there should be snow that builds up and up and up and is solid blocks so you need a iron pickaxe to mine it and it snows all the time and five blocks of snow on your house means the roof falls in if your roof is less then 10 blocks high of wood or 5 blocks high of stone

There should be a Better Biomes mod where there are A LOT of different biomes like there would be Tundra, Taiga, Grasslands, Deciduous Forest, Chaparral, Desert, Desert-scrub, Savanna, Rainforest, Alpine, Swamp, Tropical, Artic, Aquatic, Polar, Highlands, and Wastelands. THAT WOULD BE AWESOME! :D

this mod should come with a hypothermia meter, if it goes up you get cold and start to freeze to death(it takes a while for the meter to go up) and the way to make it go down is to warm up near fire or lava

@yagizhacker probably not. in the flatland seed there is a village that looks the same as the gimmeabreak seed. check it out your self if you dont believe me. my point is. there is more seed than we could possibly count. you can spawn in a random seed and still find a village on flat ish ground. and if you look at the edge of his fog you can see huge mountains. those are not part of gimeabreak seed.

@s4nd3r78 You can manually turn off constant snow already (config file), as well as reverting biome temperatures to vanilla. Obviously, snow will only build up when it's actually snowing...
