This is basic and effective. It's sort of counter intuitive to walk into a striking opponent, but believe me, if somebody needs to show off in public and you end up being his target, he wont know what hit him when he throws a punc or a kick and you immediately surge in with an elbow to the temple or jaw.
@NothingDoingChief it's not counter-intuitive to walk into a striking opponent, he steps in too close for the kick's range, if the kick hits with the shin it doesn't do nearly as much as the knuckle of the foot where it's supposed to hit on that type of kick. the closer you get to the opponent the less swing or torque there is on the kick.
