  • are you going to be doing more vid's soon?

  • dude you are cool!!!

  • @ 9:25 Ouch! Hope you did hurt yourself!

  • @bobbyfwh no it's Hope you didin't hurt yourself! you dips##t

  • tax money being put to good use i say...

  • poor you must miss her. (crys)

  • wow! i've never seen a truck that can me driven in bot sides! here in my city there are only IVECO truck, side-loader for plastic-paper-glass; for home to home disposal there are only little Isuzu back-loader with left hand drive

  • sorry *right hand drive*

  • fire in cab?

  • whats the latest truck to get scrapped??

  • Alot has changed with the truck situation, we have nearly replaced all of the old trucks. We only have 2 Internationals left now, and 1 old Peterbilt (sideloaders).

I cant say I miss any of those trucks, but I'm glad I got some good video of them before they left!

  • wow. so is WC replacing the old trucks with macks??

  • Yep, we have a mostly new fleet of MSL's now, all Mack/Mcneilus like 743.

  • cool... do they have mcneilus tippers??

  • They all have the same tipper as 743- made locally in Wichita.

  • oh ok

  • thats it? the piece of steel at 1:45 does all the compacting? I figured it would be much bigger

  • What happens to these trucks after awhile?

  • After being put out of service the shop takes whatever they need off the truck and the rest is sold as scrap

  • Rust in Peace.

  • farewell 702 u did ur job. and a lot of over time aswell. rip so sad

  • Tragic

  • more of this vids please :)

  • when was the old footage filmed

  • whats the music m8

  • All hail 702, she's done her part, bravo!

Good vid m8, thanks for uploading. Weird how you had to return the bin next to the garage at 4.45 .. service?

  • Thanks! An old lady lives at that house, I put the cart back where I get it from because she doesnt walk so well. Some of those type of customers have "carryout" service, and some others I just do it for them because they are nice little old people who dont have much trash anyway.

  • Best moral service in the business then m8, we've got a couple of those as well. We're contemplating on giving disabled ppl special stickers so they dont have to drag the things to the streets, but management is taking it's time... grrrr.. so i dont know every "not so well walker" in the area's we clean out.

  • Funny tags dude.

  • I didnt have a video to up load to show this because I cant figure out how to get my dvd camera to up load. But I just got back from dumping a load at the local landfill where I got good and stuck in my 05 GMC 4500. I had to get pushed out by the compactor/buldozer. That was a cool experience! He pushed a huge pile of garbage back into my truck so he wouldnt damage it with the blade. Kinda gave it some padding so to speak. Any way just thought I would share this. Thanks ERIC for the vids.

  • Wow awesome vid, the editing keeps getting better :D Rest in Pieces 702, very cool Int'l and you sounded even better. BTW What's the song called?

  • That truck isnt as good as the one you drive now but its still an awesome machine, kind of sad to see it go

  • Thats what I say too!

  • hey I just noticed this vid now! great footage too bad they did that.. thx for showing how the packer works behind! 5 stars and happy new years!

  • u r sexy eric! bye

  • Well as I always say about life expired bin trucks - off to the great landfill site in the sky!

  • WasteCnxsideloader if you havent already scrapped this truck you can turn it into a mobile home, some company does that turning garbage trucks into mobile homes, google garbage truck camper. 9:16 oh man an old stereo id like to fix that and if not possible hack it or use it for the parts.

  • I've seen that truck youre talkin about, thought that was a cool idea

  • yeah they look pretty cool but a little cramped and they cost more than a house

  • Gone to garbage truck heaven I suppose, wonder if it's found out the (it's) meaning of life? I get the idea it wasn't long until the basics got pulled out of it... I'm sure you would have liked to get your toolbox and visit the truck for the last time. Should've tried to scavenge a tyre or the steering wheel and throw it in a frame. Did you consider chaining yourself to the truck and protesting? :D

  • 702 had no trouble gobbling up that sofa & almost ate a garbage can.

  • it's a 10 min long film about junk crushing. love it ! it deserves all my five stars.

  • Great video! 702 was well past due for retirement! The new uploader is pissing me off too! I've been having the exact same problem! Now I have to sit there so I can copy/paste the title, description, and tags right after it uploads so that I don't get the file name as my title...I think they shoulda just kept the old uploader! Anyways, happy New Year, Eric! Keep the awesome vids coming! I wanna see more of 743! And a Christmas Leftovers vid would be cool too!

  • I thought i had seen this video before.Yes Youtube is allways tinkering with the site.I kinda like the new uploader I haven't had any problems with it so far?If you upload more than one video it sure is handy and faster cause you can upload and stay on same page and add all your vids at once thats what i like about it.But i do understand what you mean about leave well enough alone but they won't so thats all i can say except great vid Eric and happy new year

  • that thing was a beast

  • This is a case of driver abuse...this video clearly shows how a driver steals, vandalizes, destroys and basically has no respect for the truck. At:54 we see a driver who has stolen the radio, TV, speedo, rpm gauge, knobs and shit like that. Then at:44 we see a driver who stole engine parts for money. How could you be proud of yourself? your a fuckin thief. No wonder the company pays you very little. I guess you stole the spirit of Christmas also..fuckin stealer.I can't believe you filmed this.

  • Lol you silly, silly guy, I didnt steal any of that stuff- those damn shop mechanics got to it before I could!

One day the truck was on line and next thing I know its been stripped of most of its usefull parts.

If I won the lottery or something I would buy this damn truck and fix it up like new, put some shiny rims on it and a bumpin sound system, and cruise around in it.I'd get all the chicks... but I'm married so I'd have to tell them to go away lol but it would be fun.

  • COOL VIDEO LIKE OLD TRUCKS

  • 702 still lives in our memories..

    Rest in peace

  • I know that you said that you will be posting some new hopper vids with no music. Will they be from the week after christmas when there is a huge amount of garbage? I hope so I love watching Christmas garbage get the big sqeeze. Happy New Year Eric, thanks for all of the great vids.

  • Unfortunately I didnt get any video of the week after, but I got some pictures. It was so hectic and crazy that I just couldnt take the time to mess with setting up the camera and all that, I was in such a hurry to get it over with. The trash is still running very heavy though, I'm hoping to get some good video up sometime this week.

  • RIP 702

Never again will you crush any horny pole dancer shoes. (The clear ones you can see through)

Never again will you crush any pizza boxes or Diet pepsi cans, Never again will you crush any old TV sets.

As always your videos are 5 star

    Happy 2009 Eric,

I look forward to your videos for 2009.

  • Sad they "threw away" your 702!

  • It is, but I guess it had to happen eventually

  • RIP 702!

    As always your vids rock!

HAPPY NEW YEARS TO YOU ALL!

I'm runnin downstairs now to go watch Robbie jump the Mirage Volcano/Fire Fountain!

I'm in Vegas through the 1st and it's rockin hard!

And Eric, this is the last YouTube vid I watched for 2008 and right before I went to party, OK, I'm gone, goin down the the insane action on the strip!

    Here's to an awesome 2009!

  • New Years in Vegas, I bet that was a good time!!

  • May 702 RIP. Have they retired old 712 yet? Me and that truck go way back. I remember when it had the BFI decals and blue paint before they painted the front end white when BFI was bought out by WC.

  • I'm pretty sure 712 is gone too, I think they took the body and put it on a different chassis, but its not called 712 anymore, im pretty sure of that but ill check.

Damn, that was a long time ago if you still remember when it had a blue cab!

  • Yes please do. Yup I moved here in 1996 from Utah. I remember waiting for the moving truck to arrive to move stuff into the new house. It was on a Tuesday, and saw truck 712. It was a year or two old at the time. It was all shiny and nice looking. Then in 1998 they painted it white and that's when BFI was bought by Waste Connections. Those were good times. I got to know the driver of 712 pretty well at that time too.

  • Do you remember his name? I'm just wondering if he still works here. The routes have changed alot since then. There is the hardcore group of drivers, and the rest come and go over the years, I've seen many.

  • His name is Greg, he was the driver of 712 from 1996 to 2000 or 2001. He must of changed routes in one of those two years. No idea on his last name. He's an older gentlemen. Last time I seen him was probly in 2002 or so. I could be wrong.

  • I dont recall a residential driver named Greg, He must have left before I started there in 2003. Or he could possibly be a commercial driver now (roll-off or front load), I dont get to talk to those guys much.

  • He must have. Yeah or that too.

  • Let us never forget 702.

    Happy New Year everybody!

  • To quote Eric Cartman, "AWESOME!"

I think we'll all miss this truck, good stuff, can't beieve it lasted 14 years!

  • I like alot of your vids, i much prefer hopper action vids without music, if i see more of this it would be much better, cool!!!

  • I will be posting a unedited, no music hopper video in the near future, of my newer truck.

I also have other hopper vids without music that I've previously posted if you have'nt already checked them out, and thanks!

  • great vid, i loved that truck, glad you made all the great vids of it, they are always some of my favs

  • I just wish I would have gotten more hopper footage of this truck, but its kind of a pain in the rear to do with these particular hoppers.

  • Oh yea, I forget to ask.

The hydraulic cylinder is fill with gas (air) or liquid (oil) in it?

  • It is filled with hydraulic oil which is pressurized by the hydraulic pump

  • When the hydraulic oil dry out or leak, can it still repair or need to change it/replace?

  • Usually when it some leaks out you can just fix he leak and add more oil, but if you run it too low you will burn up the hydraulic pump-not good.

  • do u like 702

  • As far as the old internationals go, it was my favorite one.

  • i like the old internationals.does wc have any mack rear loaders

  • No, they are mostly Internatioanls, plus some freightliners and one Peterbilt RL

  • do u like the newest internationals

  • I've never driven a new International, but they look pretty nice

  • yea.hows the mack

  • Oh my goodness, this video made me a little dizzy trying to follow the camera around that little box. Your camera work has gotten much better. I think I like your new truck better.

    Happy New Year

    Jeremy

  • My new truck could run circles around these older ones, even on their best day. Everytime I see one of these trucks (or,god forbid, have to drive one because mine is being repaired) I am reminded of how nice it is to have 743.

  • I love how much you've evolved your footage capturing technique. :-)

  • I put a bit more effort into it now than I did back then, but unfortunately that makes it more time consuming, otherwise i would have more stuff posted.

    Quality not quantity though right?

  • i'm glad to see 702 is still alive : )

  • cool video and rest in pieces 702!!!

  • 702 has been through a lot and now its time has come...will you be driving the mack now? 5 stars

  • Yeah, this is mostly older footage I never got around to using. 702 was my route truck in 2004 and 2005,after that I drove 720, then 734 and now my current truck 743, the Mack. 743 is my favorite of all of them, but when any of those trucks were broke down and I had to get in a spare, I always chose 702 if it was available because it was always a decent truck compared to the other spares.

  • What spare truck do you use within after the last of the very old trucks like the internationals and so?

  • dude am i first??????? awesome if i am!!!! anywho 702 is a good old truck!!!!

  • WAS a good old truck. I'm kind of disapointed that the shop decided to scrap 702 becuse it still ran pretty good, but the rear end gave out and it wasnt worth it to them to fix it since they have to get rid of some of the older trucks to make room for the new ones anyway.

There are a few other old trucks similar to 702 that are crappier to operate, and still in service. If it was my choice I would have fixed 702 and got rid of one of the others.

  • did they scrap 702 at the boneyard or did she take a early "retirement" to mexico or some other centeral or south american country. they buy up the "old timers" & fix them up and use them for a really long time.
