i cried when i heard kids boo the blues , I'm 17 and I have been listening to the blues since the first time i got my guitar, and i refuse to play anything else but the blues!!!
I heard someone say something that I have been trying to put into words for many years....B.B. King the only man alive that can make you cry with one note. I couldn't have said it better myself....I have seen him six times and I hope and pray for the next time I love you B.B.
@crowman131 Sorry but that's kinda stupid, no offense, you listen to blues when you feel like listening to blues. How else are you gonna enjoy it? Period.
I Was Very Fortunate & Lucky To See B.B. King Performed Live In Concert About 6 - Times In My Life!! I Will Always Respect & Love The Blues No Matter What!! Long Live B.B. King & The Blues Forever!!
I think you need to be a little older and maybe even suffered a little bit to really get what this master of the Blues does. Nobody better in the world. God love you BB.
I think you need to be a little older and maybe even suffered a little bit to really get what this master of the Blues does. Nobody better in the world. God love you BB.
Amazing guitarist. That solo in the beginning: pretty easy to "play", but very hard to play like BB King. I mean with all that bending and other stuff.
I know the feeling of "being black twice", 'cause I live in a Kansas redneck town and I am the only black man that plays music , but they think because I'm "high yellow" that I am one of them.
He truely feels his music. I'm only just starting to develop that myself, and it feels so good. I think not enough musicians nowdays play from the heart and soul like BB still does today. I love the fact that I'm 21 years old...born in 88 yet im loving his blues as if i were born in the 50s and grew up with it. Love ya BB....love you Lucille! ;)
@rotaryturb0 Man you wont believe it but I feel the exact same way. I'm 22 now and I began playing blues guitar some weeks ago. (I played harder stuff before) but nothing compares to the feeling to produce a tone with your guitar that just slightly reminds you of B.B. and Lucille....
he is and i saw him live in NYC a few weeks ago and he was playing and singing no different than he is here in this video. He stuck around after the show and we all ran up to the stage and he signed autographs and handed out guitar picks and told us stories bout the old days. He's a very genuine fellow.
met BB King here in Omaha set up his backline for Rainbow Studio's They sent me to get food for the crew from mickey d's walked up to him later and asked for his autograph..he was really nice about it..said he didn't have no paper...I had a french fry bag...he signed that...kept it for a long time...at my 24th B~Day party a beer got spilled on it...what a drag...BB King Rules..I try to do as many of his songs I can with my blues group
Yeah I imagine if anyone booed a modern day BB gig you'd hear a high pitched, stinging, BB note, there'd be a flash of BB blue and the daft booing bastard would be deleted form existence!
a lil bit oftopic but funny 1. Your reading my comment 2. Now your saying/thinking thats a stupid fact. 4. You didnt notice that i skipped 3. 5. Your checking it now. 6. Your smiling. 7. Your still reading my comment. 8. You know all you have read is true. 10. You didnt notice that i skipped 9. 11. Your checking it now. 12. You didnt notice there are only 10 facts
You know he got "B.B." from when he worked at a radio station. His name was Beale Street Blues Boy. They shortened it to Blues boy. Then to Bee Bee. Then to B.B.
this is what i grew up on, my grandmother kicked our ass if we touch the hi-fi when she plaed mr. king, i must thank her for that, love her so so much, i miss her more
Agree; the guy is unreal in concert; he was my first concert in 1971 and saw him several times since; also saw Clapton, Winter, Alvin Lee, lots of other "legends" in their prime, and nobody pulled your soul right through the f-holes in his guitar like BB; only guy I've heard who made you hear notes he wasn't even playing!
Good catch on the f-holes on current Lucilles; however, his Gibsons in the 1970's (when I saw him several times in concert) had them, although it is conceivable they were fake as on the ES 300's of the era. Check out the Memphis show with Bobby Bland in 1975 for example.
Can u imagine anyone booing BB? If I seen someone boo BB,Buddy or any of the legends..I would smack them across their baby face. These young kids have no idea of what a real guitar player is..hell,they think a guy with a bucket on his head is good..LOL
