If you want to help someone like a beginning child get a feel for topspin groundstrokes, then rolling a playground ball or soccer ball on the ground with a racket can also help. For serves, I haven't seen anthing else but the Spin Doctor product. Not very expensive.

What helps me is to push out to the right but you must get under the ball also and must accelerate up.
