I have an 05 ram.. Pretty alright mileage.. But what would be proper air pressure on the tires?? My trunk gets sick attention cause of the sound it makes.. It has flowmaster but it's cut off so it's hidden under.

@speeddemon0712 your tires can kill your milage pretty badly, some of it may be your air pressure, airpressure affects milage quite badly. my 07 ram quad cab 4.7 gets 23+ mpg with proper air pressure but if it gets low i can see my milage drop.

best mileage i have got is with one full tank went 350 miles and its was on empty and light was on.

@GligorovDimce its very possible although since i got some mud tires i hav seen it drop. but with street tires its very possible to see 24mpg pretty often. atleast on flat ground. doing 45mph.

@GligorovDimce thats cause u got a flowmaster they are one of the worst flowing mufflers u can get theyre all about sound, a magnaflow would have been a much better choice

hey man how's your gas mileage? i just got an 02' 4.7 and my first tank was like 13.3mpg on 50/50 city/highway driving. its a single cab, but i do have real meaty 285/70/17 goodyear wrangler a/t tires. still seems like i'd get better gas mileage you know? i use to have an 03' single cab HEMI and i could get 13-14 pretty easy. something just doesnt seem right. can my tires kill my mileage that bad?

@aaminjoshi91 On something like that i would go with a si/do, which is a muffler that goes from one pipe and exits with two. Look at Flowmaster website.

I like my 4.7 but it's got the gears set so low it acts like to doesn't have a pair. If it had better get up and go i'd love it. needless to say the fuel mileage sucks too. Springtime I'll add FM44's and a K&N

Sick truck man! I used to have that chrome fender trim but it didn't look good on black, but it looks great on your truck! And Flowmasters sound awesome on the 4.7L, I honestly think it sounds better than the Hemi.

wow that was alot of crome haha... i had some on mine when i bought it, but i basically stripped the whole thing. not be to be racist or anything, but it was a mexican truck! lifted it back up to factory, took all the stickers off, took off the crome fender flares, new tires. only thing left is to put a rear step/bumber in the back, but thats an expensive fix so ill wait... nice truck btw

I have the same truck and have got up to 27 on highway...the extra power the 5.7L gives you helps out on your gas

Sounds pretty good, but I like the way my pickup sounds much better, but I might be a little biased. I have a 94 Chevy, I cut the cat off and put true dual on. I put glass packs on as far forward as possible and ran 2.5" tailpipes all the way out the back. It starts to cackle at 1700 rpm, it is rather loud, it can be heard from over six miles away (kinda makes sneaking home hard).
