I've not tasted these domesticated, brown mealworms shown here; but their cousins, the bamboo larva (& log larva cousins) found in Asia, are without exception among the most delicious. I've not tasted these domesticated, brown mealworms shown here; but their cousins, the bamboo larva (& log larva cousins) found in Asia, are without exception among the most delicious. They are pure white, with nothing but fat & proteins, as they eat nothing but juicy, healthy bamboos. Collect them when they are still larva and fry them and they taste as good as, if not better than, fine quality caviar.

That professor is as intelligent as I was, when I was a small boy in Asia: we hunted for insects almost everyday. They tasted delicious!, in addition to, of course, the fat & proteins they give you.
People go "ewww" when you say that; and then they gobble up, weekly, kilos of horribly bad beef. Both animals like cattle & insects eat vegetation; but insects extract energy from plants to synthesize fat & protein molecules differently, so what we get from insects are healthier for the body...
