  • so you like the shoulder cannon huh???? the first time i shot my m44 though i had a RPG on my shoulder...remember windex for cleaning...

  • At :40 was plastic gun guy crying? Then notice how after he leaves the range officer gives the 15min warning. I smell black rifle snobbery. The M-16 is a perfectly serviceable weapon.....when you have a squad of armorers to help maintain it. And lots of spare parts. Will you have those resources if the SHTF?

  • GOD DAMN I CANNOT GET ENOUGH OF THAT BOOOOOM

  • Yep, sounds just like mine. Turns heads when ever you shoot at the range.

  • Indoor ranges look so boring.....

  • @mrazyattic

Yeah, I agree. I've gone once and it's annoying. I'd rather shoot bottles and targets outside rather than a floating paper target. Plus you have tons of shells everywhere, no one ever pics up after themselves and it's hard to concentrate.

  • Hey so is this a rifle or a 105 mm artillery canon shoulder fired.

  • The other guy was probably thinking "Holy shit! What was that?"

  • When Chuck Norris farts, this is what it sounds like.

  • YES! So much win....

  • i swear i wont shoot this fuck any more it sounds like a cannon damn when i first fired that shit it surpised a whole bunch of people around me the backblow almost broke my arm

  • What sort of grouping do you get from an M44?

  • @goofysurfer03 Depends on the shooter buddy :)

  • HO HO HO Look at zie little girrly man shooting his fancy pretty AR-15! Here, I will show you the true power of a man's gun!

  • pretty much the most powerful gun on the range at the time

  • are you using brown bear ammo?

  • This video makes me wish i had not bought my 91/30 last weekend and saved for one of these :<

  • Love mine.

  • Uh oh, someone says "clip" @ :55

  • FUCKING EPIC!!!!! I have a 91/30 and that 7.62x54 just obliterates. God that sounded awesome.

  • Just love the ignorant conversation going on to the right of the camera

  • That was AWESOME

  • Nothing says "go F yourself" like a Mosin Nagant

  • 7 people dont like tanks

  • Gotta love it!!!!

  • AHHHHH

  • Many times when I'd go to the range just to have some fun renting a different gun, there would be a gun somewhere that was silent then goes off for the first time while I'm there and startles me something crazy. Heh, now that I own a Mosin I can safely say that I'm that guy with the small cannon. Love it though, lots of fun to shoot.

  • i love it how the Nagant silences the entire range when its fired, kinda reminds me of when some guy brought down a .44 magnum to our local range,it was so loud it drowned out my CZ75.some guns (like this beautiful piece from Soviet Russia) deserve the title Range-Silencer

  • the daddy of the modern rifle says "HUSH"

  • The 91/30's have the best recoil..not too hard, not to soft. No need for a towel my man!

  • The AR15 in .223 is for queers. So are the 9mm pistols.

7.62mm and .45ACP are the best.

  • BAM ....ppppoof...BAM pooof.....BAM....poof love the Mosin

  • .30 caliber rounds. What any standard infantry should always use in their rifles to kill the shit out of the enemy in style.

  • AR-15: hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey

    Mosin Nagant: WHAT ?!?!?!

    AR-15: 'silence'

  • @TristanGoins lol

  • AR-15: hey, hey, hey, hey

    MN: SHUT UP !

    AR-15: silence

  • the Mosin silencing the lesser guns

  • isn't an AR-15 supposed to be what the M4 was designated as during Vietnam?

  • i fucking love the sound and kick of the mosin. Best cheap gun you can find. The ar15 sounds like a little bb gun compared to the mosin.

  • @MRcalibrecincuenta the ar-15 IS a bb gun compared to the mosin nagant!

  • Why do you have your bayonet extended?

  • @jamesjamesjr M44's were sighted in with them extended, when not extended the round will most likely go to to the right or left.

  • also why did you leave the bayonet on it makes it less accurate

  • @JimBoopLoop True for most rifles, but the MN is not a free float barrel config (2 metal rings holding the stock to the barrel/receiver), plus the sling attachment is welded on to it. These were originally sighted in with the bayonet on and extended, so removing it will actually affect your POI negatively, and redoing the irons on it can be a PITA. (Learned the hardway putting my buddy's M44 in a ATI Monte Carlo stock)

  • @JimBoopLoop You have it backwards, the rifle was always initially sighted in with the bayonet extended. It actually has a different point of aim with it collapsed because of the change in barrel harmonics so I wouldn't say "Less Accurate" as much as out of adjustment.

  • this gun kicked my ass... it was the loudest in the range

  • I like the pause of the AR-15 after you take your first shot.

  • @Thompsolonian lol, me too! All of a sudden the AR15 guy was probably like "what was that!?!" lol

  • i have 5 mosin nagant love those gun. I have a mosin illness

  • I laughed at the beginning when a guy was going crazy with his AR-15 and then you shot one (really loud) round to silence him out.

  • I got my M44 for about $112. The only thing wrong with it are a few little scuffs on the wood finish. Fires great, solid peice.

  • It's so fun to shoot and loud

  • i have an m44 payed for.... im waiting on the background check to come back clear.... i want to shoot RIGHT NOW.... :(

  • @sirtophamhatsaccount, what arsernal and year M44? like wise how much you give? Im still looking to add a M-44 to my collection but every time I find one its close to $500 for a worn out piece of junk that is more adapt to being a collectible wall hanger over a historical shooter like I collect.

  • @Milner62 - I got lucky I guess, I found my M-44 after 1 day of looking in 9 different pawn shops. $129 and reduced to $119 because I know the lady. Beautiful rifling, very accurate, and in good shape. Look around my friend they are out their waiting to be discovered and saved.

  • we own one and I don't know what's scarier , the length of the bayonet or the size of the cartridge.

  • piff,..piff...piff..piffBLAAAAAAM!!!...piff...piff...BLAAAAAM...piff...BLAAAAM..BLAMMMM!!!

  • shooting with the baio rofl

  • @comissairevanloc He's shooting with the bayonet attached because Mosin Nagants were factory-sighted with the bayonet attached. If you shoot without the bayonet, your shot will hit off-center from where you aim. The M38 doesn't have this "problem", as it was never meant to use a bayonet.

  • Haha. When i first got my Mosin, i think I was 15... I went out to the range with my dad. First shot went.... *breathe in, out, in, ou- BLAM!....... "FUUUCCKKK!' I love my Mosin though. lol

  • sound like a cap gun vs thunder

  • pop, pop, pop, pop BOOOM!!!! it makes the AR15 next to you sound like a .22,i own a mosin m44 (soviet original) and its a wonderful rifle,im so glad i got mine when i did,as the prices are rising.and they are becoming scarcer by the day.

  • Epic Win!

  • AK : you can hit the broadside of a wall from inside. AR: you can hit the broadside of a wall at 60m Mosin: you can side of a barn 2 counties away.

  • pkew pkew pkew, BOOOOOOOOOOOOM.....pkew pkew pkew BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

  • I can't decide between m38, m44 or 91/30. Any suggestions? Oh and I 13 and I Love mosins.

    Mosin>Mauser

  • @MrFlashbang12 The M44 and M38 are going to have more felt recoil than the 91/30 and the 91/30 is going to be more accurate than the M38 or the M44. The, only difference is that the M38 lacks a bayonet, which is stupid in my opinion, as a military rifle isn't a military rifle without a bayonet... When your debating over a 91/30 and a M44, the main three differences is going to be, length, accuracy, and felt recoil. I would go with a 91/30 myself, but it doesn't matter you will get a M44 later :D

  • @snakeguru117 Your last line is so true. I bought an M44 first, now I have 3 91/30's too!

  • I know this thing has some kick but why is he using a towel on his shoulder? What a girl. I got a bruise from mine and couldn't stop showing it off. When the non-business end of a rifle inflicts injury you know you got a man's gun.

  • @redbaron011 If you were up against 10 guys with ARs would you still be using a Mosin Nagant against them? I'll bet you would choose something with a bit more firepower at it's disposal. Just sayin,...

  • @Redbaron011 i'll agree with you and risk being flamed by one of them gas rifles. i have a M38, an M44 and an original 91/30. All in prime condition. The M38 is an everyday shooter, if you can believe that. I'm able to shoot a gong at 380 yards consistently with the M38 and iron sights. Standing.

  • bang, bang, bang, EPIC BOOM!, bang, bang........

  • the guy next to you went quiet when you fired lol, im looking for a m44 soon, paying good money for best condition all around

  • In Soviet Russia you don't play with rifles, Rifles plays with you

  • pew pew pew. TANK. pew pew TANK. TANK. pew pew pew pew TANK

  • -- I love my M44!

  • the NORTH AMERICAN treaty organization did not use 7.62x54

  • Sounds like Thunder, the shorter barrelled ones always have that unique sound.

  • I had never owned guns before in my life and now I own a Mosin-Nagant and a AK 47! I think its a good combo pack.

  • Steel butt plate owns you!!!!!!!

  • i shot my first mosin nagant m44 the othe day i was not expecting the recoil, my only other rifle experience was shooting m-16s, i think the sights suck but the rifle is awesome. I made the mistake of forgetting to put my ear plugs back in when my cousin fired, boy its pretty loud. lol

  • HAHAHAHAH The Mosin-Nagant makes that AR-15 sound like a fucking pea-shooter. Haha! I love it! Keep it up comrade, Mother Russia!

  • They are loud!!! Try fireing them with NATO rounds if ya can get them. LOL 3 times as loud and twice the kick. I weighed 350'lbs first time I shot mine and it damned near knocked me over. LOL"Leeeeannnn into it".50 rounds equaled black and numb shoulder

  • @RisenDevilz Nato doesnt make or endorse 7.62x54 asshat.

  • @TEHLEGITGUY they used to fuxtik!

  • @TEHLEGITGUY I've owned my gun for a veryyyyy lonnng time.

  • @TEHLEGITGUY they did. they don't anymore. thats why I said if you can get them. I've had my gun for a very long time.

  • Have one with all serial numbers matching that was un-issued. I love this gun! It is the most accurate riffle I have ever shot. No doubt 300 yards playing card shot. No problem.

  • in soviet russia gun fires you.

  • steel butpad NICE.

  • Damn that thing sounds like a freakin howitzer

  • I'm going to have to take my M44 out and buck off a round or two!!

  • So, did you go to the Chiropractor afterward?

  • Sounds like a massive explosion! LOL!

  • In Soviet Russia, Guns fire YOU

  • leave it to the russians

  • I love the M44. I actually enjoy the feeling of a bruised shoulder after putting 30 rounds through that thing :D

  • @wowrazzor lol @ 30 rounds. Wait until you shoot it enough that 100 doesn't bother you.

  • @LtBullitt351

I guess that I'll never reach that point considering that I'm rather a small framed person. ;>

  • BANG

  • i bought a rubber butt pad for my m44 and it makes shooting it a dream and its not a permenant alteration.

  • @rmf86 Move to Minnesota. They let you hunt deer with 'em. Nazi Zombie Deer, that is.

  • it is an ar 15 but it has a 22 conversion kit on it that is why it sound so weak

  • I have the same gun and I LOVE IT.

  • Each time at the range I notice someone will have a rifle that is SO loud I jump the first time I hear it when not paying attention. I now own a Mosin '33 Hex...now I'm that guy shooting the loud gun! Love the video, the Mosin sounds like a BEAST. Just imagine what Nazies were thinking about 70 years ago when they heard thousands of these being shot at them...

  • your wrong, the nazies were the ones shooting them at US forces.

  • @cdkennedy1207 Okay, no offense but I'm well versed on the Mosin Nagant. The German bolt action rifle was the Karabiner 98k. The Mosin Nagant was created by Captain Sergei Mosin and Leon Nagant for Russia in 1891. Really, if you owned one you'd know - they are stamped with the Soviet Hammer and Sickle and have Cryllic writing stamped on them. The Russians fought the Germans on the Eastern front (and caused the largest casualties to Germany) with this very rifle.

  • @cdkennedy1207 dont call someone wrong if you dont know anything about the subject they're talking about.

  • @Shintsu2 Just imagine what the Russians thought when the Finns were using Mosins against THEM.....nice cannons.

  • you need a muzzle brake and rubber butt pad, a towel is gay. man up or get those accessories. the mosin is cooler with a muzzle bake anyways. Made my 91/30 feel like a.22 but sound like a .50 BMG!

  • ya the AR-15 sounds like a cracker jack toy and of course the mosin sounds like a BA gun i just recently bought one but did not have a chance to shoot it yet i also have an AR-15 but i am selling it i dont like the style of the gun

  • just remember, you paid $500+ less, and can shoot 3-4 times further, and more accurately.....not to mention stab him from twice the distance.

  • i got mine from big five about a year ago and i haven't even fired it . im scared it might blow up they say that they are unferbished the bolt it tight lot to loose what do you think

  • goto 7.62x54r.net. Lastly, spend $25 and have a gunsmith check it out.

  • i recommend for you get a shotgun decelerator for m44. it'll probably feel nicer than that towel

  • i love the sound difference between the ar-15 and the m44, bam bam bam BOOM!

  • can anywon help me find one of these decently priced? it would make a nice addition to my collection.

  • LOL bayonet on?

  • @prettyvacant2007

The M44 bayonet extended or folded affects the POI.

If folded, it will shift POI to the side, if its deployed, it will often shift the POI back to the center so that you as the shooter won't have bullet strikes a few inches off the side of POA.

This pertains to the M44, not every rifle. Never said, EVERY DAMNED RIFLE WILL SHOOT BETTER WITH THE BAYO ATTACHED

M44 hitting inches to the side, then putting the bayo out & hitting center = increased M44 accuracy

    CALM. DOWN.BREATHE.

  • @MHbushmaster agreed. and also... prettyvacant... the bayonet on the m44 is made with the bayonet. the bayonet folds out on the m44. mt grandpap brought one back from 'Nam as a war trophy.

  • @prettyvacant2007

Son, you need to learn. Start with "Barrel harmonics".

The bayonet is attached to the barrel on the M44 & extends out past the muzzle. Now when the bullet leaves the muzzle the expelled gases travel out & away from the muzzle, when they reach an obstruction they often cause a disturbance in the wake of the bullet changing the POI. The M44 barrel having the lug locking socket attached to the muzzle effects the sim wave of the barrel while the bullet is still in the barrel.

  • @prettyvacant2007

You have an appropriate screen name for how you act.

Reading and knowing history is fundamental to understanding mil surp rifles.

Prettyvacant is pretty vacant. LOL. Vacant of substance in between his q-tip holes.

  • @prettyvacant2007 The guns always had the bayonet out. They were only retracted while not in use or when the soldier was in a vehicle.

  • @prettyvacant2007 like 2 miles :O

  • The Mosin's sound is epic.

  • I got 2 of these, bought at gunshow in PA in the 90's. Brand new in original cosmo - never issued! The 7.62x54R round uses a very slow powder since it is designed for the long barrel sniper rifle. When fired from short barrel carbine creates awesome muzzle blast - makes fun to shoot. They are quite accurate too.

  • To the extent they were sighted, it was most likely with bayonet extended. But with any USSR Mosin (as opposed to Finns) it's safe to assume they were never sighted properly at all. Just start fresh with a brass punch and kroil and adjust windage as needed for your best shooting load. Bayonet out or in at your option.

  • put the bayonet away

  • he has to have it on or it will stab him

  • The M44 is calibrated for the bayonet to be extended in order for the POI (point of impact) to correlate to the POA (point of aim).

In other words, if the bayonet were not extended, the bullets would be striking about 4" to the left at 100 meters, 2" left at 50 meters, and 1" left at 25 meters, etc.

  • @MHbushmaster THIS IS INCORRECT. THEY ARE NOT SITED ACCORDING TO THE MANUFACTURER WITH THE BAYONET EXTENDED. YOUR WRONG AND RETARDED. PLEASE MOVE OUT OF YOUR MOMS BASEMENTS.

  • @smachnick So I'm wrong, lol, no boy, you are incorrect. The M44, per Soviet policy during WWII was for a bayonet to be extended during the entire duration that it was at the front.

I have a lovely wife and two kids, it sounds like you need to bone up on your C&R info as well as get a fucking life.

I am correct, check any reputable C&R forum.

I've been collecting C&R rifles for many years now and if I don't know something I readily admit it: you are a misinformed douche bag

  • @smachnick Sorry, can't do it. M44's were sighted in their respective arsenals WITH THE BAYONET IN.

    :D

  • @purpleravenstar ONCE AGAIN YOUR WRONG. THEY WERE NOT SITED WITH BAYONETS INPLACE.

  • @smachnick The guns were sighted with the bayonet extended. You take it off and it changes the barrel harmonics and throws the shot off.

  • I've had this video on my favorites for awhile...such a great rifle...

  • epic sound

  • i love mine when i'm at the range people start to leave it makes a great pest control gun too ':)

  • Great sound on this video.

If you'd like to see a Mosin Nagant 91/30 vs a CRT Monitor + Cinder block + Toaster head to my channel.

  • I shot a 91/30 and a m38 a few times, is the recoil m44 the same as the m38?

  • No, M44 has a little more recoil.

  • lighter gun= heavier perceived recoil. the m44 and m38 have the same barrel length, so that's negligible. my m38 is also lighter because of the wood the stock is made off. the m44 has a bayonet which adds a little weight; so for me the m38 recoils a tad more than my m44. when doing comparisons, use same type of ammo- Your results may vary-

  • Haha, I love this rifle. It's awesome how stunned the other people at the range are when they hear it for the first time. :D

  • God that sound is amazing. I love the M44! Was shooting mine at a range and people from other stalls started coming over and seeing what in the hell was going on, it was awesome. Take the towel off your shoulder and experience the true majesty of these rifles! If you don't have a bruise you're not doing it right :D

  • What's the grain count on these rounds?

  • a lot lol

  • Standard is 147 grain, heavy ball is 182 grain. There is also some lighter training surplus out there.

  • That's the sound of the Hammer and Sickle right there. LOL!!!

  • HAHAHA this video makes me laugh very weirdly every time i hear the boom! and i like it!

  • @UrbanTiger74 Click clack that's the sound of history!

  • @UrbanTiger74 Its mother russia! Damn that thing is a beast. Cant wait to get one, but cant have it until my 91/30 sniper reproduction project is done. Two thumbs up!

  • I'm suprised how cheap these things go for. I got one for about $140 my 10/22 was over $200.

  • I sure love my M44. God damn is it loud though!

  • Yes it is.

  • you do know that your m44 holds five rounds right

  • if a 30-.06 is a bigger bullet than wouldnt it be louder?

  • and how he keeps putting it back in place lest it fall

  • this vid was awesome up until i noticed the shoulder towlie

  • loud as hell compared to that .223 round

  • lol BS doesnt kick bad

  • what a fairy!! my M44 doesnt kick me hard, been deer hunting with it for years (with the bayonet removed of course) makes the biggest BOOM in the woods everyone says :)

  • lol im 12 i just shot it 2 weeks ago

  • thats an awsome boom

I love shooting that puppy indoors!

  • pikw ikw pikw BOOOOOMMMMMMM pikw pikw pikw pikw pikw BOOOOMMMM

  • @lamage89 ROFL!!! i was just going to put the same thing until i saw yours. i was thinking the same thing.

  • I have an M38, and it's a beast of a rifle. My shoulder was sore for two damn days. An old Marine was next to me and he wouldn't even come near my rifle, it was pretty funny. Would hate to get shot by one of these monsters, lol.

  • I am excited I get my first Mosin Nagant tomorrow!

  • WOW,Sounds like a BOMB!!

  • nice vid....

i love the BOOM that the M44,M38, M39, 91/59, etc. have.

    Love my Romanian M44.

RimChester boys usualy get a kick out of the fact that we can hit a target at 325yds w/o a scope w/a 76 yr old rifle.

  • i was at the range shooting my mosin 91/30 and this other guy with a 700 rem mag sounded alot louder

  • The recoil of the Mosin is used to relocate shoulders thrown out of joint by previous shots.

    lol. Team Mosin!

  • lolz.

When out of ammo, your rifle makes a supreme war club, pike, boat oar, tent pole, or firewood.

  • Nice gun check mine out.
