  • Total bunk.

  • actually make that 0:48

  • LOL my favorite part of the whole broadcast comes at 0:53

  • Afraid of Obama??? Why?

  • My radio station carried Paul Harvey. He was GREAT! He is sorely missed... a true icon of radio, news and media...

  • @mdenero bullshit

  • Cap and Tax will knock back an already struggling economy with 10.2% (many more just gave up) unemployment. Likewise Health care's 2000 plus page travesty will knock jobs out of insurance while marriage tax penalty will promote illigitimate birthing. New Jersey's black leader limited welfare moms to a certain number in 1963 (see 1963 Paul Harvey Youtube), guess Octomom would have left Jersey! Paul Harvey was a friend to Capitalism which is more than I can say for MANY Democrat Socialists 32?

  • Stupidass thing to say .....guess ol' (Rightie) Paul was pretty senile at the end!

  • And even on his worse day, he was far more intelligent and eloquent than you could ever dream of being. Good Day.

  • The Norman Rockwell of radio.

  • I liked it when he defended torturing Iraqis. He was such a nice, compassionate man.

  • You are right. He was the GREATEST person you would ever hear. As long as you remember that, you will be ok in life.

  • I remember first listening to Paul Harvey when I was a kid in the early '80s, when the top 40 station in Northern Michigan would air his broadcasts. And my brother and I would always giggle when he came to his signoff - good DAY! Paul Harvey was a legendary voice, and one of the few people on radio that everybody knew about regardless of musical taste. Therre won't be anybody else like him...and he will be missed terribly.

  • Paul Harvey was the greatest radio news commentator that ever lived . As a kid , I loved " The Rest of The Story . " His show was for all ages and yes , you could learn something new by just listening to what he had to say .

  • I miss his "news and comment". I remember when i was in high school, I would sneak out to my truck and listen to him while eating my lunch. When I was stationed overseas AFN played his segment at midnight and I would listen even while on patrol. This man will surely be missed. I am certain that nobody will be able to get the job done quite like he did, "good day".

  • I miss Paul Harvey already

  • A truly great american that will be sorely missed. Paul Harvey was the best of the best at delivering the news in his distinct way. I will miss those words "stand by for news and "good day". I've enjoyed listening to Paul Harvey for many years. How could a persons day be complete without listening to his news and comments? It sure won't be the same without him. May he rest in peace. Thanks for all the memories.

  • May he rest in peace, Paul Harvey, was truly a great american.

  • why are you so angry my friend? anyone who did what Mr. Harvey did for 60 years must have been doing something right.

  • I used to listen to him everyday when I was younger and still got a kick out of him whenever I got the chance to hear him on the radio. One of the last true great americans. R.I.P

  • Paul Harvey did have a good sense of humor along with his distinctive voice.

  • Love it!!! that was great. Sadly he will be missed

  • I listened to him as a child.and still as an adult..I remember before going to school I would hear him on the radio...it takes me back hearing him. I would have loved to hear Paul Harvey's opinion on the coming years in the Obama presidency. Sadly we will never hear that broadcast. R.I.P Mr. Harvey .You were a great man. The world will be missing you.

  • Paul sure did get it right. for 76 years on the radio since he was 14. He was the best voice on the radio and truly a friend to America. We'll miss ya Paul! (:

  • you people who are making these negative comments are going to die someday ... have a little respect for the dead.

  • Good day Paul and rest in peace

  • Rest in Peace Paul..... Good day

  • Paul was right on! RIP. You got lucky Mr. Harvey, you got out during Obamas presidency! Its only going to get MUCH WORSE.

  • Hard to find a class act like that these days.....Rest in peace Paul......

  • You're a classy guy arent ya? This "joke" was from Jay Leno, you moron.

  • Spoken like a true liberal

  • Get a life. Good God.

  • Yeah, and I'm sure that your side treated the previous president with kid gloves.

    /sarcasm off

In all seriousness, though, I am by no means in the demographic that he catered to, but I have very pleasant memories of listening to Paul Harvey on Saturday afternoons in the 90s.

    Ave atque vale.

  • He was always easy listening weather you agreed with him or not RIP Mr Harvey

  • RIP Paul Harvey...your words were a standard in my household growing up, through my 26 years of life, you will be dearly missed.

  • Rest in peace, sir. You will be missed.

  • Good Day! Mr Harvey. We will miss you.

  • Good day, Mr. Harvey. You will be missed so very much. When I was younger, we used to joke about your one of a kind "delivery" of the news. That was when I was young and full of myself. Now, I find myself very saddened by the news of your passing. That one of a kind voice and delivery are stilled forever with the exception of recordings such as this. Rest in peace, sir.

  • Growing up I can remember being in the car with my dad and hearing Paul Harvey. I always wanted to know the rest of the story. Good Day Paul Harvey!

  • RIP paul harvey you will be missed

  • his death made me cry today

  • Radio News will never be the same. RIP Paul Harvey.

  • News radio will never be the same again rest in peace paul

  • Rest in Peace :) What You've Done for Everyone Will Long be Remembered

  • Paul Harvey had the best collection of great stories, the type that enparted wisdom and or moral lessons,

Whenever he came on, I turned the volume up!

    RIP Paul

  • Loved to listen to him. I'll miss you Paul Harvey..... Good Day.

  • Paul Harvey is/was a distant blood relative of mine. I missed a chance to meet him when I was 12 and again a few years ago when he came to main campus at PSU.....

  • You are home w/ Lynne now. Thank you for all the stories you brought to us as if we were your friend sitting next to you on a porch. Thank you for helping inspire me into journalism. We will miss you...

  • When I was little I used to listen to him all the time. We need people more like him.

  • This old cocksucker was worth a helluva lot more to society than you fvck face! He was a blood relative of mine. Wanna get personal with it? BRING IT!!!!!!

  • You're right man, I apologize. I'm dying of cancer and am on a lot of painkillers so sometimes I get messed up and post insensitive comments. I hope you accept my apology. Don't worry, I'll be dead in six months.

  • The best ever thanks Paul. No Good Day to You

  • Goodbye and God bless Mr. Harvey! The world is a lesser place without you!!

  • Paul, you'll be missed.

  • RIP

  • Ill miss Him :((

  • Rest In Peace, Mr. Harvey. You were the best.

  • and he sure got two of the three...

I can't believe Paul Harvey is gone. I know he had a long life--he must've really missed his wife, Lynne. It's sad. I remember being a kid, coming home from kindergarten and eating a sandwich while Paul Harvey read the news on the radio. What a voice and delivery the man had.

  • Goodbye and thanks for the memories.

  • R.I.P Paul Harvey I will miss his rest of the story and for what it's worth

  • RIP Friend. Thanks for all the hard work. You were a real hero !

  • Comment removed

  • i wish fairnessdoctrine09 would hurry up and kill himself already so i could say the same shit about him on his day of death.

  • I guess you could say that.

A long time ago, men used to have more dignity and they had respect for their rivals. During Christmas 1914 in the midst of WWI, the Germans began lobbing chocolate cake at the English soldiers. This gradually led to a cease fire. Both sides climbed out of their trenches and played soccer and sang Christmas carols.

  • I can think of a lot of people in the main stream media today, that I would have had to MUCH rather of taken his place. My 77 year old Father and I will dearly miss Him.

  • No! NO! NO!!! When I heard the name Paul Harvey. I didn't think it was this guy. :(

I can't believe he's dead! I always used to listen to him whenever going to school, I'd hear him on the radio while driving and it would always brighten up my day. I loved the way this guy talked, he could take any subject and make it interesting and downright intriguing. There was just something about his voice that was so endearing to listen to.

I can't believe it. RIP Paul Harvey. You were the best.

  • RIP bro gonna miss ya.

  • That voice... so sad, will never hear it live again.

  • This truly is the rest of the story. But what a story. Mr Harvey was a straight shooter and we basked in his whimsical anecdotes. The news a had a human face by way of his telling it and we were glad that somebody, other than a commentator shared our more conservative views about the world. Good show sir. You were a true gentleman (from Oklahoma no less) and there is no one to replace you. THAT is the rest of the story.

  • I loved listening to him! RIP Good Man! Good Night

  • loved his voice when I was a kid.

As an adult, hated his views.

  • Thats funny you say that. As a kid I felt he was the smartest guy on the radio. I wanted him to run for president. Then as an adult he seemed to turn into a PETA loving greenie. Maybe his illness had something to do with it. Just the sound of his voice brings back fond memories.

RIP Mr. Harvey You will be missed. Good Day

  • Awesome person.remembering his voice since i can remember.

  • It's a sad day today. I loved hearing his voice.

  • I'm going to miss him, he was great. It seems like he was always there. I remember hearing him as a child. His voice was so monotonous but he was very charismatic at the same time. R.I.P. Paul Harvey

  • Exelent! Paul Harvey Was Great!

    Unfortionatly,

    He Died Today! 90Years Old.

GOD BLESS, His Soul! He'll Be Missed!

  • Rest in peace, Paul Harvey...

  • i love that, "Paul Harvey, Good Day!"

  • a great man always.

  • I used to work in radio as a broadcaster, and one day when the name/owners changed they passed out a little survey to understand employees radio tastes. One question was who is your radio hero? My answer was Paul Harvey. I was a Rock Radio Disc Jockey. The General Manager actually read that, and questioned my answer. It was at that point, I believe the GM began to suspect that I had lost my marbles! Whatever, Paul Harvey still ROCKS! Love ya Paul!

  • Me and my friend listen to this guy everday during lunch at school. Hahahaha hilarious man.

  • why isn't he on the radio any more its ron chapman

  • He is back on the air now.

  • He is a legendary newscaster
