@manugm0 Now THAT was the one person I've been expecting everyone to compare me to,lol, instead I get compared to the kid on Family Guy! No offense taken at all, glad you enjoyed the review :-)
They are entirelly different headphones. The HM5's are monitors while the HM3's are more bass heavy and have a less pronouned midrange and highs compared to the HM5's..this meand they have different missions and the choice will be up to you.
@BulldozerDubstep They have a better sound stage than the M2's, with a more focused sound, and smoother bass. If you like to use amps, the HM3's are much better than the M2's, responding better to different inputs from an amp. Hope that helps :)
Have you got the chance to compare them to the similarly designed headphone from Fischer audio? just to know whether they are just a rebranded version or does it actually have a different set of drivers..
@avengedtheater As much as I would love to do that,I dont have any access to any Fischer audio products where I live short of buying them online, and that isnt going to happen.Someone a little richer than me is going to have to do that, sorry. I can say that BRAINWAVZ iem's that were made from similar designs by other makes were always specifically tuned by mp4nation,not just a direct copy(different drivers/cables,etc.),so I would think the HM3's would follow that same path.Just my educated guess.
@davemcrae72 They are plenty sensitive, and will run just fine off of an mp3 player(I use a rockboxed Sansa Clip+ for testing :) ) I have found that it does work a bit better if you can amp them up(or at least pump up your eq on your player). The sound gets a bit fuller and more pronounced when doing this. Its not necessary, but it does help :)

How do these compare to the HM5 in regards of comfort, isolation and sound? And which one would you pick between the two?
