download magic lantern firmware and bump up the shutter speed. in broad daylight you'll have no exposure problems. you can go as high as 1/8000. cheers.
nice catch. quick question: I was wondering if anybody had any information on why exactly CP is running trains with a trailing engine. I just saw one go past my house at about 5PM and they have been doing it for about a month now but it is only once it gets dark or at night. anyone have a clue?
Motion blur is exactly why I'm getting a new camcorder. I have made many mistakes at finding out what motive power is in the consist I've just shot by having blurred out numbers. Nice catch!

@b4rn1k4 Thanks! I've installed ML and figured out how to adjust the video shutter speed. Now I'll have to try some shooting with it!

Great video, you should try a different settings. Do you have it manual or auto?

Does the camera have any video settings which can be changed that might help?
saintjohnrailfan 1 month ago
@saintjohnrailfan Not really. I was in 720p/30. It also shoots in 1080p/20 but I would think the lesser framerate would just make things worse.
