He's still doing some gigs. Seems remote from audience, etc. Leaves shades on. Sounds good, tho. I think he's in a stage of being revived by music presently.
He's still ROCK"N !!! I saw him at Tarrant Co. Convention Center in the 70's & have seen him almost every time he's been in the Dallas area since & He's Still Tremendous !!! One of the ALL TIME GREAT'S !!!
I remember after the concert I came home with that box of records - Concert for Bangladesh. I put this on and that was the first time I'd heard it - blew me away.
It's a great mix with Youngblood sliding back to JJF at the end.
Damn, it's only a teaser, only part of the entire song. There's a whole call and answer part of the song where Leon sings a line then answers with his piano, and then he segues into the song "Youngblood," goes back to the call and answer, and then finally gets back to Jumpin' Jack Flash." The entire song is simply incredible.
@chicosvibe you can see the whole song on the 1971 bangledesh ... umm i forgoet what album.. george harrison i think was the one who organised the charity event..
hey i loaded it for a freind... lol it was from the bangledesh 71 concert. Personaly i never knew anyone else sang it other htan jaggar, until i heard leon sing it .. otherwise... opps my bad... for believing what i am told... lol
Can you imagine Leon sitting at the ol folks home and banging this out, gee I hope so won't be long until we are all there.lol

What a cool version of the song.
Just as good as Johnny Winter's rendition

This is the best version of Jumping Jack Flash. Love Leon Russell. Old School.

Try Mick Jagger & Keith Richards for the original writers. Damn.

Leon Russell wrote quite a few classics, but not this one. He sure plays it, though.
