If I walked into this in 85', being a fan of bands like the Ramones, I'm not sure I would appreciate it at all.
Having seen a good number of noise and experimental bands since 1985, I think I would have been intrigued. They give you just enough structure to keep your interest and Tibet's vocal sound is very nice.
I remember when they played the Westcliff Hotel in Clacton on sea in '84 or '85. I seem to remember that they had a female vocalist. People were walking out in disgust.
Tibet has worked with a number of people with far-right connections, but seeing as he wrote "Hitler as Kalki" and dedicated it to his father who fought Nazis, and actually believes Hitler to be the anti-Christ, I don't think that's any reflection on his own beliefs.
ppl seriously need to stop tying down the neofolk/apocalpytic folk/martial industrial scene with fascist accusations. yes, a few of them can truthfully be labelled as such, but the majority of the accused actually aren't.
... that's also Steve Ignorant (towards end of video) at the far left back of the stage after freaking out. I vaguely remember this gig - was quite unnerving. Thanks for posting.

The track here is "Maldoror est Mort" and appear at the their first casette "Mi Mort"(1983). The influence from Throbbing Gristle is noticeable.

Actually, I think the guy on the far side of the stage is Nick Rogers ; this was from Dog's Blood/Nightmare Culture [era] or just a free form.

Do you know the line up for this? Sort of sounds like S. Ignorant at the far end, but doesn't look like him.
