I am just waiting for OBAMA to take over officially as US President & then we can observe the US policies, political and financial situation more clearly. For till now US has not been able to capture global economy resulting in the deficit financing which started in 1990 & is more evident now. I am also half black/white. but whenever someone has to choose a race for me--they indicate black! That's not something I chose, it's what was chosen for me by society. If you had a run in with me and had to describe me you would say a light skinned-black girl. You would never say light-skinned white girl. Black people never made it a race thing...white people did. To answer your questions, yes, if I'm at an event and the national anthem is playing I do look at the flag and stay completely quiet. I was taught to RESPECT my country, its values, and its people.
