I LOVE the newer version because he's not supposed to be happy like Tommy was. Half of his face is burned to a crisp, why would he be happy? haha. He would be a very depressed, evil, frustrated man which fits straight into The Dark Knight! I like the old movies as well!
I wish people would sto hating on Tommy Lee Jones' Two Face. It's WB's fault for making Batman for kids. Schumacher wanted him dark, but Warner Bros didn't allow this. That's why Two Face is the way he is in TDK. Live and learn, I guess.
in my opinion, the problem with tommy lee jones' version of two-face was that he had to much of a sense of humor. The way i see two-face is as a humorless murderer, but thats just my opinion lol
If I remember correctly, at one point in Forever, Two-Face kept flipping the coin over and over until "Heads" came up. Completely unlike Two-Face, as he always goes by the first flip.
I love in The Dark Knight, Two-Face was a tragic character. A fallen angel.
@rinraiden im not the biggest fan. but a friends send me here, ur a little wrong there. aron flipped the coin 2 times when he tornmented scarecrow. he got heads first time. then he said lets go agin. and in forever. tommy flipped the coin first to see if he kills bruce or not, he got heads, he then flippped it to see if he was gonna kill bruce's girlfriends. he got heads agin. he then tryed one last time because he was pissed
i think the problem is that in TDK 2 face was introduced but didn't get the full impact on what he could do to the city of Gotham. i do prefer Aaron's version of two face b.c he was more closer to the comic books and 90's cartoon. for all we know Aaron's probably i TDKR and return and do lots of damage with bane.......its only a thought but its not gonna happen i guess just like they said liam neeson wasn't in TDKR film when there are pictures of him on set.
tommys to face is nowhere near the one in the comics its just makeup u can tell its fake but aarons to face is much better because look at the way he looks you can tell his face is burnt n not only that if you watch btman forever two face only flips to the side he wants whil two face n TDK goes by what the coin says NO MATTER WHAT..thats the real two face but dnt get me wrng btman forever is a gud movie but tdk was much better n not only because of two face
Really, HOW THE FUCK., BATMAN FANS HAVE THE GUTS TO SAY, THAT TOMY TWO FACE IS BETTER? IT'S NOT EVEN TWO FACE! IT'S A PATHETIC ATTEMPT TO LOOK LIKE CRAZY, IMITATING THE JOKER. GEEZ! TWO FACE IS A BADASS, CRUEL, MANIAC, ANGRY GUY.
My main problem with these Two Faces was the fact they didn't really do the whole split personality thing. Other than that, Eckhart was a fantastic Two Face.
As good as Aaron Eckhart was as Two Face/Dent and Tommy Lee Jones (in his own way) I'd still wish we could have seen Billy D. Williams play Two Face...
Both Two faces were awesome. However, the original batman movies were more cartoony, than the current darker stories. Both were perfect for their era.
Tommy Lee Jones COULD have done a great two face. The guy has done serious roles, just look at his film resume'. However Batman Forever was a joke and it was likely he was directed to act very comedic for the role. So with a bad script/director it's no wonder it did so bad. I read somewhere that this [Twoface] was Joe Schumacher's chance to make a Joker-esque character
Aaron Eckhart was the PERFECT Two-Face. Christopher Nolan should fuck himself for killing him off. As much as I love Tommy's films, I absolutely HATED
his Two-Face. Shumacher should fuck himself TWICE. One for Baby Two-Face,
aaron Eckhart protrayed a realistic schizophrenic person. they're not talking to themselves but they have huge mood swings, indicating a different dominant personality. The Two-Face of The Dark Knight was the best and was originally set for the third film until Ledger died. But one of the set pictures of TDKR shows Bane ripping apart a picture of Harvey Dent, which indicates that they'll at least mention him.
@LordCYRAX148 Tommy Lee Jones was visibly copying the style of Jack Nicholson's joker. Two-Face doesn't laugh and smile and jump up and down, Two-Face is suppose to be serious and a killer, not some jokester.
@ColtSegura really? well i havent seen the movie but two face is a whacko almost like the joker remember the story line he lost his sanity by the incident that really turned him into two face i stioll think tommy lee jones was amazing for TWO-FACE he is one of my favorite supervillains too but however i do realize what else you mean by same role as jack joker.
@LordCYRAX148 he is schizophrenic, but he isn't a maniacal always laughing jokester like tommy played him to be, so far his best live portrayal was in TDK, IMO.
While Two-Face was technically the main villain of Batman Forever, he sure didn't seem like it; and while he was closer to his comic origins in The Dark Knight, and was a great role that really propelled the heart of the story in an ensemble movie, he still played 2nd fiddle to the Joker. He truly does deserve his own two-movie arc which is in the same vein of The Long Halloween/Dark Victory or his excellent portrayal on the animated series.
BTAS and LH are the best Two-Face interpretations.
i think if they didnt kill of two face and if ledger didnt die then batman 3 would have both of them in it instead of bane and catwomen but life goes on
Two-Face being my all-time favourite villain, I must and would like to admit that this video is an absolute masterpiece. Thank you, mr. silverlightsaber, for investing so much work in order to entertain us and giving us the satisfaction to enjoy our favourite characters in such tremendous way.
@DrDevilDD i say that the dark knight two-face was more serious, and thats probably why joker asked why he was serious. and tomy lee jones two-face...too joker like.
Only the most casual Batman fans liked Tommy Lee Jones as Two-Face. The rest of them didn't because Tommy Lee wasn't Two-Face! He spent most of his time standing there dancing and cackling like he was The Joker! And he didn't even abide by the mortality of his coin! Whatever it landed on heads he manipulated the outcome to whatever he wanted in the first place like at the beginning of Forever when he flipped it and it landed on heads then he used the guard as bait to trap a Batman!
Furthermore when Tommy Lee Jones "Two-Face" Dent found out that the Val Kilmer Bruce Wayne was Batman, he sat on a bench at the bottom of the Wayne Manor staircase and he kept flipping the fucking half scratched up coin until it landed on tails and then he shot Kilmer Wayne. Are you serious Lee Jones Face? Why even flip a coin in the first place if you already made up your mind? Comic book Dent flips a coin because he can't make up his mind but you sir Mr. Jones Dent apparently can.
@DrDevilDD Better Two face eh? Just explain your reasonin behind that conclusion, as Tommy Lee Jones distorted the character of Two Face almost completely, short of the coin, and seemed to have more attributes directly related to those the Joker.
I liked both equally. Tommy's was energetic and electrifying, while Aaron's was more philosophical and a little 'I-wanna-be-that-guy' due to his revenge motif. But, of course, I'll be yelled at for liking TLJ because, evidently, everyone hates him for being a great actor. Derp.
I can't say who was really better in this case. For some odd reason I was more focused on facial art lol, and Tommy Lee wins on this one, Aaron Eckhart looked like a sissy version with that make-up. They should of done a better job IMO. Although Jones WAS more lamer in actions. It's not the actors, it's the production and writers.
Aaron's Two Face. Seriously, the only reason I was slightly hyped for TDK wasn't because of Joker who I never liked until that point but it was Two Face. The Two Face in TDK was more like Two Face in the comics and animated cartoon. He did in about 12 minutes of Screen Time what Tommy Lee Jones failed to do in half of Batman Forever.
Easily Aaron. If Burton would have directed Batman Forever and Billy Dee Williams would have played Two-Face in it. It would have been more of a fight.
Very well done. I agree Aaron Eckhart's Two-Face was very well done. I had such high hopes for Two-Face in Batman Forever before it was released; and lost all faith in the Batman movies when I watched Tommy's Two-Face sitting on the couch in Wayne Manor flipping his coin continuously trying to get the "bad" side to come up. I almost walked out the theater when I saw that scene.
This isn't even a question. Aaron Eckhart was the best. Tommy Lee Jones' Two-Face was more like a Joker spin-off in many ways. Two-face is more dark & serious of a villain. Not saying Joker isn't serious as a villain.
I love these trailers. This one is well made but my only complaint is the appearance of Joker and the Riddler. It's better if we're just left with dueling-Dents.
Also, the part with Billy Dee Williams' Dent was pretty funny.
The problem with the old villians, is that they coudnt have enough of the jokers character.
Riddler
Two-face
Joker himself.
all funny/crazy/pschycotic villians.
the newer series characters are all unique and are induvinduel good. Even the Jokers character was a little more mixed up, than originaly should have been.
It keeps the storyline interesting, and it makes you want to see more villians, scarecroq, Joker, Two-face,ras al ghul,, i wonder what the next one is going to be like.
In my opinion, the Aaron Eckhart Two Face was the most properly done Two Face of all time. Shame they killed him off at the end of The Dark Knight as he really deserved his own movie.
@Sunningdalesurvivor they killed him because he didint go with the mood off the next movie. Batman is going to be hunted and two face wouldnt fit the story properly , bane is in the next one to hunt him , catwomen will be his love interest after rachel and we dont know anything else now. But , two face wouldnt have been good in the dark knight rises. But , two face deserves his own movie undoubtably.
Tommy's Two-Face is cartoonish, over-the-top, insane, and fun to watch. Aaron's Two-Face is serious, realistic, and intense. Both are catered to suit there respective movies, which differ vastly. There's really no point in comparing, just two great versions of an awesome villain.
@chucky1106 so much better i agree; that's why I hope they use him again in the next film but everyone seems so damn sure he snuffed it without even seeing a body at the memorial. i don't know. gordon lied to everyone before so i think they could fake his death.
idk i think jone's coudl have done a completely different and better character if he had better material and was in a better film. One thing for sure tho, is he looked great, just like the character. His makeup was badass, and so was his suit. Even his coin was badass. lol
Jones had fun with the role making him the second best part of Forever behind Jim Carrey and had good chemistry but Echearts betrayal had depth and wasn't just a role played for laughs. Also I find it funny how Dent changed from a blck guy to a white guy.
eckhart was way better, jones fucking sucked, his burns looked fake, his hair would of been gone, not purple, eckharts burns looked real and his hair was gone, plus eckhart was evil, jones was funny
@222jdogg It was 1995, the special effects weren't as good, plus the director wanted to go a different way. Jones played his part how he was told to play it. Personally, The Dark Knight and Batman Forever are my 2 favorite movies.
Maybe, as part of maintaining Dent's image so the case wouldn't be undermined (see TDK), they continually passed his identity onto a new individual. That'd be why Jones' Two-Face went after Eckhart's Dent. He was upset that he could be replaced so easily, so he caused the same thing to happen to that one. Maybe Eckhart will go after Williams?
I don't blames Jones for his Two-Face. I blame that on Schumacher. I think Tommy Lee Jones had it in him to be a really good Two-Face if the movie had a darker more serious tone.
The Tommy Lee Jones version of Two-Face was just a joke, like that entire movie. Jones himself is a fine actor, but he ain't exactly handsome-- He could have used his real face for the SCARRED side, rather than that pathetic purple make-up job.
@bmaclean13 they killed him because he didint go with the mood off the next movie.
@bmaclean13 In fact I hated the ending of DK because I think that Joker should die (maybe even killing himself so he can make Batman guilty) also because Heath is death and no actor can imitate him!!! while capture Two-Face to see more of him in the sequel.
@DeepEye1994 If Maroni can survive a fall onto a road from at least 5-6 stories high, then Two-Face can survive a fall onto dirt from 2-3 stories high. It makes perfect sense, think about it.
@DeepEye1994 He just answered in another interview when asked if he may return, he said, and I quote, "I could not possibly say, that would be committing career suicide." Hinting at a possible surprise return. If they want to keep it a surprise, u think they're gonna say he's coming back, but don't tell anyone because it's a surprise, but we'll tell u just because.
Batman vs Batman (bale vs Keaton) that would be interesting

@Sunningdalesurvivor they killed him because he didint go with the mood off the next movie. Batman is going to be hunted and two face wouldnt fit the story properly , bane is in the next one to hunt him , catwomen will be his love interest after rachel and we dont know anything else now. But , two face wouldnt have been good in the dark knight rises. But , two face deserves his own movie undoubtably.

@Sunningdalesurvivor
" the most properly done Two Face of all time" wtf!
Of the movies maybe....but of all time?
Even in the comics and cartoons?
No way.
Skeletonwitharaygun 7 months ago
@Skeletonwitharaygun OK I suppose there was The Long Halloween Comic.
Sunningdalesurvivor 7 months ago
@Sunningdalesurvivor
The book "Jekyll and Hyde" does Two-Face really well.
Shows him from the time he was little.Talks about "Big bad Harv"
Explores his duel personality.
Skeletonwitharaygun 7 months ago
@Sunningdalesurvivor Not really because they did not cover his left side!

Tommy's Two-Face is cartoonish, over-the-top, insane, and fun to watch. Aaron's Two-Face is serious, realistic, and intense. Both are catered to suit there respective movies, which differ vastly. There's really no point in comparing, just two great versions of an awesome villain.
minutemuse 1 year ago 3
God there is no comparing here aaron arkhart beats tommy by a mile
chucky1106 1 year ago
@chucky1106 so much better i agree; that's why I hope they use him again in the next film but everyone seems so damn sure he snuffed it without even seeing a body at the memorial. i don't know. gordon lied to everyone before so i think they could fake his death.
Regenmacher175 1 year ago
@Regenmacher175 sadly heath ledgers death affected it all the plan was to continue two face and joker over to batman 3
chucky1106 1 year ago
idk i think jone's coudl have done a completely different and better character if he had better material and was in a better film. One thing for sure tho, is he looked great, just like the character. His makeup was badass, and so was his suit. Even his coin was badass. lol

i wanted to see TIM BURTON'S VERSION OF TWO-FACE
DaSupermanOf1990 1 year ago 2
Jones had fun with the role making him the second best part of Forever behind Jim Carrey and had good chemistry but Echearts betrayal had depth and wasn't just a role played for laughs. Also I find it funny how Dent changed from a blck guy to a white guy.

way to throw in Billy Dee Williams! Awesome!

At 1:30, that's a nice touch adding Billy Dee Williams. Not many remember that he played Harvey Dent in the first Batman movie. ;)

This is definitely a Hollywood trimming type of trailer! My gosh!! Excellent stuff here! SL, ur one of the BEST out there!!

What about Clancy Brown on the Batman animated series as Two-Face?

Aaron Eckhart was scarier as Two-Face.

Jones by far. Eckhart looked like a Jason Voorhees zombie ripoff in my opinion.
retrofann1 1 year ago
@retrofann1, I've never noticed that b4, Eckhart's two face does have a resemblance to Camp Crystal Lake's favorite camper. *lol*
SidJustice1 1 year ago
@retrofann1
Well he's suppose to look like a burnt victim as they studied autopsies for the part on the make-up. Who is better as Joker? Nicholson or Ledger?
Johnlindsey289 1 year ago
@Johnlindsey289 Nicholson, in my opinion.

And do you think Dark Knight was a remake of 1989's Batman?

@Johnlindsey289 No, just a current update on the original story.

Even though TMJ's was meant to be more "cartoony" He still gave it real dark and sinister feel to it. o.O

I think of this as Tommy Lee Jones' "Revenge" against Aaron Eckhart and The Dark Knight. Very nice job ;)

TDK Two-Face was short-lived not much of a story, I liked the version from The Animated Series it was just great.
AbeVegaJr 1 year ago
@AbeVegaJr Yeah, Batman TAS's Two-Face is probably my favorite interpretation; Aaron Eckhart being a close 2nd.

eckhart was way better, jones fucking sucked, his burns looked fake, his hair would of been gone, not purple, eckharts burns looked real and his hair was gone, plus eckhart was evil, jones was funny
222jdogg 1 year ago
@222jdogg It was 1995, the special effects weren't as good, plus the director wanted to go a different way. Jones played his part how he was told to play it. Personally, The Dark Knight and Batman Forever are my 2 favorite movies.
Chopster292 5 months ago
Billy Dee Williams would've made a great Two-Face. Blair Underwood would've been good too.
LightStijn 1 year ago
@LightStijn I can't see him as a villain, Tommy Lee Jones is better at playing villains.

So there we technically THREE harvey dents in this Trailer??
Lozimia2 1 year ago
@Lozimia2
Maybe Eckhart will go after Williams?
stitch99 1 year ago
I don't blames Jones for his Two-Face. I blame that on Schumacher. I think Tommy Lee Jones had it in him to be a really good Two-Face if the movie had a darker more serious tone.
Nickman32 1 year ago
This was REALLY well edited and put together silverlightsaber. Great use of footage, as far as ordering, and music. :)
Plus love the brief Billy Dee Williams inclusion from "Batman." Always wished he could have had the chance to play Two Face.

This definitely should be a movie, at least a comic book.

Great trailer. Revealing three Harvey Dents [Bruce looking surprised was genius] and including Joker was compelling.

Just one word: EPICNESS
DCMarvel2009 1 year ago
The Tommy Lee Jones version of Two-Face was just a joke, like that entire movie. Jones himself is a fine actor, but he ain't exactly handsome-- He could have used his real face for the SCARRED side, rather than that pathetic purple make-up job.
GoblinXXX 1 year ago
@GoblinXXX Ouch =P He's looking pretty good for a guy over 60. I wouldn't be unhappy looking like that at that age

my opinion they should have left two-face for the sequel to the dark knight. the joker was enough for one movie.

Camthemovieman1 9 months ago
@bmaclean13 In fact I hated the ending of DK because I think that Joker should die (maybe even killing himself so he can make Batman guilty) also because Heath is death and no actor can imitate him!!! while capture Two-Face to see more of him in the sequel.
DeepEye1994 8 months ago
@DeepEye1994 If Maroni can survive a fall onto a road from at least 5-6 stories high, then Two-Face can survive a fall onto dirt from 2-3 stories high. It makes perfect sense, think about it.
Chopster292 5 months ago
@Chopster292 Two-Face is dead dude. The producers and Aaron Eckhart himself have declared it.
DeepEye1994 5 months ago
@DeepEye1994 He just answered in another interview when asked if he may return, he said, and I quote, "I could not possibly say, that would be committing career suicide." Hinting at a possible surprise return. If they want to keep it a surprise, u think they're gonna say he's coming back, but don't tell anyone because it's a surprise, but we'll tell u just because.
