  • so you realized that you needed to hurry and attack his kindside....but it was AFTER Be6. Its not clear to me how Be6 is that critical or how it improves your position...just leave the bishop there and b7 is guarded. later you could always develop your rook somehow my advancing your a pawn. I do stuff like this fairly often myself and i can say its often very useful to wait a long time on developing the queenside bishop.

  • Not sure about f6 at 3.18, it seems to just bung things up on the kingside, where you are looking for things to be open and fluid.

f5 or Bd6 both look like better ideas to me...

  • Brave and spectacular game anyway! :)

    Thank you!

  • what about Rg3 at 6:27 for black?? i can't really work out the continuation for white but I think i can see a perpetual check/draw opportunity

  • at 3:14 have you thought about sacrificing the bishop with Bh4? Maybe there's an attack there I don't know

  • also king,i am sorry to tell u ur computer is right. that endgame is a draw after Rg5. since u have rybka do monte carlo analysis. dead draw.

  • Yes but I only had about 10 minutes anyway, so who knows what would have happened - I might have ended up losing on time even if I had played Rg5. Although it would have given me more chances than the game continuation.

  • amazing timing kingscrusher topalov paco was like this today. wow.

  • At 6:18 couldn't you have played Rxg3 check; Nxg3; Qxe3 check, forking g3 and d3? I suppose you dismissed this for a good reason :)

  • Yeah but after that 29 Kg2 covers the knight and the king is nice and comfy there and the attack rages on against f6 soon!

  • after looking a second time I realise it doesnt work at all-obviously :)

  • I initially thought he could pin the knight with his other rook, but it seems easy to defend this position- and of course the queen defends d3.

  • that's Mures, pronounced MURESH!
