Sadly yes. It's a bunch of old fools being paid handsomely to pass some of the most ridiculous legislative bills ever that will destroy the economy. You would think the congressional staff is better than that...no..they are all either bought off and paid or just plain and stupidly liberal.
1) There are at most 12 million undocumented immigrants in the country.
2) The bill doesn't cover them.
3) The bill costs about a trillion over 10 years. That's not that much compared to a lot of other shit the government is wasting money on right now. It also lowers the deficit.
Whether or not it will help fix the health insurance system remains to be seen.
3. Yeah the "claim" is it will cost us 1 trillion over 10 years but will only pay out the last 6 of those years. What will it cost the second 10 years? Yeah the government waste money, thanks for "acknowledging" this is wasteful, but this justifies wasting more how? How does it lower the deficit, by waving a magic wand?
It will fix the insurance system like a mafia hitman...
2) You have no proof it ever will. I want proof, not paranoid conspiracy theories.
3) It theoretically lowers the deficit by saving money spent on uninsured people. The ER being one of the biggest financial burdens uninsured people pass onto the rest of taxpayers. Another way it theoretically saves money is by tort reform and tax credits to small business.

The bill pretty much states that this secretary can do whatever he want, so in essence the house voted to let an un-named secretary decide to do whatever the hell he or she desires even if the American people don't want it and congress as well as the executive branch at that point will be powerless to stop it short of repealing the bill (assuming it passes the senate).
And I am grateful for those who have been fighting this bill from he start, I want nothing to do with it. The reform that is needed to make the system as good as it can be has not even been toughed by this bill. Thanks for the comment, after reading the health care bill that passed a few days ago, I am mad as hell. Everything Pelosi said has been a lie, according to the bill on pages 92 to 94, I will not be able to keep my insurance even though I like it, it will not cover the American territories even though they will pay into it and more importantly the bill leaves much up to the decision of a yet to be named secretary.
The problem is that what Pelosi said had to be radically changed without public knowledge to appease the Republicans....(.Demo's are pussies) to pass SOMETHING. Blame those who have been fighting it from the start. Why else do you think it passed? EVERYBODIES a winner except us. Or should I say U.S. And yes you wil be able to keep your insurance it's just your insurance probably wont be there unless they lower their costs simply because they will not be able to compete with government run HC.

I believe there is a big difference between healthcare and welfare. I am strongly against welfare. It was never to supposed to be abused the way it is and it has hurt our society. Healthcare of our people however should be provided someway without it distorying your life because of it's inflated cost due to poor management and greed. Fortunately, a friend recently received a copy from his Congresswoman that has: "section by section summaries in clear language that helps people understand the legislation". 1) This is according to pretty much all counts.
2) You have no proof it ever will. I want proof, not paranoid conspiracy theories.
3) It theoretically lowers the deficit by saving money spent on uninsured people. The ER being one of the biggest financial burdens uninsured people pass onto the rest of taxpayers. Another way it theoretically saves money is by tort reform and tax credits to small business.
Who said I thought it was a good bill? But I think the Republican proposals are even worse.

Premium rates going up has nothing to do with Democrats and this bill. Premium rates have been skyrocketing for the past 20 years. They keep skyrocketing because the insurance companies can rake in more profit by doing so.

The bill pretty much states that this secretary can do whatever he want, so in essence the house voted to let an un-named secretary decide to do whatever the hell he or she desires even if the American people don't want it and congress as well as the executive branch at that point will be powerless to stop it short of repealing the bill (assuming it passes the senate).

Everything Pelosi said has been a lie, according to the bill on pages 92 to 94, I will not be able to keep my insurance even though I like it, it will not cover the American territories even though they will pay into it and more importantly the bill leaves much up to the decision of a yet to be named secretary.

If it was changed to appease the republicans, then the bill would have gone a radically different direction than it did, I think it was changed by democrats to gain support from the ultra liberals, not the republicans. The bill will be modified by the senate, but I read the house version and if they get my way, no I will not be able to keep my insurance, it is right on pages 92 to 94.

I believe there is a big difference between healthcare and welfare. I am strongly against welfare. It was never to supposed to be abused the way it is and it has hurt our society. Healthcare of our people however should be provided someway without it distorying your life because of it's inflated cost due to poor management and greed. I believe when it comes to health, it should be a non-profit organization. When I say non-profit, I mean restrictions on CEO salaries, and perscription drugs.

As you may well be aware, much of the health care bill (HR 3200) is filled with legalese that can be difficult to wade through. Fortunately, a friend recently received a copy from his Congresswoman that has: "section by section summaries in clear language that helps people understand the legislation". A link to that PDF and a summary of the bill in Q/A format is available in the comments section of my channel.
