That sounds about right, and explains the age and Polaroid references. When I first heard it, I thought it was about something less savoury, but (a) They don't normally use Polaroids for that (well, amateurs used to, but that's a different kettle of fish) and (b) Most countries set the legal limit for *that* sort of photography at 18.

Not that modelling is a particularly savoury business if half of what I've heard is true.

I agree about quality agencies or casting calls and back then. I once worked as a photographer's assistant and did my own side work in my youth's long list of part time jobs. I saw very few avante garde things... and some attempts. Mostly, it was routine but fun.
