Just watched the Jack the Ripper documtary parts 1-5 and they now think it was a Jewish nutter called Kosminski, interestingly he was sent to a lunatic asylum at the exact same the time that the murders stopped. My money is on Kosminski, so is the FBI's serial profile department and Scotland Yard.
i think theres a better chance this this guy with the last name kelly did it, cant remember his first name.. he came to london just before the ripper murders start, then goes back to New york alittle after the last murder, and 2 months after he arrives in new york, theres a murder very similar to jack the ripper.. he traveled alot in the US and everywhere he went, there seemed to be Ripper like murders. his face matched the drawing of the ripper too.

This suggests the police had at least an idea of the culprit and was being watched or under control. Still, there is not outstanding evidence a firm identity was during the period. Based on the limited information, it is fairly reasonable conclude it was someone residing in the E. End from among them; not a fantastic/noble character that doesn't fit.

GuildfordGhost is correct about Millers Court being the building opposite the multi-storey - the buildings were obviously since redeveloped and now known as the London Fruit & Wool Exhange. I believe the approximate entrance to Millers Court is roughly a third of the way from the Commercial Street end. The building is now a block of office suites and I used to work in one of them a few years back!
Buck's Row did not become Durward Street until 1894. Also many peopel including myself have come to beleive that JtR murdered Martha Tabram on August 6, 1888

All that remains of Miller's Court is the curb stones leading into the doorway. I carried Philip Sugdon's "Complete History of Jack the Ripper".
No tarpaulin at Buck's Row; Charles Cross initially mistook Nichols' body for one. It became Durward Street in 1891. Chapman was found at 6am, not 5:30am. The murder site is now an indoor car park, not a showroom. Today's Mulberry Street is not where Pizer was; that street was a different one and no longer exists. It wasn't called Zion/Sion Square in 1888 either...
Liz Stride died in Berner Street, not Fairclough Street. Eddowes is pronounced EDD-OH-Z, not EE-DAO-Z. She was released at 1am, not midnight. The murder site is not a school - one is nearby. You have the wrong doorway in Goulston Street - it was the next one down to the right. The killer got the name Jack the Ripper BEFORE the 30th September, not after.
No proof Mary Kelly was Irish. Miller's Court was off Dorset Street, not Crispin Street. It lay under the buildings on the left, NOT White's Row car park. Sorry to be so critical - the filming and presentation are fine... you just might want to redo your script!

I similarly used the same source for all the times, dates, facts etc. Clearly I got some of it wrong. Thanks so much for a calm response! Some people would have gone ballistic - yes, you can only report as well as a book tells you. Sadly, a lot of the books are chock-full of mistakes. Very few are reliable (and that goes for my fellow guides as well as fellow authors). It is truly a good piece, showing the relevant spots in a short period and well put together... not your fault your info was wrong.
