  • OMG!!!! SPARKY. my name is Tim Rutkowsky! I am one of Josh Migues"s friends. I had a couple lessons with you. It is soo nice to see you on YOU TUBE! You just made me want to pick up the ol dusty horn out the case. Im in Baton Rouge right now. When I get a chance it would be great to see you again. Hope you remember me. Gods Blessings!

  • Hey Sparky...Awesome as ever... I've been having to you music as therapy...so maybe I should learn some Jazz Guitar. Belinda and I are living Happy in Mill Creek,, WA and loving it...it's the artist's dream. Just look me up on facebook at the same name posted here...

  • nice tone and improvisation

    Musically, Sparky

  • Sparky! Hey, VERY NICE JOB! I really enjoyed listening to you play this tune, AND your improvisation! I'm a "comeback player" ... I played up through my sophomore year in college, some 27 years ago, and "cameback" in March 2008. Ain't it a blast to play the horn???!!! It's even more fun to me NOW. Anyhoo, keep up the great playing and continue to have fun making nice music and sounding good. By the way, what kind of horn and mpc are you using? Best, Herb.

  • Herb,

Thanks for the nice comments. I am like most jazz musicians just trying to improve all the time. It is one of the things I love about playing jazz is that there is so much to learn. I wish you sucess with being a come back player. I have delt with many in my years of teaching at a community college.

Good luck and keep listening to jazz.

  • this is a good song, I"m gonna try to get the

    sheet music for it

  • Thanks for the comment. I use the play alongs to help keep the chops up when not gigging regular I can do it like playing a set of music. Yea they can be uninspiring but if you listen to what they play and try to respond to them you can still get some interesting solos happening. I need to add some of my live performances. Just recorded one last weekend at the Charles Brown Music Festival in Texas City. I will try to get it up soon.

    Keep practicing. Musically Sparky

  • From one trumpet player to another ... you CAN play ... centred tone ... and great (appropriate) ideas. Those backing cds can be less than inspiring ... you would sound terrific live. All the best

  • this is really nice!

  • This is awesome, thanks a lot. I really enjoyed this performane!

  • Well that was amazing! I really enjoyed your performance! 5 stars and much more :)

  • Thanks for the nice comment. Yea I could have had the background louder. I have been wanting to re-do these and should. I am getting ready to post more and hope that you enjoy those also. Some live material from the Kemah Jazz Festival in Kemah, TX south of Houston. Sparky
