  • So... AWESOME!! :O

  • All things considered, the fact that the original was a couple thousand years before the Industrial Revolution. It was found in 1901 with no treasure hunting sonar/GPS and not lost forever. AND a reproduction could be made from generic Logos parts, is awe inspiring. Has anyone in Vegas found the odds for all this. It reminds me that anything IS possible.

  • the question is: how is that gearbox flying in the air? it's not a computer, it's a flying saucer!

  • @hgratp LOL, LOL

  • Not a computer.

  • @Spoif

Of course it is, if it computes data then it is considered a computer.

  • @nazkodavid It is an analogous timepiece. A computer is a programmable device that is capable of carrying out logic / arithmetic operations in a sequential manner.

  • @Spoif

That's exactly what this device is doing. By pre-designing the gear ratio and timing, it calculates an outcome depending on the user input. I think we are splitting hairs here, lol, either way you look at it, this device computes. It may not be a computer as a computer is known to us today, but scientifically speaking it computes, there's just no doubt about it.

  • @nazkodavid I understand what you are saying, and I think we'll have to agree to disagree. Besides, I really dont want to detract from the fact that this is a beautiful piece of work, for which I thank you for sharing.

I'm waiting for a stoneware upgrade so I can run Doom3 on my Sun-dial ;) Regards.

  • @Spoif LOL, yes, it is. Good luck with the Sun-dial, let us know how you make out ,lol, have a good day.

  • I think the music is from arasaka or something ...I'm not sure

  • First thing i thought was "build it in minecraft" xD

  • @theeyeoftheduck

Darn, wish I knew, I did some extensive googling, and can't find it. Would love to use it in some home videos. In this video, the credits say Music: Corey Wills, Compositor: Paul Golden....but I assume that's for the making of the video only.

  • I am planning on building one of these, but can't find legos anymore
