  • this video really helped thanks lol

  • THIS IS A COPY

  • MY NITRO IS STALLING WEN I PUT THE BRAK ON AND BRAKS DONT SEEM TO WORK WEN AT SPEED HOW COME

  • @tigger00025 Adjust your idle screw on the side of the carb.

  • @tigger00025 search for AliShanMao. hes a expert

  • @tigger00025 because it's not working right.

  • i just bought a nitro rc and i found thios video very informative and helpful.

    thanks.

  • long engine life huh

  • Will this work with any Gas rc car?

  • im a newbie and have a 1/8 truck when i start it it goes really fast to fast for idle i think like full speed, this is out of the box! should i richenn the low speed or should i adjust the idle?

  • @Colombiandaniel yea dude its ruined

  • im having problems because when i start mine, it starts rolling and ive tried ajusting everything, does anyone know how to fix this problem?

  • Does it rev up quite high.? It may be the Idle screw set too high.. Not the high or Low speed.. but the Idle screw set set too high.. Look in the carb and set the gap at 1mm

  • it does rev but even when the idle is right down to low the engine just cuts out, and as soon as i put it on the floor it cuts aout, and as soon as i touch the break it cuts out aswell, and when im holding it in the air i cant stop the wheel from turning.

  • well there are two things i can say, your idle might be too high or low end may be too lean were if engine dont get too much gas. then engine will have more air and with more air then gas car will end up rolling off at high rpm.

to test and see if you have a idle or low end problum. frist start your car and turn off engine by gas line it shound take 3 to 4 sec if longer your rich. if your engine gos off fast without 4 sec of time then you are lean.

  • let me know if what im saying helps.

  • @SNCVKINGZ1 have you tried adjusting the throttle trim on your transmitter?

  • @SNCVKINGZ1 heat up the engine first

  • @SNCVKINGZ1 grab it

  • i like to run my engine rich becouse it is my first nitro rc car

  • thanks so much i just got my first car today and i went nitro and had no clue how to tune it and this helped so much

  • GREAT TRAINING VIDEO

  • awesome video for newbies

  • here is my question i have an xtm truggy that has a pt .28 engine and i can't get it to start after i tryed to tune it when it was running a bit lean.

  • I've got the same problem!!! I managed to fix it, but after trying yet again, to achieve not crap performance....IT DIED...back to step one i suppose.

  • true that but i traded it for a team losi aftershock now thats losing power i pull a roto start box on the motor so i can use that instead because the string broke on it. so now all i gotta do is get a drill to start it.

  • my main problem is: While i am driving my car it sounds like it is going fast when i apply a little throttle but the downside is that it is not goin very fast and i cannot seem to figure out what the problem is. which valve do i have to adjust?

  • tighten your slipper nut

  • what would i need to adjust if it cuts out when i jam the breaks on

  • idle, or low speed

open low speed counter clockwise a little, untill it doesnt stall, but also without the clutch engaging

  • sweet thanks goes good now

  • awsome :D

  • the way i rember how to tune is the leaner the meaner and kill the engine the richer the safer and kill the glow plug

  • this video realy helped

  • is there any chance that i can find an exhaust that'll change my rc car's sound?like on real cars?:) thnx..

  • mine has trouble accelarating but it has a lot of smoke

  • Lean it an hour on top. If the car has plenty of top speed then maybe try one hour on bottom

  • kahanex- Your car is way to rich than. Like this guy in the video is saying turn in clockwise and there will be less smoke and better acceleration. What type of car do you have?

  • give it some more lean

  • hi just thought id help some people, i always tune the low end needle first and i use the pinch test,

basically if i was to pinch the needle and the car would die straight away i would know the low end would be LEAN, if it died after 5-6 seconds then it would be too RICH, if it died about 2-3 seconds then its right,

the high end is simple when the engine gets too its to the high reps it should run fine with smoke smoke but if it starts to stall its too lean. if rich then poor performance. :)

  • Awsome. Hpi make it so easy, lol!!

  • cool cool

  • hey does this tuning can go to an rc buggy 1/10 thanks this is the easiet way ive found on youtube

  • well im not the owner of the vid but yes i have tuned my friends buggy

  • you suck

  • i have a nitro excellerater. is it the same to tune as the savage ?

  • yes but this is just an example just for the savage. mostly

  • yes it is

  • this really helps !!!

  • oh ok well umm im selling my truck now so i can get a smaller one so i don't mess it up to much on dirt lol

  • ok i got a question on the tuning how many turns to the right to lean it for the maximum performence and the low speed needle to lean also how many turns to the right to lean that the idle is good thanks and check out my video i need your help as best as you can so i can get the maximum performce out of my 3.3 thanks
