I've got a better idea than modifying the Nintendo Wii. Follow these instructions carefully:

you realize that you can reinstall the homebrew channel when its updated right? i upgraded to 4.2 right before i put the homebrew channel on mine and it works perfectly :D you just have to reinstall the homebrew firmware and it should work as good as it did before

Guys, if you want to play games and still get a few games from N64, NES, SNES, etc, get a WAD channel atleast. The System Update destroys the channel but not game channels themselves.

yea and what sucks is i can,t use the wii shop channle lol it says i have to update my wii. and i got like 6000 wii points in their. lol 60 bucks down the drin. but yea im not updateing and btw if u had back luncher as a wad u could still play burnt disk. and yea the updates was fast. 4.1 was kinda new. and 4.2 came out so soon.. so yea i,ll have to use wads now lol.
