  • If i could find opportunity , i want to upload next Idomeneo ,though very long

  • heard Elisabeth Grummer, Anja Harteros, Carol Vaness, Anna Netrebko in this aria, among others like Gruberova.

Pendatchanska's ranks among the best of the best in the whole lot.

  • A real opera star - vocally and dramatically supreme.

  • i still admire the most the rendition of Anna Netrebko, but Alexandrina Pendatchanska is my second best !

  • This is one of my favorite Mozart soprano arias, and I have never heard of this lady, but Oh my God what singing! Glorious!!!!!

  • wonderful! I love this type of voices, Dramatic coloratura sopranos are so great

  • this is amazing best version i had heard

  • This is the first fully convincing version of this demanding aria that I have come across in my 30+ years as an opera lover.

  • @Matt75003 try the one of carol vaness, you might also like it... i find it more mozartian than this one, however pendatchanska´s ir more dramatic, and more effortlees

  • magical jacobs

  • i have to agree with elias, this is truly marvelous, before this, mi favorite version was the ona of carol vaness, but the drama that pendatchanska puts in this is mindblowing, the control of the voice, the intensity, the ornamentation, all is magnificent. THIS IS HOW YOU PERFORM MOZART, BRAVA CARA DIVA!

  • I still cannot get over the fact that it is Rene Jacobs of all people who has managed to present us with The Right Way to do Mozart, especially as far as instrumental playing is concerned. The man is a genius... As for the singer, I still preffer Alexandra Deshorties in her Met performance (hint: check my channel). :)))

  • @lalagonegaga You have some great music on your channel, so I am going to subscribe, but Deshorties was not one of them. She has some serious pitch issues in this aria and is not staying on the vocal line through much of the aria. She does not hold a candle to this woman, but I am looking forward to checking out your other music. Thanks!

  • Wow! She's stunning. Amazing voice. I love her phrasing and the sense of urgency she communicates without being melodramatic. The orchestra sounds wonderful too.

  • I must say this is the best version of this aria I have heard, thanks Elias!

  • (How would you like bubbling that name into an SAT test?)

    - i don't think it'd fit on a standard form haha

  • ROFL!! Some kids have the hard part before the test starts :p
