  • I have an Aussie/Shepherd mix who is 1 yr old. I am working with her to be a non traditional service dog. She is very smart and learns quick. Our problem is that if a door is at a jar she will not push it to open not matter what we do. Are there any suggestions that you have as "touch", Push, come and other normal phrases just are not working. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer. Love your other videos have learned a lot. thanks keep it up.

  • Trying to work with my Austrian Shepherd/Collie mix who is 1 years old and a few weeks how to be a non traditional service dog. My husband has some mobility issues in which she would be helping him pick things up that may drop on the floor and such as that. but one of the biggest barriers we have with her is if she sees that a door is closed although she could push it open she will not attempt to push it open. What do you suggest to get her to try. She will cry but that is all she will do.

  • I'm going to be ordering frisbees from dtworld when i saw this video also how do i mention this video to them to get a 10% discount?

  • Thank you, for your videos. I have learned and you have given me new ideas on teaching my dog. have you made a video on how to help your dog to pick up his toys? Thanks. Tom.

  • Wow !! this is great...my dog is insane over the frisbee. Thank you for some ideas!

  • Great video...awesome dogs!

  • I really like your video. If I can learn how to throw, we can do it. My dog loves it. I tend not to let go of the frisbee and throw it either way off to the right or even inbehind me. That confuses my dog, no doubt. I like how this shows throwing close up and how to do multibles.

  • What Big EYE You Have. Just Alien Form Third Kind.

  • i normally dont subscribe right of the bat to someone but great vid i have already started to get my red heeler wylie to catch mutliple frisbees thank you haha

  • ZAK...cool guy...keep them coming

  • I think golden retrievers suck at frisbee... my dog won't even look at it if it's in mid-air, and she'll only start running fast once she sees it's on the ground...

  • @javixm No golden retrievers do not suck at frisbee. you have to get your dog interested in the frisbee. theres lots of videos on youtube that you can watch that can teach you how to get your dog interested in a frisbee. it just takes practice and confidence.

  • @countrygirl4563 and patience

  • @tira606 yes that is right.

  • Yes, I would love to see more of your vidoes. I learned alot from them. I own two dogs, Austrailian Shepard - named Brinkley and a Austrailian Cattle Dog - named Bandit. I would love more of your teaching vidoes.

  • more videos please. start with the basics

  • I like your videos,i want more your videos, and you are great. I bet u put a lot effort in training ur dogs tricks and freestyle ?

  • Absolutely fantastic, loved watching these, could watch over and over. So informative too. Thank you so much George.

  • Keep the videos coming - I love them!

  • Love all your vids!

  • can i teach my 2 moths pup to catch a frisbee??

  • @orynomaji yes you can start. Use a beer mat or piece of card with a corner turned up so they can grab it. Flick it the puupy should chase out of curiosity, when they grab it call them. It is the very basic fetch. You only need 6 or 8 ft for a 8 week pup. From there it just builds up to the catching as Zaks dogs. Haven't done the Freestyle jumping off me yet though. Get the right dog Frisbee and allow their adult teeth to come through to protect the mouth.

  • imaa give u my dog for about a month and u can train her lol jk

  • 1:47 i love how supernova is coming closer and closer just like `let´s hope he confuses me with alpha´ :D

  • u help me to train my dog to play frisbee

  • More!!! We just got a border collie he is 8 weeks old, he has already shown interest in frisbees, but we haven't really started "training" him. What age would you say we most certainly need to start by?

  • Hey Zak can you please make a new video of u playing and teaching a German Shepherd just one vid and borow someones cuz i lowe that race and are the Collies hell if u dont teach them well or what?

  • cool, can you teach my newest pup, max/???? he's a austrailian labradoodle!! he is very easy to train!!!

  • how old are your dogs and how much time you get to teach this???

  • Zak,

My dog a 1.5 yo mini Auzzie and she catches the disc but then tries to kill it. She will shake it like she is rag doll it. (like she's breaking it's neck).

She loves retrieving the disc by catching it and brings it back and drops it a my feet - but like I said she tries to kill when she first catches it. Then after awhile she'll catch it and then try to rip it in half.

I've been through about 10 Kong frisbees which she has destroyed.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

  • More frisbee videos!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks man that really worked my dog Coop is the best at frisbee multiples now. THanks a lot!

  • more vids please :) (i have a 6 month old border collie that i rescued from a shelter in kentucky).

    ur dogs are cute btw.

  • It's very evident that your dogs are very fond of and obedient to you. It's inspiring to know that there are people in touch with animals - you'd be a perfect vet.

  • Zak, you’re the man! I adopted a 6-month-old Australian Shepherd from a rescue shelter. She was very timid and even scared of the soft frisbee I bought her. After watching your video today within 1 hour I had her playing and even tracking her frisbee on the ground. Keep posting these clips and we will see how many tricks I can teach her.

    Thanks,

    Phillip

  • more frisbee videos. it goes without saying that you are an extraordinary dog trainer, although i would like to see you training more stubborn breeds because the average dog is not so eager too please as the collies. but it is just incredible the way you comunicate to your dogs. i am going to start training my dog for frisbee now since he is very eager to please and full of energy. he is a not a purebred but very agile and devoted. thnks for your videos and congratulations!

  • how do you just talk in a normal tone of voice and they listen to you wow

  • my dogs to small...the frisbees nearly bigger than her...lol

  • More frisbee videos would be amazing! You and your dogs know so much about this sport, I feel confident in taking advice from you in this area. (In all the dog training videos of yours actually!) and a video about different types of dog frisbee would be very helpful for me and my dog. Thanks for your vids~

  • Is there a differance between a dog frisbee and "normal" frisbee? I bought one for my dog cause my husband really wants to play frisbee with him but it was hard for my dog to get them when it layed flat on the ground. I didn't mind this at all cause I knew he would figure it out himself on how to get the frisbee but my mother in law put holes and a bunch of strings on the frisbee so my dog can crab it better cause she said "she felt bad for my dog". Should I just get him a new frisbee?

  • Definitely more frisbee videos! I have a 14 week old Australian Shepherd and I'm very interested in getting her into this sport. It looks like a lot of fun for both the dog and owner. And it can be done anytime, anywhere! Great videos, more please :-) Especially focusing on multiple frisbees/freestlye.

  • nice video :P i have a australian shepherd of 11 months and she so full of energy(she goes nuts running after a ball :D ) this week we are going to a dog frisbee school and go work on that and i know she will love it.
