They R sO awesome! When I was a little Kid I loved hearing George, and Rex and anyone who sang bass, manely because I was a Daddy's girl and my Dad sings bass. By the way,I'm still a Daddy's girl;and a Grandpa's girl! Ha!
Haha, this is hilarious. What a bass voice! I prefer the more gospel version to this country style... but this is still great. the choir sounds good. And just look at that hair! Hahahahaha.
This is such a fun song, you can just tell how much they are enjoying singing it, but it really comes alive when Vestal joins the "boys"! It's just not the same with out all these wonderful singers! They are missed.
My fav bass singer is so JD Sumner! he had the lowest note ever made by a human being. If you want an example of it watch?v=YyU1ISgMcfs. It is so cool
The Gaither Homecoming gang did this song last Saturday night here in Cleveland, Ohio. It featured Tim Duncan on bass from Signature Sound, but they kept showing this clip of Jake and George too singing it also.
Signature Sound is good, J.D Sumner and the Stamps have an amazing bass if you like that but the Inspirations are the best they have a good message to tell. And remember the Lord died for you
George Younce is unbelievable. He is singing so at ease it makes other bass singers look like amateurs. I miss him. I wish that a new bass singer will emerge that will remind me of him. I am sick and tired of these new bass singers...they are just pretenders. And the good ones like Gene McDonald don't sing...does anybody know why Gene is not singing anymore...
So many great gospel voices gone...bass singers alone that have left us recently...George, Rex, Brock and J.D. Its so great to have electronic memories!
When these men were still alive, Gaither had his very greatest musical treasures.

Could anyone recommend me some artists/songs like this? I prefer mr Younce, of these two.
Oh, and could anyone tell me when this was recorded?

This was recorded in 2000 in Memphis, TN. The Gaither Vocal Band and Ernie Haase and Signature Sound are the closest groups to this sound.
