    Your car would have put down even better numbers if you were intercooled. Did you use any type of meth/water injection? I should have my little money pit on the road again around the first of the month. I'll be running a stock T45 I had sitting in the garage until I get some income tax fund this spring and buy a proper trans. It might last a minute or a year I'll just have to cross my fingers. That's if the wife doesn't find something she wants more lol.

  • @jivepepper well at the time i just didnt want intercooler to much bs for me... i was going to run a t-trim and turn up boost to 25+, that would have got me 9's for sure. My car also had a very conservetive tune on it, 22 was my max timing at wot, i had alot more in her, i just didnt want to risk poping head jasket. my last time out was 10.52 @131 with 28x10.5x15 slicks. coasting the last 150 ft cus i ran out of gear had 456 at time, switched it to a 410 but sold er before making more passes.

    Wow 22* timing is that pump gas? I run 15 on my street tune and 17* on my race( still pump gas) tune. I only run pump gas. Maybe with no intercooler a T-trim will make 25psi on a cammed, ported head/intake car but I still doubt it. When Vortech says 26 psi max it's not on a free flowing V8. I'm spinning the piss out of mine to see to 20-21 psi. That extra half second comes hard.

  • @jivepepper  no that was race feul, the fast feul injection, but i ran the AF ratio pig rich like 10.0 -10.5 after 5500 rpm, my guy Lidio, built a sister car to mine that ran 9.80's with the t-trim and no aftercooler.

    both cars were done in 2003 i cant remember the other guys name, but he raced the NMRA circuit back then.

    also both cars had ported heads and intake and 580 lift cams. His car weighed 2900, mine was 3250, i still had full interior his was gutted.

  • Part 2. Since I left the rear springs stock except 4 removing the rubber isolators. I had 2 run the front springs as high as possible because it had 2 much of a rake. Now I have no weight transfer. Im going to lower the rear then that should allow me 2 lower the front. I'll have 2 raise my intercooler also. That's why I've waited. Need fab up a few new pipes. Plus about 3 months ago I exploded 3rd gear. But I can't complain since it was a used stock trans and it lasted through 7 years of abuse.

  • @jivepepper it was a custom job made by lidio from alternative auto. it was just to titghten belt up i was running a 8 rib set up and couldnt get it to stop throwing belts. With the bigger puley i could make 10+ runs and then it would chew them up but not throw them off at 125 mph and hardly have any brakes lol...

    The best I've done with the new setup is 11.01 @ 134 with a best trap of 135. Thats on 17X10.5" DD Cobra R's in back with 315/35/17 MT DR's and 17x9" Cobra R's in the front with 255/45/17". When I did my last set up I also installed UPR's K-member/coilover kit, CHE rear adjustable upper and lower control arms, subframe connectors, 8 point roll cage, welded TQ boxes, and cast/camber plates. Went with 175lb springs for the front. I used 2 average 1.68-1.70 60' now 1.74. NEXT post lol

  • @jivepepper Keep at it bro... get your 60ft down to 1.4, 1.5 with slicks and skinnys with an auto trans and big stall 4-5000 or nice t-5 and you will see low 10's for sure with that trap speed. I aslo gutted my ac, everything in the trunk, front & back seat and anything else I didnt need lol got 350+ pounds out my car that way.

  • nice i just buily my new 2v aluminator, knife edged forged crank, forged pistons and connecting rods, with 15psi v2 vortech. aeromotive fuel rails and regulator, power cooler, fmic, ice box, bat relocate, pi swap, cams, 3point edelbroc sway brace, tokico shocks and struts, eibach spotlines (dont recommend), shorty bbk polished ceramic header, bbk x pipe, bassani mufflers, underdrive pullys, light weight flywheel, aluminum drive shaft, tri axe, t45 with carbon fiber syncros...+ more i cant think.

  • @zamudio96 well hope you got alot of spare dough lol... complete motor, built trans and supercharger was about$15,000

    10 for motor 2 for trans and about 3 for supercharger.

  • woo nvm ill only get a supercharger and throttle body and underdrive pulleys and a stage 2 centerforce clutch

  • you cant run underdrive pullies and a supercharger, just so ya know and dont f up your motor

    I have less than 6k in my 2v motor and recently put down 665 and the shortblock is 5 years old. $2799 for my MMR Mod 900 shortblock $1300 for my Patriot stage 2 heads $1000 for my TFS intake with the oval upper and Accufab Throttle body. 650 for my Houston performance S292 cams. I have around 5k in my Sc set up. Don't forget all the support modes like fuel pulleys etc. I ran stock tr3650 for almost 5 years until third finally disintegrated. The also needs upgraded.

  • @zamudio96 well yes and no it was plated and insured... but the heads, and alot of other things were'nt street legal, it would NOT pass smog test for sure...

    It also had slicks not street tires, I took it on the roads all the time, they dont enforce stuff to much in Mi, there is no smog test anymore.

    So no its not legal, I could get a boat load of tickets from a prick cop for sure.

    Was throwing belts like crazy, so I made alternator pulley bigger ie to make belt tighter, then it would just chew them up after 10- 15 runs but it would stay on and I could make passes. ( cheap fix)

  • where did you hook up your MAF sensor???

  • don't need one its speed density,It has fast feul injection computer you can set it up either way, speed density is easier to tune.

  • Did you do a wet sleeve bore to handle all the boost or just a dry?
