Since local money is not real ( just like the "real" money ) but because it's local and has no value as money but as a means of exchange between local people trading with each other in goods and services it is strengthening the community and it's people.

The currency can be purchased by anyone at a number of locations at a 1-for-1 rate. Local businesses can agree to accept the currency at par with the Canadian dollar. Merchants are free to exchange Toronto dollars for canadian dollars twice a month, at the rate of 90 cents to the dollar.[1]

Tally sticks were great. We can simply print local money based on local confidence. While we're at it lets get rid of the IMF, WB, BIS, WTO, G20, UN, and the mainstream media as well.

I would agree with everything you said minus the Venus Project. You are obviously a Zeitgeist fan, and so am I, but IMO, the flaw in the Venus Project is the idea man can and should be replaced by machine, and that you can monitor and control all aspects of nature. This is not sustainable and there is very little room for individuality in that future. It feels like communism to me. I prefer Permaculture. No disrespect intended my friend.
Are you a Zeitgeist Movement Fan? I agree some aspects of TVP could be improved. TVP is not a doctrine and it would be man who would master machines. Communism and all the isms still rely on the monetary system. In a Resource Based Economy (RBE) everyone would benefit from earth's resources without predujuce. Thanks for the feedback.
Jct: Zeitgeist Addendum were great in getting to the first step in the derivation of the Miracle Equation. We need a new nationaly accepted credible currency that is accepted here and eventually worldwide that is totally disengaged from the dollar and is backed by redeemable tangibles.Everyone worldwide is being held hostage by this bullshit fiat currency and it needs to go along with the parasites that created it.

yeah good luck, you do realize gold and silver are mined right? and ore grades are crashing while energy used in mining is increasing exponentially. you think you will get rich buy buying gold, but in reality if people have no gold or silver then will make their own currency, they won't become slaves to you instead of the banks either. gold silver is still good though for security and because they are universally accepted.

what are these local Toronto dollars that you speak of ?
Frankenpalin 2 years ago
The Toronto Dollar, founded in December 1998, is a paper local currency used in Toronto, Ontario and backed by the Canadian dollar.[1]
The currency is administered by Toronto Dollar Community Projects Inc., a not-for-profit community group, and is a project of St. Lawrence Works.

Jct: Yes, Tally Sticks were one of the best non-counterfeitable Government currencies ever cut. From my poembank.htm
The record most successful case was in the British Isle,
Where "Tallies," sticks of money, left King Henry I with smile.
Accountants in the Treasury would split the stick in two,
One half would be the money and the other half its due.
A tally worth a pound of gold to pay the King's expense,
The other half amounted to taxation that made sense.

Implement these today for the Reality of the Venus Project tomorrow. Money = fear
1. Do not do business with the system, buy local.
2. Watch independent news and protect the internet for your information.
3. Do not join the military.
4. Do not support the energy companies.
5. Reject the government and its tyrannical policies.
6. Join The Venus Project and The Zeitgeist Movement.
7. Band with other like minds. Build the future.
The Resource Economy will set us free.
