just make sure your slightly creeping on the line then slip the clutch a tad don't pop it I prefer starting in 1st no matter what just have to have skills and practice maybe that's why i get the hole shot so often so many others must be starting in 2nd lol

in a 2 stroke always start in 1st the bike will have the bottom end power wat 2 strokes have a lot of and the bike will not get bogged but in sand or hard pack terrain such as concrete start in 2nd gear so u have less wheel spin and the rear wheel will have better drive
