Yah, playing defacto home bowl games is really tough.
You can argue till you are blue in the face, won't change the fact that a second national title trumps one more game in the win column. Not only that, but this was just a drop in the bucket for Nebraska. The Cornhuskers have been the most dominating college football team over the last 50 years, both by winning percentage and number of games won.

We were 7-4-1 against the Gators in the 90's, including the bowls. You guys got your only championship that decade from the mulligan title in '96(when FSU had 11 starters out with the flu), 5 weeks after we beat you guys. We had 2 titles in the 90's.
