Not exactly. Under Boot Camp you can only run one OS (either Mac OS X or Windows) at a time. So you will have the entire 2GB RAM available at all times.
To switch to the other OS you need to completely restart the computer. Also you will not be able to save files in one OS and retrieve them in the other.
Photoshop filters and plugins that they're still not developing a Mac compatible version for. Was shocked myself, I've yet to find anything I used before on a PC that I couldn't use on my Mac, but this unfortunately is it. *sob*

VMware Fusion is superior to Parallels in everyway.
I used Parallels first then tried VMware Fusion. Boy, im glad i did. I will never go back to Parallels...ever.
If havent tried VMware Fusion before, i highly recommend you do so. Its faster, its integration with OS X is no much nicer and more efficient. Their Unity mode is killer.
Also, if you want to run Linux, Parallels is the worst. Its a joke.
I tried this program and it sucked big time. I had to change my IP parameters to get onto the internet when running windows and once I got that working I couldn't get on the net on my Mac anymore.

That's a good explanation. It's better to have the option to use Windows on a Mac for now. I've seen it work. Windows really runs natively on a Mac and at great performance. People can still run their Windows games, business software, and whatever the heck else until they can make the transition over to Mac. I've run windows on my mac book pro faster. Compare a dell XPS M1710 to a mac book pro. Both top of the line laptops. they have about the same hardware minus blu-ray on the mac (for now). But the mac has a crazy easy OS and is packed with applications you'll actually use, (windows movie maker has nothing on iMovie) Not to mention the handy built in cam. The Macbook Pro is 500 more but like they say, IT JUST WORKS

Question on systems running Mac which security software would you need? One that is Mac based? One that is Winow based? or both? I just purched a new imac and have installed windows xp and can't seem to find anyone with an answer on this.

I will be installing Windows XP imediatly not because I prefer it, but for "GAMES". Imac is the gold standard of personal computer use.

I've run windows on my mac book pro faster. Compare a dell XPS M1710 to a mac book pro. Both top of the line laptops. they have about the same hardware minus blu-ray on the mac (for now). But the mac has a crazy easy OS and is packed with applications you'll actually use, (windows movie maker has nothing on iMovie) Not to mention the handy built in cam. The Macbook Pro is 500 more but like they say, IT JUST WORKS

Use paralles or bootcamp. Macs might hurt ur wallet a bit, sure, but, i mean, if ur a student like me its flexible. for what ur studing. U probaly suck at games anyway. not everyone uses they're pc/mac for games, everyone i know only has one game on they're pc/mac: Counter Strike. most people now use a PS3, XBox 360, or a Wii. and if u want to do what u sed FAST, then get a mac, if u wanna wait 10 centuires for the fucking internet browser to load, use ur shitty little pc, dickhead

Example: go to any download site and see the number of fun and useful programs for both PC and Mac, bet your ass PC has more. Where do you get off? What a load of FUD. The Mac has so many features build right into the system that makes Microsoft look very weak indeed. Can you store colours in the system pallet like in OS X? No. Can you create a PDF from any print dialog in a variety of formats? No. Everything has to be installed as an extra, which is where it starts to shit up with Windows. What a pile of crap. Glad you follow windows like the rest of the sheep.

Nice video to show everyday tasks. If you buy a Windows you cannot have OS X dumbass. With the new Intel Imacs you can use both. I am going to buy my own Intel Imac 17" ASAP. I will be installing Windows XP imediatly not because I prefer it, but for "GAMES". Imac is the gold standard of personal computer use.

I show Firefox too. I had like 20 minutes to make this video before I had to hop a train to work. Not much to work with on a clean XP install.
Besides, the point isn't to push it to its limits. The point is to show how everyday tasks perform just as fast (or faster!) than running them on a separate Windows machine.

Mac is way better for digital design and graphics and now with intel processors render times will be faster and bootcamp is cheaper than buying a PC just to run software only written for Windows, imho.

don't talk about rendering and MAC's they are garbage for rendering! With a lot of video software example on MAC's you have to wait for rendering! I use both operating systems for their benefits, but Windows certainly does video editing for example quicker.

He's on the internet to show how smooth page strolling and how fast pages load, you can have an internet with infinite speed, but your computer still has to handle all those pictures. It's not 4 minutes reboot, you're high, it was only ~10 seconds you little monkey. But I do agree that iPod battery life sucks.
