  • Use the SanDisk Extreme 30MB/s Edition!! (Class 10)

    Thats FAST!!!

  • I goot a simpel 2gb memorycard. Its a littel bit to small but it will do the buisniss.

    U cant get everything u want u know! :D

  • I like your test, I use D80 and a 8gb SDHC card class 6

  • Why u people buy dSLRs if you dont know know the basics!

    Retards!

  • Probably cuz its easier than messing with the old SLRs' dumbass.

  • Are u dumb?

    RTFM!

  • u have to hold down a button that looks like it has a whole bunch of squares on it and then rotate the little wheel on the back and instead of saying S for single, move it to where is says H and has the squares by it.

  • THX ill try this wen i come home;P

  • hey i dont get it :O whats the point?

  • look at the speed difference there some are close to twice as fast. thats the point

  • i have the sandisk ultra II 1.0 gb

    is that good?

  • It is not quite to say if it is fast or not, you are away to tell settings of camera and these are main dates to know

  • Inserting or removing the memory card when the camera is still on can sometimes adversely effect the performance of the card., this should be taken into consideration with this test.

  • this is really slow. i can do 50 pics and just wait 20 sec

  • not on raw picture quality

  • ok, understood, thanks!

  • i use the sandisck extreme lll and it takes 8 sec.

  • I thought SDHC is made for faster video finishing ,not for photos.

amazing that ATP is actually faster.~~

  • hi there, i am very impress by the difference of speed between a normal d80 and yours using this cards. does this card actualy make it faster or do you do something else do speed it up like this.

  • matey! how did you get continuous shots like that?? I can't get it to work on my D80 :( can you help...

  • hi there, its one of the button close to your shutter release, cycle that and you'll be shootin continuous

  • Read the Manual.

  • Hi, if you have it in continuous shootig mode it will shoot 3 pictures a secound in this movie it appears that the camera is faster than it is because the movie is playing faster than real life.

If you look at the timer and you look at another clockat the same time, you will see that the timer goes way to fast.

    -Henry.

  • The time in the video it is the real time. The reason the camera is faster is because they turned off the noise reduction from the camera. Turn it off and you'll see how your camera's fps will dramaticaly increase.

  • nice teamwork...

  • Worrying about shutter life is stupid. Seeing that the D80 shutter lasts about 50000 cycles I don't think a few shots will matter.

Get out and shoot and forget about the shutter. When it dies, it dies and then you can just buy a new body.

  • OH WELL EXCUSE ME SORRY

The camera just wasn't designed to do anything like this! Nope! Impossible! *sarcasm*

  • i've got that card and its fucking SLOW!!!!!

i like my new Sandisk Exreme 3 8gb! LOL

  • To CoconutJoe1 :

I guess you got a fake Panasonic SDHC card.

  • Hello! I have a little problem, in my d80 i select the continous shooting mode, but the speed (supposed to be 3 shots per second) its not even close, i mean that it doesnt matter what shutter speed i select (125 to 4000) it takes the exact amount of time taking it! Im not sure if its the SDHC card, I have the Panasonic SDHC Class 4 4gb card! Can u please tell me what might be the problem? by the way, the time it processes this images is like instantly! so im not sure what is wrong...

  • Well, it has something to do with the Panasonic card you have. I guess it's a fake Panasonic card from China.

  • I guess your Panasonic card is a fake one.

  • @CoconutJoe1 actually this might be 2 years to late but ya need to turn off your auto focus or keep it on an object where your autfocus does not readjust

  • gettin this cam in a month :]

stookkeeddd.. thanks for the vid i'll consider it when im out buyin new memory cards

  • What are theese cards class?

  • There are very competent reviews of both DSLRs on:

    d p r e v i e w . c o m

    and

    k e n r o c k w e l l . c o m

    [only Nikon & Canon]

    And the prices are from:

    g e i z h a l s . a t

Well, since I have touched both the Canon 5D and the Nikon D300, I'm a bit against about plastic bodies but this is only my own preference.

I'm sure both cameras are quite good but see for yourself on the pages above.

  • ~ Part 2 ~

I used to consider purchasing the Pentax K10D but I just cannot be bothered to work with RAW files all the time; I'd only use it for creating some HDR photos but nothing more because converting and all the stuff would take too much time. This is the reason why I am rather going to buy a Nikon D80 with the Nikon 18-200mm 3.5-5.6 VR lens. But I will wait until the D90 comes out :]

  • Mean mashine.Tell me in compare to Pentax K10d what will make me better shopping Pentax K10d or Nikon D80-in all revievs here they are both good at nearly same price?I haven't any spare lences at home from noone so it doesn't make a difference which camera to buy.

  • ~ Part 1 ~

If I understood you correctly, I would say that you go for the Nikon D80 [body: 689€] - especially when you want nice JPEGs and good RAW results. Te pentax K10D [body: 564€] is only capable to produce good pics when using RAW.

  • I also wanted to camera so bad... now I got it... never regret it... I love it ...

Well, I guess am still at 11 Seconds...

  • i want this camera so bad

  • awsome awsome awsome gracias gracias gracias

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!

  • wow THAnkS now i know which memory card to buy

  • ok if u can help me that will be great anyone that reads this can u plz help me cause i have a d80 right out of the box and when i put it on M and continues mode. the shutter moves like if it was taking a pic but there is no pic in the mem card... can any one help me

  • You should always read the manual.

  • nice...memory cards do make a big difference.

  • Nice test. Whats the average price different between all the cards. Post them up.

  • Thank you for posting this. I have a Nikon D80 also.

To add to you video, I have and tested a Lexar Pro 133x 1GB SD Card in my D80 and it has a time of 9 seconds even with 6 RAW shots. Thanks again for the video.
