  • looks good... loads of work must have gone into this... wish I was half as skilled...

does anyone know if this will be released?

  • Slow :P

  • I have the latest version and for the most part it runs well enough, but still reboots now and then and battery life is nowhere as good as normal rom.

The port is going well though, and will be happy when it's done.

Welldone to the devs who are working on it at xda.

  • Btw Cyanogen team announced start of work with CM9 (4.0 - ICS) !!!

  • As i see performance now sucks, really low fps while moving windows, opening menus ect. Hope they will fix it on Desire before stable versions. Another observation, battery drained during that movie by one bar ...just as curiosity ;p

  • great vid i like the song too

how do i install and do you think it will work on htc evo 4g?

  • @itsjezzybrah it will work

  • Watching this movie feels like that I am watching a cheap porn movie when I cannot afford money for a high class prostitute. Music supports the mood too.

  • Desire can run with Android4.0!!It's really amazing!!

I'm looking forward to ICS ,on my Desire HD.

  • This is outstanding work so far, give the dev community a while and they'll have a port of ICS for the desire that absolutely flies

  • cant wait to get stable ICS or CM9 on my Desire!!!!!

  • there are so many threads on XDA developers about this rom...

    which is the most recent?

  • nice music... when is this going to be available for sensation :(( HTC, screw this Sensation... WE WANT ICE CREAM SANDWICH!

  • Wish there was a good ics Rom for htc incredible

  • I'm sorry but this looks rubbish.

  • read the title and description, this is VERY FUCKING ALPHA, so STOP BITCHING

  • @FreeGamingConsoles British huh?

  • Well, it already runs much better than the former video. Will it become completely smooth? Is it worth waiting for this to get done?

  • @Maruzzolith Well the Source has been released so I can't imagine this will continue to be developed.

  • Like Homer Simpson would say... mmm, IceCream!!!

  • 65+1=66

  • Laggy. But fun

  • will this also work on desire z?

  • @johrie91 This one? No. But I assume HTC will put out an official ICS update for your device. Just wait

  • @nickbouwhuis I dont know for sure with HTC, i was just curious if this could work with the desire z because the port for the z doesnt have good touchscreen drivers :P but the source is out so hopefully soon :)

  • I like the sharper edges in ICS compared to UI design in other versions of android.

  • do we have any update marcomsousa? you did a goo job! i indeed installed this to my HTC desire, i got same thing that you shown here.

  • this is an SDK not yet a complete ROM. you will get what you see in the video, don't complain! you were told beforehand by marcomsousa.

  • it runs very smooth, it looks like almost everything is working man

  • @KevMtzYM well almost everything :P

  • Fake

  • @joyx81 How?

  • pzmtuthcvpvl@ thanks for your reply

Are you sure that iPhone's type Emoji are included/supported as well?

  • If my phone doesn't get official ics definitely rooting this

  • I put it on my phone, very good job! Please continue to work on it :D

  • The HTC Desire is just the best android phone...in the right hands. HTC barely managed to get 2.3 on it but here I am running 2.3 on CM7.

  • @JCZ101 that because your using a rom without htc sense. 2.3 would of been possible if they got rid of sense UI, but they didnt want that

  • @marcomsousa Does ICS support natively Japanese text input?

Also, does it support Emoji like the iPhone (and compatible with iOS)?

I will be very glad if you (or someone else?) could answer me.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Following the development on XDA. Keep up the great work :)

  • name of song?

  • Why do all android devices seem so laggy?

  • @xxYetterxx

    All WTF

    This is very alpha.

  • @xxYetterxx its an SDK port what do u expect

  • @xxYetterxx lol? inform before say this bullshit

  • @Urk0ZzZ I'm just saying what I've seen. I'm sure the high end devices aren't that bad but every device I've seen as well as when I played with the galaxy S in the store, it just doesn't seem responsive.

  • @xxYetterxx THIS IS 4.0 NOT FOR GALAXY S SO ITS NORMAL ITS LAGGED

  • @xxYetterxx Because it is an experimental port not all drivers fuctions correctly making it really laggy but that has nothing to do with the phone itself.

  • Nice! only thing I wonder: is ICS generally that slow on htc desire, or is it just because of early build?

  • HTC users are excited now....

  • Well done, thanks for all your work! Now let's hope the N1 will get an update and that we can use some drivers. We can expect nothing from HTC though...

  • @cherusker17 no update to be expected on N1 :'(

  • you are good love it

  • Seen smooth enough fro very alpha release, keep up the good work:D

  • Keep up the good work. Thanks :)

  • God I was getting worried. I read that the Nexus one isn't getting the update (And they mentioned the Desire as it was released in the same time frame). Awesome to see it's possible to have some Ice Cream on my Desire :D

  • @AnarchyEngineer It wont get it from HTC, you need to root your phone to get it.

  • @scottymeuk Yeah. I've been playing with a few roms. My main concern was the Devs leaving the Desire behind for the shiny new devices.

  • for sdk port very good. with real touchscreen and not this optical mouse.

  • you'tr GOD!

  • Please let us know when a stable rom is ready to flash. You rock!!!

  • Nice improvements it looks pretty responsive for an SDK Port. Keep up the good work!

  • does the camera and the wifi work on this yet?

  • Hey, push EGL libs from Desire, and u will have a speedy phone (well, no faster as they get hwcomposer for desire, but faster than that version.)

  • As happy as this makes me (i have a desire), i really hope future updates improve the speed, because holy balls it looks slow. (Yes, i understand this is an Alpha build.)

    Thanks for uploading!

  • @acinixys The speed is slow because it is a port from the sdk not from a existing HTC phone

But to me it looks like it makes progress every 2 days, hope in 1 month we will be able to see a fully functional ICS for HTC Desire - The Nexus One has a version with working wifi now !
