My doctor said that I'm slightly hyperthyroidism, but she said that I'm perfectly fine and that that is not the reason for my chronic fatigue or hypertension. My symptoms are fatigue, accelerated heart rate, low libido, hypertension, and intolerance to the cold. I don't think that I have an intolerance to heat, as I LOVE to take long HOT showers.
i was recently diagnosed with this, and ive got a question. ive got moderate acne, but i eat healthy, drink a lot of water and im not overweight, so i have to believe that its due to my hyperthyroidism.
does anyone know effective acne treatments for acne specifically caused by hyperthyroidism?
i think i have...im not entirely sure, but i have most of the symptoms.
I havnt went to the doctors yet though cause i wanna wait til im a little more sure, even though that might not be the smartest idea.....but i also dont wannah freak my mom out and then it just end up being nothing.
Don't put it off.. it may get worse if you put it off. I understand how you don't want to freak your mom out, cause I've felt the same way too. But the sooner you do something about it, the better. Sometimes it's better safe than sorry.
@Rachelala11 :) i went to the doctor 2 weeks ago,, turns out it was just iron deficiency anemia,, they said hyperthyroid and anemia have alot of the same symptoms. :)
Also try adding some more fat intake to your diet to help counter weight loss due to higher metabolism until you can see a doctor for treatment. I'm not a doctor but having alot of these problems myself. There is long lines to be seen, the sooner the better. Still waiting for my appointment. Will be praying for you.
Set an appointment with an Endocrinologist or a thyroidologists for treatment or finding cause of your symptoms. Ask your doctor about beta blockers or anti thyroid meds for hyperthyroid problems.

My daughter has recently been diagnosed with Graves. We're all trying to work our way through it. But she's decided to try and build awareness of the disease by making a bike ride for charity (Graves' Disease Foundation) from Alaska to San Francisco. Check it out and follow her progress: greaterthangraves. com
@DwyaneWadeCounty Yes and no. I have it so I'm qualified to answer. You see it affects brain chemicals and also prevents proper sleep. So in most cases the disease causes depression and induces adhd like symtoms. Mentally your mind is hyperactive and unable to clearly focus. Physically however, your always drained of energy. Constant fatigue and muscle weakness are tell tales signs of hyperthyroidism. Your mind jumps around but all you wanna do is sleep.
@LiberatedMind1 I'm 21. Doc said that I'm a little hypERthyroid. Before I was maybe 16, I was very hyperactive, mentally and physically. Now, I don't have much physical energy and have weak muscles, but my mind is always racing, like it can shut down or relax.
I need to know if hyperthyroidism can cause the symptoms that I had growing up (hyperactivity, anxiety, restlessness, fast heart rate, concentration difficulties, and cold intolerance).
@temour123 Same here friend. Every aspect of my life has been completely ruined by this damned disease. It depletes dopamine causing depression/adhd symptoms as well.
@titusduncanmd T3 Result 2.5 Normal range 0.8~2.0 units ng/ml T4 Result 155 Normal range 50~142 units ug/dl TSH Result 0.2 Normal range 0.4~10.0 units Ulu/ml Now i am on treatment of propylthiouracil 50 mg(3 times a day) for 2 months Do i need surgery?
I never knew i had Hyperthyroidism untill everything went blurry when i was playing a football match. the opponents scored and ever since then people say i'm shit at football :(
I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism 4 years ago. I got rid of naturally, but it took 4 months, but during this time, there are ways to reduce some fo the symptoms. I feel like have it again as I'm starting to get those symptoms again. The only way to know is to do a blood test.
I like to speak to someone that is hyperT. i.e. exchange emails and stuff.
Hi, I've recently been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism - don't know the cause until after my scan. I'm interested in knowing how you cured yours naturally. Is there any way you could post your cure, please? Thank you.

bugleweed works. It help to slow the throid down. Take 20 drops on a empty stomach 2 time a day. My husband has lost over 50 lbs. Take L- Glutamine it help the body repair the muscle take it at bedtime. Virgin coconut is good it helps the body to burn the coconut oil instead of the muscles and fat in your body. A good weight gainer to keep your calorie intake up. GNC take 2 or 3 times a day with a meal My husband has maintained what he has and not have lost anymore weightnatasha_c_lewis@yahoo.ca

Hyper/Hypothyroidism is almost always caused by an autoimmune condition so it makes more sense to work on building up our immune systems by diet and lifestyle change. If you would like some real good health advice , I suggest listening to Dr. David Clark ( clark chiro ) here on youtube. He has some very good videos that would be of great help to those who want to improve their health. He talks about hypothyroidism mostly in one video but listen to it anyway. Hope this helps.
Hypethyroidism can also be mistaken for Bipolar Disorder since the symptoms can mimic that of mania although it's most likely anxiety/restlessness is the most common.
i have it and there are 3 very small tumors in my right neck which are not cancerous, lucky me. But i'm scared on how the doctor will remove it. Surgery or just medicine? tsk!
I didn't think that "this" was what was causing my inability to gain weight. Still not fully sure if I have it or not, but it's always better to be safe than sorry. I don't really think I do because I take in quite a bit of antioxidants at times since Dark Chocolate is proven to contain it. I eat it whenever it's around, heh.
my heart beats so fast too. At first i thought it was a heart disease. But Yesterday i was diagnosed of having it. i'll still try to live normal as before. Actually i'm even a varsity player in our school. But i often play or practice but still consider as varsity but next year, i'll quit.

I cant talk to the cute girls that pass me each day, because I get so damn nervous. At first I thought it could'nt be that bad. But then I found out that it was an important gland in your throat, that pretty much controled 30% of your body's functions. Well if you have it, then get it treated as soon as possible.
This is an awesome video explaining this. Also seems like the genetically modified, processed foods people eat just mess up your thyroid as well. When I detoxified and ate better, I noticed my metabolism is a little slower compared to when I had an extremely fast metabolism.
