  • How shitty would it have been if Palin was VP and McCain had died in office... jesus.

  • @TheGut1008 Why, because it says so in a bronze age fairy tale? There is no God. Grow up.

  • Poor man is heading to hell even at this moment, REPENT PEOPLE!!!

  • The funniest thing here is that they Imply in the box below that Hitchens is a Conservative. Jesus People. One stance does not an ideology make. False dichotomy slaves

  • Did Matthews ever just get down on his knees and full out fellate Obama? If not he totally wanted to.

  • Christ Mathews needs to take a breath and stay on point. People think that this war is some easy thing to think about or an election is an easy thing to think about and one of the WORST stigmas of all, THAT PEOPLE CAN'T ACCEPT IT WHEN SOMEONE CHANGES THEIR MIND!

  • RIP Christopher Hitchens. An absolutely brilliant arguer, debater and thinker.

  • What an annoying ginger gobshite.

  • omg the noise of matts voice... urghhh

  • october 24 is my birthday~

  • @xiAomUffin Awesome.

  • Hitchens has such blind hatred of religion that sometimes I get the feeling that he would support genocide to eradicate it. Even though I'm an atheist, I really don't like his imperialistic views.

  • @ComicPenius it's not blind, his hatred comes from great knowledge about the subject and he very righteously attacks it for many legitimate reasons

  • @simmy3000 So you support genocidal Middle Eastern wars in the name of eradicating Islam?

  • @ComicPenius Oh shall we just let the Taliban do their thing in Afghanistan and Pakistan? just sit back and let them conjure up more reasons to practice their insane texts? Let Iran build up more hatred towards the West and the other countries surrounding, a crazy Theocrasy that will eventually get hold of a Nuclear weapon. I don't support Genocide at all, but what are your solutions? a friendly chat perhaps?

  • @simmy3000 Ah, yes, attack people before they attack us! The foundation of any great society.

  • @ComicPenius you're not living in the real world, there are people out there that would love to take advantage on your atitude, and they will if you give them a chance. Go back to your Lennon and Yoko videos

  • @simmy3000 You sound very aggressive. I think I may have to come over to your house and get rid of you in case you do something bad.

  • @ComicPenius I'll sit and wait with bated breath

  • @simmy3000 Obviously my point eluded you. Not surprising.

  • @ComicPenius Oh no, I understood. It's was just a very basic quip that has no relevance. These people sound more than just a little aggressive I'm afraid

  • @simmy3000 The US's activites in the Middle East over the last 50+ years since Operation Ajax is what has caused most of the hatred.

Hitchens quotes intelligence reports yet he seems to bypass the ones that deal with blowback.

  • I reckon 2 americans could have 3 conversations all at the same time. How the hell do they do that without passing out from lack of oxygen?

  • 2 guys who both like to interrupt = headache

  • He's judging based on character rather than policy it seems.

  • So he would've let McCain run a year ago...

  • Chris Mathews has the best laugh on TV. :)

  • "its...morally and intellectually impossible to vote for the republicans" I think Hitchens really hit the nail on the head with this, sure republican economic decisions will most likely reduce our debt level, but they are aligned with the most religious, science hating, fanatics that the western world has, and so I feel as though I can't vote republican as I would be hindering scientific and intellectual progress in the US

  • Hitchens last expression was like, "Gah...what the hell is 'Hard Ball'? Who recommended I go on this peace of crap? ...more like 'Soft Ball'."

  • People think Vanity is brilliant....lol. Vanity = Egotism which always ends in comedy....lol. Therefore enjoy the jokes! :)

  • What's awesome about Hitchens is he doesn't play partisan. He will knock Ronald Reagan or criticize Maher's audience for thinking they are smarter than Bush. He speaks his mind always, and doesn't take sides just for conformity.

  • @stormblast49 thats why i love him he is completely rational about everything. If someone says something he agrees with he will compliment them for it regardless of politics they are associated with. He doesnt play the smear game.

  • Palin is NOT any smarter...even now...she has "aides" who think up her next step in a climb to "wealth" ? Also, imagine HER "writing" a book or Bristol Palin writing a memoir at age 20.

  • Hitchens on Hardball? Hitchens is Hardball!

  • This host needs to learn to listen a little bit.

Or, is interruption his only defense to prevent him getting Hitchslapped?

  • god I hate chris mathews, I would fucking punch that windbag's head off if I ever saw him, and I'm liberal btw.

  • Why does this host shout so much?

  • Oh my god! Was Hitchens just interviewed by someone who WASN'T a complete moron? Its the end of times!!!

  • For one to believe that some god needs to be appeased by sacrifice for its own repeated mistakes, when it's supposed to be all able, is a tribute to the power of the mind. A tribute to it's ability to fabricate nonsense, and have the individual believe it, and defend it till death, even in the face of evidence to the contrary.

  • What the fuck? Can the interviewer let hitchens finish a god damn sentence?

  • Vote for Hitchens in the Time's 100 most influential person!!!!!!! he's at 28,465 and climbing search Time 100 Christopher Hitchens in Google and vote!!!!

  • 匚卄尺工ち匕口ㄗ卄モ尺 .....卄工匕匚卄モれち 1949 - ∞

GET WELL TRIBUTE ON MY PAGE!

  • It seems only Hitchens can get away with using "querulous" and then immediately use "weird" as his next adjective.

  • Will Mathews EVER LEARN to SHUT UP when he is talking to someone that is obviously ten times more intelligent than he is??

  • "I find it interesting that both men of the right and women of the right, and men of the left and women of the right...and women of the left..."

    ha.

  • @itchynights haaaaaaaa

  • @itchynights ......and women of the right...and women of the left....or is it right?? Haha. He looks so confused by his own comments.

  • haha McCain's senile, gotta love Hitch.

  • Chris Matthews is a fucking douchebag...

I guess it's not his fault though. All of the political pundits and commentators not only have no fucking clue what they're talking about it, but also couldn't give a fuck less about what their guests have to say--all they give a shit about is furthering their own agendas and popularity.

Until the news, and politics in particular, focus on the actual issues rather than their campaigns and popularity, we shall forever toil in niggerdom. Word

  • He supported the war in Iraq? Sad.

  • @fandanstan I agree with you. It is kind of sad that Hitchens supported that, but I still love the guy. He is one of the best atheist debaters ever.

  • Chris Mathews needs to let Hitch talk.

  • @Kuriku24 This constant interrupting by the interviewer of CH is something I have noticed a lot. I wonder if other invitees to similar "shows" get similarly disrespectful treatment? I've noticed this err., "style" of jouranlism appearing on New Zealand news and current affairs and as a view, I find it most objectionable, even insulting, to witness. CH handles them well but what of those not quite-so media savy? The old style of inteviewing "I ask/you answer" makes for much better viewing.

  • man this interviewer is such an ass

  • @tnekkc pretty bad troll heh

  • These guys have a combined intelligence of 84%...Yeah lefty's like pleasing words.

They don't care about results. Just lie to me.

Lefty's are the rats that obey the pipe piper. Whistle in their ears and their rat brains don't know any different or better- just working for that bit of Cheese.

Poor little things. If they only knew they deserved much more than rats.

  • The word Hindsight comes to mind.

  • I will NEVER VOTE FOR ANYONE WITH A TELEPROMPTER.

  • @DamnYourReallyUgly "I will NEVER VOTE FOR ANYONE WITH A TELEPROMPTER." That's a pretty funny comment seeing how every president has used one for quite some time now.

  • Even someone as wise as Hitchens ignores facts, argument, and reason for his re-held beliefs.

  • Well, Obama's conservative mind just lost us well over a hundred billion bucks to the pockets of the MILLIONS of millionaires and hundreds of fucking THOUSAND millionaires (Billionaires). No compromise he said; only because him and his party was weak and didn't fight on an issue in which most of the country were on his side and agreed with him.

Frustrating. Extending the Bush tax cuts isn't change. And especially not change I can 'believe' in. I pray to the FSM in the end he does shit right.Dam

  • The host sounds like he's had several strokes...

  • Time has proven this to be shameful. Obama and the dems have destroyed the economy, spent 2 years working on heathcare reform that is being thrown out by the courts as the economy sinks even further, Palin had more experience that Obama and Biden isn't qualified to be pres. either and McCain will probably outlive Obama and Biden. Age discrimination is ok in the dems book if it works for them?

  • @mudducks10801 - Palin had more experience? Once you say that then you lose all credibility in whatever you say afterwards. I find it so interesting that being dumb in this country means your a true American and being smart means your an elitist, lol. You need to get your facts straight dear before you comment. You obviously have been watching too much Fixed News. Obama destroyed the economy? Too bad facts and history aren't on your side:)

  • [3] And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

[4] Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

[5] And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

[6] Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

[7] Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

    [8] He that committeth

  • Hitler did animal rights his first day in office and was vegetarian for moral reasons.

He then began his program of re distribution of wealth through high taxes and entitlements.

    He was a flaming liberal.

But he only got up to 44% of GDP, and 70 years later, Obama topped that with 45%.

  • @tnekkc he was not a vegan for moral reasons, it was for health reasons. and a flaming liberal? he wasn't as right wing as many liberal's like to think he was, but he was by no means a liberal, as conservatives would like to think he was. Hitler is not comparable to Obama in the least, okay, so he redistributed wealth, but he was not humanitarian, pro-gay, or strongly anti religion

  • The evidence is a personal expierience. Feeling the holy ghost, Seeing auras, hearing his voice, developing a strong conscience, losing interest in bad things, attracting different people and expieriences into your life, having an increased knowledge and understanding instantly, feeling more loving, feeling a presence, feeling content, feeling the hole that seems to consume everything become filled, noticing more coincidences, having strong intuition, seeing the effects of karma. all these.

  • @jasonwkeller76 personal experience isn't evidence, you twat. your batshit interpretation of what was probably indigestion only exposes you as...well...batshit crazy. get a hobby.

  • @jasonwkeller76 Welcome to the world of marijuana. It's not a bad thing.

  • Unbridled liberalism leads to genocide, it never fails.

It requires eternal vigilance to keep the evil liberals in check.

Hitler or Obama, it does not matter, they are pulling in the same humanist collectivist direction.

  • @tnekkc there's nothing wrong with humanism.

  • Christianity religion good

    Liberal religion bad.

Liberals, like Hitler, Mao, Pol Pot, and Stalin have murdered or starved over 100,000,000 in the last 100 years.

    Bigger gov is evil

    Collectivism is evil

    Liberalism is evil.

Obama, Pelosi, and Reid are evil.

Christianity is good, and will triumph over the evil liberalism in the end.

Fundamentalist liberals like Hitler and Obama believe in cap and trade and socialized medicine, and gun control, and persecuting Christians.

  • @tnekkc Generalizations like this are just awful. A few points:

    1. "Liberalism" is not mutually exclusive with religion.

    2. The concept of "cap-and-trade" did not in any notable way exist during those men's lives.

    3. Hitler never left the church, and cited Jesus often when justifying his hatred for the Jews.

    4. Massacring hundreds of millions of people is in no way, shape, or form equivalent to supporting liberal politics. If you can make that connection, then you are truly sick-minded.

  • @tnekkc

Yeah! damn freedom loving liberals, stop trying to make our kids gay! Go back to Russia.

  • @Chinomareno

Since when to Liberals want freedom?

They want to regulate everyone's life.

Gun control, affirmative action, global warming, health care reform, and enhanced pat downs at the airport.

  • @tnekkc

You do realize many of the men that created the US constitution were considered radical libertarians.

US health care needs reform, but you didn't really get any because Obama was too gutless to stand up to a congress bought by the insurance industry.

Increased pat downs started after 911 with a conservative government and understandably so.

I've got no idea where you got this Idea Hitler was a humanist libertarian, open a dictionary sometime.

  • @Chinomareno

I know that Obama and Hitler are not a perfect match, Obama is a military pussy, and kills with drones. Hitler killed with an in your face blitz.

But on social issues, they are the same liberal: humanitarian, urban, artsy, gay connections, gun control, anti religion, big taxes, big spending, socialized medicine, nationalized banks and auto industry, and lots of regulations on biz.

The reform the health care needs in the US is for the gov to get far away from it.

  • @tnekkc in all honesty, what's wrong with artsy, urban, gay, humanitarian and anti religion?

  • @EnergizerBunny804

Hitler already did it, and the big gov got out of control.

  • @tnekkc hitler was a humanitarian?, I didn't say a thing about big government, but ho is urban, humanitarian, gay, artsy or anti-religion a bad thing?

  • @tnekkc

There are no similarities, Hitler slaughtered millions of people, look up what humanism means... He had homosexuals gassed too, even though he overlooked it inside the party(hell there were even Jews given exception). Unlike Obama he actually managed to pull his country out of depression through rearmament and reinvestment before plunging it back into the middle ages.

These are like Glenn Beck's talking points, he doesn't know what half these terms mean either.

  • @Chinomareno

You are so right they are not the same.

    Obama is taller.

  • @tnekkc christianity is a joke. liberal isn't a religion. bigger government is certainly evil, but there our agreement abruptly ends.

  • @tnekkc You are a horribly dumb fuck.

  • For anyone who wants to KNOW they are going to heaven this is for you. Peace be with you and your families.

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." -Romans 10:9

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16

  • @warriorspikes51 Heaven is fluke. The bible is written by fraud after fraud after fraud after fraud. Peace will be with us all once this obsurd religion meme is irradicated for good. Only then will there be peace on this earth.

  • People just seem do better on Christianity than on atheism.

It is like the natural food diet vs the junk food diet.

Christians live longer and are healthier than atheists.

  • @tnekkc You do realize that there is nothing that supports that claim. It's a baseless and blindeyed assertion. Because if you were to look for it, you would see that the only evidence is quite the opposite by a landslide. What is atheism? Seriously, because there is no such thing. I understand what your implications are, but again it's a word that is thrown around liberally like strawmen lingos and arguments are made of. The correct term is atheists not atheism. Context is everything

  • @splicedenergy

I believe that recent research proves that Republican have more and better sex than democrats, proving the superiority of Christianity over government worshiping atheists.

I know that Christopher was more of a libertarian, only half saved from the demonic liberalism that tortures short people.

  • @tnekkc What the flying fuck kind of off the wall disingenuous bullshit is that. You are fucked in the head. I guess that qualifies for good sex to you. First off, there is no such thing as liberlism. And just because people disagree does not put them in the liberal category. And I'm not gonna let you take Jfk's world view and use it as a tool for you to instigate and antagonize me and whoever else you want to make an ass of yourself to. Fuck you and your fictional statistics

  • @splicedenergy

I believe there is a mental disorder, called liberalism, and you have it.

You try to make decisions based on aesthetic criteria, instead of being a practical conservative.

I do not think you deserve straight answers until you renounce the evil DNC.

  • @tnekkc Mental disorders are based upon medical observations, and substantiated by facts. Not beliefs. You and you god damn religion. You think belief means proof. And apply it to everything else. Fuck that. Religion is dying, it's time for reasonable rational and conclusive order that doesn't thrive off cultural mythological meme. You should be hung for your traitorous deframation of JFK. I don't give a fuck what ails you, straighten up and fly right, not fly off your flat earth

  • @splicedenergy

Mental disorders, like any other malady, are anything you don't like.

There must be millions of physiological syndromes.

Unlike naming a new species, it does not require anything unique to exist, except in your mind. And you can make up anything you want to.

    What does it all mean?

    Psychology ain't science.

  • @tnekkc You know nothing of science. Do not presume you can spout of about it. Stupid. No it is not phsychology. It's PHSYCHIATRY! Which is science. Mental disorders are not things you don't like. That's the stupidest thing I've heard from a republitard this week! I should start handing out rewards and shit. You people do not have a lick of sense or an iota of common knowledge and still have just enough to keep your heart beating and your lungs heaving. You are living proof god doesn't exist!

  • @splicedenergy

    I design things that work.

What are you liberals going to make, a flower arrangement?

  • @tnekkc It wasn't religion that discovered the many medical procedure's/preventatives, in place today, responsible for longer and fuller life... Thats right, it was mostly down to scientists..... if you look at the numbers, Christians have Murdered and raped many thousands...... religion is a very bad thing, based solely on authority...

  • Chris Mathews sucks at interviewing anyone. his brain cells have lost cohesion.

  • Chris Mathews sucks at interviewing anyone.

  • 6:21 men of the right, and women of the right... and men of the left and women of the right... and women of the left... and women of the south... and men of the west... and goblins of the underground... and dark lords of mordor... and spaceships of the galaxy...

  • Chris did not believe in God, but believed in smoking and drinking.

How did that work out for him?

  • @tnekkc

    Desperate grasping at unrelated subjects.

Childish, simplistic and a complete non starter as far as attempting to assasinate a character.

Its pleasing to see how frightened the almost thinking bible bashers are of this man.

  • @tnekkc. Don't speak of him in the past tense. You're using belief in two very different contexts and on top of that the insinuation that Chris's cancer is a result of him not believing in God is laughable. Your mind is a feeble tool as is apparent by your comment.

  • @IanEColeman

His lifestyle helped him get the disease of affluence, cancer.

    Feeble minds infer too much.

  • @tnekkc. Well then what was ever the point of mentioning his lack of belief in God with his habits of smoking and drinking? As Chubcatcher says these subjects are unrelated. The only lesson to be learned is that smoking and drinking (more so smoking I imagine) can lead to cancer of the esophagus. I'm sure that Hitchens himself knew that. Your mind proves more and more feeble as it produces more and more garbage.

  • @IanEColeman

There are 3 bad thinks about Hitchens; smoking, drinking, and atheism.

He is not a private person.

He is not just a celbrety for unrelated talent.

He is a proponent of political opinion.

    He is a critic.

So I feel good making up a laundry list about him and knowing what I am doing.

I don't care if some feeble minded person objects.

  • @tnekkc. Atheism isn't a bad thing. Religion is. What kind of person claims religious superiority and then amorally ignores the moral deficiency in prying into you subjective view of what's negative about someone you don't even know?

You should have just watched a sermon on why God hates masturbators or something.

  • Another misquided liberal atheist. Hopefully one day he'll wake up and smell the coffee.

  • @Imakecents Yeah, he has a lot of nerve being intelligent. Fucking elitist dickheads, each and every one of them.

BTW, misguided has a "g" in it.

  • @Imakecents Just because he'd smash your fractured views of reality and turn you into a big heaping pile of republican rubble, doesnt mean he is misguided. Go thump your bible and come back when you have a working brain.

  • @viletree You, another young person who thinks he KNOWS the world. You have a lot of life to live and still a lot of growing up to do. And of course more of God's word, the bible, in your life too.

  • @Imakecents in what way is Christopher Hitchens misguided?

  • Chris matthews needs a hearing aid, he clearly doesnt understand the force of his own voice. he talks too dam loud!

  • when he called mccain borderline senile thats like a hitch slap to the balls

  • @Angelsword135 thats a bit of a disgraceful comment to make. do you usually use this type of forum for such disgusting discourse? you are a child.

  • @Angelsword135

    Are you a Christian, Angelsword135?

  • @Angelsword135 Fucking cunt. For that you should suffer. Rightwing Neocon cocksucker.

  • @Angelsword135 Does your name mean Angel's word? or Angel sword? Either way, you could never be an "Angel." It's people like you that have made our country as pitiful and shameful as it is now. I don't wish anything bad to happen to you, but I DO wish that you relieve yourself of your muddled thinking and learn about morality.

  • If he's so smart, then why's he dying?

  • @abe2517 he lived alot longer than Jesus Christ, that's pretty damn smart to me

  • @abe2517 If there's a direct co-relation between intelligence and life expectancy, you should be dead already.

  • @abe2517

You sir, are a vicious prick.

  • Now who is "deteriorating rapidly" and "looks weird" Mr. Hitchens? Sometimes life is very fair to some people.

  • @iSAW7 that is kind of low. Also, hitchens isn't running for president.

  • @seanw25 Low or not, its true.

  • hitchens is not an neocon by any standards

  • Oooooohhhh Oakey Doakey Artee-Chokie. Oooooooo yea feerrrrr sure.

Fucking Sarah Palin. I might tap that, but there's no way I'd vote for her in a million years :P

  • i think christopher should run for president

  • @gwood1991 Well he cant, he's dying of cancer now :(

  • wow, mathews can be not a douchrbag for about five minutes once in awhile!?

  • I was so psyched to vote for McCain, and then he chose Palin. I voted for Obama, because there's no way I could intellectually and responsibly vote Palin into office.

  • matthews seemed pretty querulous himself. but i wonder, what does hitchens think obama after he's abandoned any notion of centrism and has gone on a pie-in-the-sky spending spree since taking office.

  • @SimulacrumMaster

    Like what?

  • This reporter has the most abnoxious voice I've ever heard. If it weren't for Hitchens I wouldn't have watched this whole thing.

  • I lean towards neo-conservativism myself, but I still voted for Obama (reluctantly) because there was no way I was going to vote in a 70 something yr old man with a complete dimwit as a VP.

  • @annaknowsu

yeah, i faced a similar dilemma. Was never a big fan of Obama, but it was lesser of the two evils.

I actually ended up voting for a 3rd party though, because I was in a solid blue state, which made no difference. If I was in a swing state I would have voted for Obama.

  • Well, listening to that love fest for Obama, I wonder how you feel about him today.

  • Good point: republicans are anti-intellectualists. Chris is absolutely amazing!

  • I definitely agree that anti-intellectualism is the problem. Probably moreso than religion. Sure, it may have come out of religion but still..

  • "He sounds querulous, he looks weird", haha, I love Hitchens.

  • Anti-intellectualism in the US, or anywhere for that matter, finds its roots in religion.

  • The Republicans have mass hysteria. And it just gets worse as time goes by.

  • The US is US......thank fuck I prefer noodles and rice to ground beef anyway

  • women of the right...and women of the left......and men of the right.....and men of left.....and of the right.......and women of the right.......and the left.....

  • @stitcha123 I was all set to type in exactly what you did. Glad I took a peek at the recent comments for this vid.... ;-) Thumbs up to you!

  • You know it's going to be good when he says McCain "looks weird". ROFL

  • This interview here just made RendContoere fall in love with Christopher Hitchens. If there are no political commenters who have interest in pointing out the idiocy and satirical absurdity of the Republican Party's current state, at least there still is Christopher.

  • This interview here just made me fall in love with Christopher Hitchens. If there are no political commenters who have interest in pointing out the idiocy and satirical absurdity of the Republican Party's current state, at least there still is Christopher.

  • He was never big on Obama, he, like many others, didn't want any chance of Sarah Palin becoming president.

  • what the... 6:24 = Both men of the right and women of the right and men of the left and women of the right .. and women of the left.

    :D

  • McCain gets a nice slow but firm Hitchslap.

  • @mraindog81 Haha. Hitchslapped

  • "John McCain is a lot older than he was in January. A LOT older. And it shows: he sounds querulous, he looks weird ... There's a big difference to be enforced between being a veteran, being old, being experienced, and simply being elderly ... It's worrying to hear the sort of whistling note in McCain's voice ... there's something weird about the way he reacts." Hitchslapped indeed. I made up the term. Spread it around.
