It's strange how music can not only remind you of the moment you first heard it, but also makes you feel the feelings you'd had when you heard it again. Awesome anime, Amazing movie.
@OmegaGreenMarine it'll be a while whether we find out or not, if anytthing hppens it will be another series but to be honest if kyoto ani think they've done enough then at least they ended on a superbly high note, haruhi suzumiya went beyond what was expected in popularity when it came out so perhaps only 2 series and a film were ever planned, but i'm sure one day something else s good will come along nyaa:)
you cant help but imagine the pain yuki went through living the same 2 weeks 596 years straight, she tried to be a normal girl and wanted to have a chance with kyon but if you read the books you would know that after the movie events the alternate world still lives on and nagato is all on her own in the literary club room, a super shy bookworm
this scene was so awesome, the visuals, voice acting (i watched it in japanese), and the script tied up together with the music was just amazing, especially when Kyon pushes himself up from under himself, it was just spectacular!
It's almost been a month since I watched Disappearance. This movie was the first thing out of this entire series that I watched. It was good it prompted be to watch the entire Seasons One and Two in a matter of two~three days. This song is the most touching one out of the whole soundtrack. I love how the writers of the series made Nagato a breakthrough character. I only hope Season Three comes soon. I hope everyone is willing to let the whole scandal/Endless Eight aside.

kinda random but the human Yuki reminds me of a semi-non verbal high function autistic teen who cant express herself well has trouble socializing but at the same time is lonely and just wants a friend like Kyon for example and is so sad when he wants to run off to the other world. I feel sad for the lonely human Yuki. Id be her friend.
People are saying that Kyoto Animation screwed up badly over Endless Eight. Do you people even KNOW WHY they did that 8 episode arc intentionally? Who was the character that experienced it w/o a memory wipe? It was Nagato. Why did Disappearance happen? Because Nagato was basically "fed up." Endless Eight was Kyoto's way of showing you what she had to deal with on a daily basis as a member of the SOS Brigade. Disappearance is an example of how Nagato's seemingly undying patience has limitations.

Ohhh shit, I felt a Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya moment when submitting my application. I clicked "submit" and a screen popped up "Are you ready?" and I swear, in a split second, this whole scene played out in my head.

I don't care if people say I: over reacting, crazy, otaku (bad way), freak, or whatever else they can think of. But THIS MOVIE DEFINITLY CHANGED MY LIFE FOR THE BETTER! I LOVE ALL OF THESE CHARACTERS AS IF THEY WERE REAL PEOPLE! I am proud to have these feelings!

Damn, I was worried that Haruhi would never return in this movie. If she didn't it would kill me and I would cry for 40 minutes. But thank God she finely appeared, I was so happy. It was like the happiest moment in my life
@FlyingDonasaur Same here, thinking back, it's all Kyon´s fault. He was afraid of taking responsability. He got accustomed to the things he used to do, about not making decisions of his own and get carried away by Haruhi. What it pisses me off is that even knowing that Yuki gave away all she had and risking herself to be in trouble in order to be with him he abandons her. She needed someone to take care of her in the reconstructed world and what did she got? he turned his back on her grrr!.
@cronoschild When he left, that world stopped existing. That version of Yuki had overwritten the old version, so it was like he was restoring to the backup. That Yuki didn't end up neglected, because it's actually the same Yuki he came back to...
@einootspork Well, actually, it didn't stop existing until after the Snow Mountain Fiasco. A bit of a spoiler, but you remember how Kyon was almost assassinated? He stated at the end of the movie that he went back in the past and saved himself. He does go back into the past later, and that's what closed that other world. (Wow, sounds like FFX now...)
@cronoschild I think that he didn't really abandon her. What Kyon wants is for Yuki to become an individual. If he had let her stay this way it wasn't for her own benefit. It was for his. She had thought he wanted to lead a normal life and she gave it to him. But Kyon doesn't want to have a normal life if that means that all his friends from before are wiped clean. As much as he complains he loves everyone in the SOS brigade. And while he also loves this yuki, its not HIS yuki.
I actually haven't watched the movie yet, I just find it really really strange that this music suddenly made me cry while meditating. Then after that, surge of information on what should I do about my current problems surfaced, this is really amazing.

....I loved this scene.....and such a perfect piece of music too. I think all scenes about choices that a character has to make are always the best. :3 Because they show that the character isn't just a figure of someone's imagination, but a creation that has come to life. :3 Good work.
This is a simply amazing song. It fits well with the film, quite possibly the best film I've ever seen. I usually prefer Action-Adventure films, but this topped them all.
I think....Kyon made a great choice....the best or nothing.....but this choice's too painful to me.... i wish i could make friend with her.... that's impossible, right? But i feel better when i remind that she's not alone....
Oh my goodness.... I can't stop getting shivers down my spine over and over again when I hear this. It's like the scene is playing in my head all over again, and in the parts where there is no scene playing, I imagine what's going on... And it's just wow.... I have no other words to say for it... I'm lost. I know I've said this before, but still... Wow....
I kinda feel sad for the other Nagato - Lol, since she did this for the sake of Kyon, but near the end she protected him, from the crazy killer Asakura. an unexpected Twist in the plot line, but its good, thats why i love this kind of show.
@LeonLight13 Actually, that's not the alternate Nagato. If you notice, the Nagato that saved Kyon from Asakura has no glasses on, while the alternate Nagato had glasses. When the Kyon from the future saved the dying Kyon, it seemed that he brought Nagato and possibly Mikuru as well.....
@loneotaku It is. Just because it's the Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya doesn't mean she has to be the absolute main character. What I love about this series is that it focuses on a lot of characters not just Haruhi and Kyon ;)

IMO the decision kyon had to make was one of the saddest moments in a movie I've seen. Yuki struggled over thousands of years to be able to change the world for her normal life and love for kyon but in the end her fate was her death right after her birth without. This just isn't fair :-(
@MrCrazyphil360 That was me. Apparently I watched episode 0, the movie that the SOS Brigade made so I had no idea wtf was going on so I lost interest and dropped it. I later picked it up again but skipped that episode lol.

I actually haven't watched the movie yet, I just find it really really strange that this music suddenly made me cry while meditating. Then after that, surge of information on what should I do about my current problems surfaced, this is really amazing.

....I loved this scene.....and such a perfect piece of music too. I think all scenes about choices that a character has to make are always the best. :3 Because they show that the character isn't just a figure of someone's imagination, but a creation that has come to life. :3 Good work.

This is a simply amazing song. It fits well with the film, quite possibly the best film I've ever seen. I usually prefer Action-Adventure films, but this topped them all.

I kinda feel sad for the other Nagato - Lol, since she did this for the sake of Kyon, but near the end she protected him, from the crazy killer Asakura. an unexpected Twist in the plot line, but its good, thats why i love this kind of show.

@LeonLight13 Actually, that's not the alternate Nagato. If you notice, the Nagato that saved Kyon from Asakura has no glasses on, while the alternate Nagato had glasses. When the Kyon from the future saved the dying Kyon, it seemed that he brought Nagato and possibly Mikuru as well.....

@loneotaku It is. Just because it's the Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya doesn't mean she has to be the absolute main character. What I love about this series is that it focuses on a lot of characters not just Haruhi and Kyon ;)

IMO the decision kyon had to make was one of the saddest moments in a movie I've seen. Yuki struggled over thousands of years to be able to change the world for her normal life and love for kyon but in the end her fate was her death right after her birth without. This just isn't fair :-(

@MrCrazyphil360 That was me. Apparently I watched episode 0, the movie that the SOS Brigade made so I had no idea wtf was going on so I lost interest and dropped it. I later picked it up again but skipped that episode lol.
