Thanks for this video, like the others who posted, I used to ride the Glen Echo Street car all summer, swim in the pool, and ride the rides. What Fun! Great memories! Thanks.

Great memories of my childhood..riding the STREETCAR (The term Trolley was used in Baltimore Not DC) to Glen Echo!! The streetcar ride was almost more fun the the rides in the park!
Thanks for the ideo. I have not seen images of Glen Echo since I was a boy. I rode my first roller coaster there. I used to have movies of the huge swinning pool and the great slide into the water but I have lost them. Your video brought back many fond memories. Thanks again!!
Thanks for posting this...it sure brings back a lot of memories...When I was a kid in the early 50's, I lived at 14th and Webster in DC and went to Glen Echo all the time....I remember the car stopped at the DC line to switch from under car power to overhead wires....Glen Echo was a great place then.. And part of the fun was the streetcar ride there...
Now known as the "Glen Echo Turn-around," not many people know it was a trolley amusement park.

what year is this taken?
My mother Elsie worked at Glen Echo, she was the girl at the WHIP ride she took tickets.
My Aunt Irene worked another ride in the park.
