Back then, Pallys were alright to tank. Now a days if you are spec'd right, then tanking should be a breeze most of the time for you. :D I'm a lvl 74 ret pally, and I do alright against almost,notice almost, anything. :P

I roll a Paladin, lvl 70... Retri... (3.2).. I heal, dps and tank....Retri = Ez-mode.. 1200-1400 average Dps, wo. money-buffs.. As healer 800-900 +SpellPower, and 1000+ Mp5, 9-10k mana... Tank = Hardest, 10k Hp, NO agroloss...lol... Only lack, is the insane +block as Prot.. All u need, is ask to loot for some Heal gear, and get a decent shield.. As long as (some) of the other toons know what they are doing.. Retri = Ez-mode for sure :) It's my main.. No BoA, not pricey enchants or AH equip..

I pop Righteous Fury, Concescration, and use Exorcism, Avenger's shield, and hammer of the righteous, that basically secures all agro. If you somehow lose agro, pop righteous defence, or hand of reckoning, and you should be set.

If the tank is given sufficient time to establish aggro there is no problem with Paladin tanking. (Ie. Dps holds off until the tank has at least attacked the mob(s)) In my own opinion, Paladins can tank just as well as warriors and druids, if played properly.

I tank pretty well on my druid... but i will say ive been out tanked by both palys and warriors. I can heal better than any preiest, but when it comes to tanking: Druids can do it but just at borderline moderate. -source 70 nf druid area 52

I love tanking on my pally, people who reckon warriors tank single targets better fail. It depends on the fight for which tank is best, if its a fast hitting undead boss then no warrior could even get close to a pallys ability to tank it, and for other certain types of fight warriors are better or druids are better. People really need to stop shouting about shit they dont get.

Actually, depending on the type of mob, Paladins can tank better, due to having more abilities available. An Undead/Demon mob, for example, we have two extra spells we can use, and at the level 70-80 bracket, the spells are hitting 1000+. While with a Warrior, it'd just be sunders and whatever else a Warrior does. For any Humanoid, Mechanical, etc, mobs, I would rather have a Druid/Warrior tank, but it does depend on the fight to declare who the better tanks is.

yeah for sure, pallys can def tank. i have 70 prot warrior (nyctric - Proudmoore) and 45 protadin (yes i know its not 70) . i love tanking on my pally. multi tanking on pally is easy. then again, tanking itself is easy, it isn't no walk in the park but it is easy ... if dps follow a killing order. warrior tank have to switch target a lot more. on my pally, i very minimum switch target to maintain aggro, so for stress-sake, i'd take the pally for tanking.

Tankadins are perfect for AoE tanking and they are better than warriors & druids at tanking fast-hitting-bosses. Also they can generate high amount of threat while tanking undeads and demons. However they have problem at tanking bosses that cause silence & mana burn.

Yes he is a troll. But still, from 1-60, you paladins could tank. You should know this, because paladins and alliance v horde had some good fights during the Blackrock Spire capping back in the old days :)

garraofthefunk123 yes they actually own in pvp in some cases. a holy pvp build paladin with spell dmg is awsome dmg! check out some shockadins and you will see, a prot paladin is hard in pvp but also retri can be good if used right and got the right gear build. It shows clearly that you havent watched any pvp vids for paladins..try research before you comment things you dont know anyhting about. go reinstall you'r wow, that would be a favour for you and the rest of us nab-.-

the video showed a point. and its a point that has already been proven. a pally can easily hold aggro against multiple enemies. and pallys are the best tanks for 5 mans. yet that area with the bombs where you ran and gathered them all i can do on my druid easily. yea my party had to assist off me but why wouldnt that anyways?

You are so so so right!. Ive never lost a battle against a rogue or warr and I really mean never!. Feral get their ass beaten also :).. Love when Rogues jump me, certain death for them!. The more they hit the faster they die!. But against ranged attacks we have no chance :(

once a warrior, rogue, mage, another warrior, a ret paladin and a feral druid attacked me

i was healed by a holy/disci priest

i killed all 6 of them, well maybe they were a bunch of noobs, but it was 2 vs 6

on bg that gives us a great advantage, because the enemy number is reduced by 4

and if they are only noobs, i can kill them if they are 3 against me, and thats the only thing that makes horde stong, they are so much and always go 2-3 on 1

Same with Allies VS Horde, just depend on if you're walking ALONE or with your group, if you're walking alone and there's 3 enemy's spotting you dont think they will ignore you or go 1 on 1... that's just not tactical.
