  • Please could you do a video to show us mortals how to play this? :-)

  • nicely played. do u have transcription of it please? or a link to a good lesson to learn it?

  • Not bad, but your practice pad is huge. I would of dug it a lot more if you could've played it on a smaller pad man.

  • sick

  • what pad is this?

  • insane! just wow;D

  • perfect

  • What pad are you using? its seems extremely quiet and I need sth like that (good playing btw)

  • what hand did you lead with?

  • please play crazy army very slow

  • hes playing Crazy Army by Steve Gadd

  • ppl what do you do to get your left hands to be that fast

  • @worldcomander

    training,always training

  • @worldcomander Practice, work on accents and doubles. Use your left hand more than your right for awhile and you will see an increase in speed.

  • really good!!

  • FUCK!! i know what your playing but i cant remember what its called. lol good job btw.

  • Steve Gadd - Crazy Army???

  • @abcdog350

    Electric wheelchair by scv

    is almost like crazy army

  • This reminds me a lot of unpleasant but necessary hours of training before even having the right to get near the REAL drums.

  • Very good, indeed. You should be proud!

  • thanks a lot

  • Bravissimo!!!

  • Very nice !

The groove is here. You're doing exactly the right stuff.

Steve might be proud of ya.

    Check out my videos.

    Bob.

  • el me commento el xe in diaeto...fisso, te gà messo i tap al posto dea cassa..bea figada

  • ciò a casa noea gho a cassa....

  • in the end, u were doing Ghost notes? and the ghost notes were doubles?

  • yes!!

  • Can someone do this with match grip as well as with traditional?

  • this sounds exactly like electric wheelchair

  • that's what i thought

  • can somebody teach me how to do this??

  • I agree with most every comment posted here. You did a good job. ;D

I have a question, though: What kind of pad is that? I love that sound it produces. @_@

  • The pad is the HQ real feel 6 inch

  • dude i have the exactly same practice pad

  • yah thats right mannn

living up to the demarchi name

    im a demarchi too

  • you good

  • awesome, man!

  • Sounds better on a pad then many I have heard on a set LOL. Great job! Very Clean.

  • Most of these guys don't have a clue what that is all about. Rudiments and practice. It's impossible for a basic cellar drummer to understand what it needs to play whitout using any rebounds and play all with your hands.

  • Great work. You've managed to capture the vibe quite well on the practice pad. Your open rolls are quite clean.

When you can, you should really have a go at it on the kit. When you add the bass drum, it adds a whole new level of dynamic.

Interestingly with this particular solo, the groove is more important than playing it at 'strict' march tempo. The PASIC Columbus 2005 vid proves this. Gadd plays it much slower than he used to, but the groove is amazing!

  • great

  • Really nicely done. The sticking is very clean, and you sound relaxed. Anybody who thinks there aren't enough notes or whatever can go fuck themself.

  • Love it. Nice and clean.

  • where can i get that music?

  • very nice, i strive for this standard. I just cant get that grip you use with your left hand sorted. whats that grip called and how are you holding it exactly??

    thnx

  • thats traditional grip

  • you try to play traditional grip without lessons?... good for you!

  • what brand is your pad? cos its really clean sound, unless thats your mic from your camera or whatnot

  • HiQ REAL FEEL 6 inch

  • Very fine execution of open-style rudimental drumming. You nailed the Steve Gadd solo. Hope you progress to the full set. It's when you see the entire set as the practice pad that you'll be a "monster". Is suspect you're a drum corp drummer. I'd be interested to know. Some years ago when I played drum corp a friend asked me to sit down with him to disect a Buddy Rich solo. I grew up on the drum set and had just come to rudimental playing in an open style. My friend couldn't play a bossa nova.

  • THANKYOU VERY MUTCH

  • the rolls were pretty good, but besides that is was pretty plain. there was nothing to it

  • plain? it's a practice pad. what were you expecting?

  • reminds me of the movie drumline that one of them do

  • whatttttt!!!!

    that so cool men ...

  • cavolo !

    bravo !

  • Nice sound. nice pad. nice player.!

  • hey how do i learn to play that?

  • look the steve gadd video and learn...

  • the video with dave weckl and vinnie?

  • Cool.. So smooooth :) Impressive technique... Steve Gadd would be glad :D

  • Man those are some smooth doubles. Why fade out for?? Nice job.

  • iMovie make me the fade out ..

  • Oh watching it again I saw you did actually finish. It's just every video of I find of Crazy Army (Steve Gadd or otherwise) seems to fade out and you don't get to see the end. nvm :)

  • nice job

  • is that a fucking dinner mat??? lol hahahaha good drumming though

  • coool very great

  • great job!! great technique too, do you play in a marching band? this video goes to my favorites

  • good job!

  • please could you put it on google videos so i could download it to my computer

  • why?

  • Cool pad.

  • fiol...grande ;)

  • Really good job keep it up!

  • Nice drumming!

    It's a cool groove.

I think Steve Gadd is the best drummer, so much inspiration!
