They are defiantly not metalcore. I would say somewhere around the ballpark of mathcore, but not mathcore necessarily. I think they have a really original sound, so I'm not really sure where you could put them

Just call it hardcore. Mathcore is a stupid label. Loud dissonant music

will generally have complex/chaotic song structures. Hardcore doesn't

have a sound. Henry Rollins defined hardcore to be diy and free from

the conformity that comes with producing music as a commodity, rather

than artistic expression. So what do kids continue to do? Try to classify everything, just like

what the status quo does. Retards.

For mathcore, The Chariot is also good and current ( K05weZYExPU ) - some of their members have collaborated with Architect before, though I forget the name of that project. Botch is also the classic example.
