This song fits Balthier sooo incredibly well. One thing that sets him apart from the stereotypical pirate is how he remains faithful to friends. He has a sense of justice and honor. He is one of my favorite FF characters ever, second only to Zack Fair.

Ashe was with Rasler, and she still loves him, but you can tell she has moved on somewhat. It's obvious that she cares for Basch at the end when Penelo writes the letter to Larsa. In a way, Penelo and Larsa could be paired, the same with Vaan and Penelo. Basch and Ashe could be, but the same with Balthier and Ashe, as well as Balthier and Fran. Anyways, wonderful video! ^^ I love this couple greatly~<33

It's never stated in the game, and there are hints toward both pairings. So it's really all up to the fans, which I think was the point. Kind of like how they never resolved VII's Tifa/Cloud/Aeris triangle because they didn't want to alienate half the fandom.
