@dankebuddha No they weren't. For the P71's the top speed is either 130 or 120 depending on which gear ratio it has. Just because the speedo goes to 140 does not mean that the car will go that fast.
@DerWahnsinnCVN i've owned 15 crown vic's all ex cop cars by them cheap from the auctions and drive them till i sell them and they all do 140 mph speed tested with radar you can pick them up cheap and have a great daliy driver it has the same ratios as the average crown vic the difference is the speed limiter

@dieselalong the suspensions are heavy duty last a long time much stiffer then your normal crown vic the tranny's are the same in both cars but the regular crown vics has a shorter shift point the p71 cars hold gears longer for better acceleration as far as proof ask anybody that deals in police cars they will say the same

Sure they don't have heavy power seats and carpet, but how much does the push bar, emergency lights,prisoner cage and all the safety stuff that they keep in the trunk weigh? @Floatsforlife It has a 600-700 hp 427 big block. And if that one doesn't do it, Big Chris's Camaro with a 505 big block packing about 850 horsepower should do the trick because it should be able to run in the 9's.
@shashoni109 not sure never tried. 20's probably. its stock. and cost me 2500 bucks.. 210 hp... maybe... its a small V8 single overhead cam, Its rear wheel drive, dual exhaust. four door and all stock... and i don't take it to the track. I am quite sure it would be under 5 hours. If i want to go fast I'll take my bike. and 600 to 700 out of a 427.. quite impressive. you must be the happiest kid alive. Some day you will own your own car and you wont have to brag about a car you don't have.
@Floatsforlife yea. my dads chevelle runs 10's too and it could smoke your grand marquis. after i smoke them ill take you for a ride on the track which is located inside my private unicorn ranch in italy.....i hate it so much when people say "my dads car" or "my friends car" too bad its not your car! haha. my friend has a 97 grand marquis gs. slow but sweet

i have a 95' grand marcheezy as me and my friends call it and i'v taken it to englishtown and ran a 13.96 quarter. there accually pretty fast for weighing over 2 tons, i'm hoping to put a flowmaster on it with a small junkyard turbo out of a school bus or sum shit
