  • to get the same specs as a pc has on mac will cost you an extra 1000$ off the bat, ive been using a pc for over 15 years now and unless your a complete retard you don't get viruses and pretty much the same goes for all the "headaches"

  • Ever heard of bitlocker with TPM?

  • Apples of Potato's but this Advertisement has done so bad. What? Apple can't find talented advertisers, just dumb stupid VEGETABLES or whatever they are, I can't believe it.

  • lol i heard that mac only holds out 7% of the viruses

  • Hi,i would like a computer that runs by itself, cause i'm too stupid and get viruses easy, usually when i click on stuff like"Click here to get a virus dumbshit!".....(drool)...uhuuuh uhuuuh(goofy-disney)....

  • only retards get viruses on PC. pretty sure most of us haven't gotten any viruses on our PC, unless you watch Porn all day.

  • wtf? why are there so many thumbs down on this video? are there really that many people that like to be fucked by microsoft? apparently so.... because Microsoft windows is so far up there arse they can't see the humour in this video.

  • i dont want a mac that costs a fortune! Sorry we dont have that

  • @Ocelot152

That is a security function, it can be turned off easily.

  • @Ocelot152 thats most of the time theres still back doors in macs don't have that

  • I think it is kind of weird, that you can't run OSX on the hardware you choose. Why doesn't Apple make that possible?

I would really like to try out a mac, just to see if the shown arguments are based on facts. So I searched around the internet for so-called Hackintoshs. It seems, that I have no chance installing one, because I have got a RAID5.

  • JOE FKN SWANSON! :D

  • I don't know much about the newer macs, last one I used I hated though, something about it only having one button on the mouse. At any rate, I have windows 7 and, the only virus problems I've had with windows 7 are ones i myself caused, and all of them have been resolved (usually by built in means) quickly and easily.

  • viruses lol what sites she wants check out :P

  • The reason mac didn't say anything about itself is because it doesn't have a fast processor. My 2008 pc is faster than a macbook pro. And I never got a virus or blue screen.

  • This is actually true

  • I am going to buy a Mac... and then install Windows 7 on it because I love Mac so much... wait.. what the hell am I talking about?? maybe I should buy a Ferrari and then install a Honda civic engine and go to work with it.. :)

  • patrick warburton is a funny mother f@#ker

  • Hey, I'm using Linux. On my PC. What happens now?

  • all of mac's commercials are crap.

  • too bad no cod mw2 on mac..let alone hardly any games, but PC dosent need to point that out in a commercial because most people who buy PCs do research and dont make their decision based on a commercial

  • Who makes their decision on a commercial anyway?

I have a Mac with both OSX and Windows 7 on it, works great. Never using Windows though, if I want to play games. I have gaming consoles..

  • then why not just throw Windows 7 away?

  • lolz

i think i'll go with MAC

    lolz

  • Wow.... i find it funny that ever since windows 7 came out, Mac hasnt been able to really say theres is better.

Saying people are switching to mac, and that Windows constantly updates itself to be the best isnt that insulting...

i think these commericals are really just getting more publicity for PC's and Windows.

...and less features on a mac...

    Wow...

I'm going to upgrade from my Leopard to a Windows 7 OS.

All because of these commericals ^^

    Thanks Mac! =D

  • I just want a PC that's not expensive...

  • ....... you must be dumb macs are the expensive ones a $3000 pc thats top of the line vs a top of the line mac wich would be like $5000

  • what are u talking about?

  • I'm a pc user

  • So much lies in apple's ads.

Computers don't get Viruses. Operating Systems do.

Actually I'm happy with Linux. On a PC.

  • i agree

  • Yaay Allison Case! What a cutie. She went UC Irvine. Fellow drama major :D

  • id eat that bitch's cunt for days

  • I like PCs..... when they're running Linux. I like Macs.... when their running MacOSX. And Final Cut Studio. And a bunch of other really fine applications that I need to use in my work. And so much more.... I like the Apple ads too because they get so many people's backs up! Lol.

  • LOOOL the only thing they seem to have on thier side these days is the virus thing , use fucking antivirus!

  • I think the funny thing about this is that Mac's are PCs too :D

  • Brock Sampson.......

  • The only reason Macs don't have viruses is because corporations don't have the time to work a damn Mac, so they just use a simple Windows computer instead. Being that 99.99% of the worlds companies use Windows, thieves and hackers make viruses for Windows.

Mac doesn't even get the worst kind of attention.

  • that is wrong and it is like 94%, and mac uses UNIX and UNIX is very secure like linux, haven't you heard of this new thing called wikipedia?

  • Haven't you used common sense that Wikipedia can be edited by anyone?

It's not more secure. You can still do the same shit to get a virus on a Mac like you can on a Windows computer.

Here's a thought: Go get an education and stop believing Wikipedia.

  • Windows Viruses: Millions upon millions upon millions.

Mac Viruses: Only a couple of hundred, and they are extremely rare.

Not to mention mac didn't suffer from Y2K... (Am I correct in saying that?)

I can't wait to save up enough money to get a macbook pro.... <<3333 I'm so sick of this 7 yr old windows xp... bugs galore, won't update and microsoft won't give me ANY technical support. Now when my iPod bugged up, Apple was with me all the way! APPLE FTW!

  • There are millions of Mac Viruses too. Don't act like they're sanitary or some shit.

Y2K never happened and it'd affect Macs too anyway.

Have fun spending over $3000 for something that could've been $1000.

Your computer is 7 years old. That's probably why its broken as fuck, and you probably broke it.

When MY iPod started crashing and buttons breaking, they told me its "out of warranty", it's only been one year. WTF?

In short: You're an idiot and believe everything Apple marketing throws at you

  • Good one, Ponton! :D

  • You will be as happy as I am with Mac... my wife bought one 3 yrs ago... and guess what.. I still can't figure out how to make a copy of my dvd using this super user friendly machine. DAMN IT!

  • thousands of viruses is the most ridicoulous claim ive ever heard windows computers work p[erfectely fine my 65 year old grandma uses windows vista and she loves it she never has a problem so mac ovbisouly sucks.

  • a 65yr old person wouldn't need stuff like iLife, final cut express, mac's are designed for professional video editing and stuff like that.

mac's are for pro's, not 65 yr olds

  • Macs are for little kids who don't know what a real computer is. All you do on a Mac is screw around on iTunes and other "i" programs that screw up files to no end, cost 4 times as much, and break fairly easily.

  • Most mac users don't use iTunes a lot and windows users use useless windows media player and the reason macs cost more is because they are better, and macs don't break "easily".

  • I have two Apple programs working on my computer and both equally suck because they are constantly changing the format of the files on my PC. One example is Quicktime, which changes all of my Windows Media Player files to Quicktime movies, so now I have to uninstall Quicktime, then reinstall it so I can use iTunes for some goddamn reason.

  • Apple programs for macs not pc's, what is the point of programming something well for crappy pc's? Also quicktime for pc's is now discontinued :p

  • Then explain why all of my WMF's get turned into Quicktime Movies?

  • because quicktime feels sorry for you using crappy WMF.

  • when you install quicktime there is an option to make files open with WMF or quicktime.

  • Actually, whenever I open a Quicktime movie, ALL of my WMV files are converted to Quicktime movies

  • There was an option for that to. Learn to read then complain about quicktime

  • No they aren't. Better as in... a better processor, better memory? For the same price? I can sell a Honda for $70,000 and say it's better than a Mercedes, but is it truly...?

  • I dont believe you!!!

  • who said that to you? just talking without knowledge, aren't you?

  • i know i agree with redz220 u all act like kids fighting over dumb things...who cares whats better...but just 4 the records pc will have you wasting time in your life..lol

  • If you occasionally have trouble finding the "start" button, then it's worth paying double the price for a Mac. Otherwise, a PC will offer many more options besides "open photo gallery" that you can explore.

    Exaggerated, but fairly true.

  • Mac Viruses: "Yo soy tu padre" and "Macarena"; Mac OS is efective, relatively sure and nice but is not Fort Knox

  • name a mac virus you can't...

  • yea because mac is so lame people dont wanna make viruses for it

  • no macs use unix so nothing can be installed without your knowledge its 99% safe from all virus's the only way you could get a virus is if someone knew your password with windows all you have to do is visit the wrong website

  • @muk546 Don't mean to sound pedantic, but you're talking about malware, not viruses. Viruses are self-installing and self-replicating, and there are are currently NO Mac viruses because the OS has been properly designed. Anybody with a library card/internet access could write malware, and while the platform does its best to protect its users by warning of dangers when running software of unspecified origin it's ultimately the user's choice if they want to run "britneygetsnaked.app".

  • @liealvin2 send me this "britneygetsnaked.app" ill record my self opening it if it asks for my password of course im not gonna give it my password but ill run it

  • @muk546 if you are dumb enough to surf with administrator privileges then yes.

  • @muk546

lol... Do people really think it's impossible to get a virus or hacked? Kid, you got it wrong. The only reason Windows gets viruses is because so many people around the world have one. A hacker isn't going to waste time making a virus for a Mac, if he can hit 10x the amount of people by making it for Windows.

  • @muk546 unix is free but the time you waste trying to track down drivers for new hardware isnt

  • @muk546 Anyone can get a virus on a MAC if viruses were actually made for the 1% of the computer market share that is.

  • how do I name a mac virus that I can't, you're an asshole

  • These ads are getting old and lame. Its time for a new direction Apple!!

  • These apple Ads are ridiculous. All they can do now is use the virus/malware attack. Lol Apple is intending to include antivirus in future iterations of OSX. There is a reason.

  • I've had windows XP for years and never had a blue screen and barely have any problems and I don't recall having a virus

  • People that harp on windows bluscreens etc are full of crap. Thats because all they do is use comparions from 15+ years ago. Windows XP, Windows 7 even Vista are NOT windows 95/98. Its a completely different operating system/kernel.

Thats like me trying to compare Windows XP to OS9 and judge which one is better. XP would blow OS9 out the window.

  • You would have to be dreaming to say that Windows XP and Vista don't blue screen!

Not only that by Windows machines need to be rebuilt every 6 - 12 months or they loose their top preformance ability.

You obviously have never even tried to use a Mac as your full time OS. If you had we would not be having this conversation.

  • I never said they never blue screen. But its so rare. And lets not forget MAC's blue screen as well. Its just not a blue screen.

  • Seriously? This is what Apple can "come back" with?

    pfffffft! Pathetic...

  • What a lame commercial!

Apple doesn't know what to do anymore to have to face the truth and admit that their system, even though they are great, are WAY overpriced.

You got to start coming off that cloud Apple.

Everything you can do on a Mac, and can do on a PC for a heck of a lot less money.

  • that was bad. i know macs are good and all but that sucked

  • Some call it comprimise. I call it $1,020 over charge.

Yea Macs are great -- they'd better be -- you could buy 2-3 comperable PC's for the same money. If you've got the extra cash - GREAT, but most people don't.

  • Currently at BB:

  • You're omitting the graphics card in the Macbook Pro. And you are not mentioning the costs of the antivirus and the cool software(built in in the Macbook Pro of course) in the HP model.

In the long term buying a Mac is cheaper and you don't have to fight against viruses and it simply works =) .

  • My 3 y/o Vista PC just works too. I've consistently been able to get free anti-virus software though retail offers and the like, and I have all the "cool software" I need. including the latest games, which sadly (for Mac users anyway) are nowhere to be seen on the Mac platform

  • Seriously?? $1,020 extra??

    Anti-virus $0-30

    Video card $100??

I'm not saying the Mac isn't a cool computer-- it is. I am saying it's overpriced and not as good of a value. Bang for the buck my friend.

Justify it any way you want -- it's just not as good of a VALUE (performance per dollar).

Oh, and I'm running a quad core vista pc w/ (2) 1TB WD Black HDD's, and a 1GB NVidia video card that I have less than $500 into. Mac pro similarly configured would be 10x that. Not a good VALUE.

  • these ads... apple can't avoid bending the truth can they? if you have to do that to sell your product, you shouldn't be selling it at all.

  • The Tick is a PC

  • I've had Macs since 1993. No problems. I use several printers. No problems. I have two PCs. Problems all the time. I have an iMac. No problem at all. No compromises! LOL

  • stop watching gay porn and you wont have an issue. i dont need an antivirus or ANYTHING of the sort. my pc will out perform your mac anyday

  • It's ultimately down to preference; I have two PCs and a Mac - all with similar specs but put to different uses. In hardware terms they're all very similar...... it's just that my 15-month old Mac is a much, much better system to work with. And if I want to run XP, Vista or even Linux on my Mac I can do. But I'll stick the best OS for my needs - MacOS10.6.

The Apple ads continue to make me laugh - they always hit a raw nerve with the defensive Windows crowd! LOL.

  • Except for the fact that you probably paid four times as much as I would for the same specs.

  • ^^ this

  • wow BGR was right, that was lame. I mean i really like the way Apple products look and the cool graphics, but your "paying a lot for the brand" will their ever be a OS with cool effects like Apple, but with the ruggedness and worldwide compatibility like Windows??? But Bad Apple lamest ad yet. Windows FTW!!!

  • Maybe if people used trend micro or bitdefender instead of the resource hogging symnatec, and didnt buy a crappy HP computer, theyd actually like PCs..

  • I have an HP lappy, 3 years, now running W7, when I happen to have some issues with my screen they fix it, no charge, just the time to get it repaired.

  • These commercials are so F-ing old now.... who wants a Mac anyway....

  • @Inous I Do?

  • Patrick Warburton FTW!!

  • I am "compromising" right now on a notebook and a desktop. No regrets here.

  • incredibly weak response Apple

  • Same stuff, again and again, and again

  • I love these ads because the PCs hate them! I'm afraid I'm having to "compromise" my Macs - I have Parallels installed, meaning that I can run Windows apps as well as the superior Mac programs I know and love. Never mind!

  • ....last time i checked the new OsX comes with Antivirus solution......so ur asking for no viruses????, and lots of headaches????....and u picked a Mac???? ROFL, go buy a printer, any, now try getting that to work on a MAC with no issues!!!

  • i beg to differ you see im not in this mac pc crap but i do own a mac and a pc and have never had problems with any of them (printer compatibility on both ends too with 0 ISSUES)

  • checked, the printer works perfectly.

  • @fenrriho

Same with Linux, FreeBSD, and Solaris. There Rootkit hunters, they all come standard/recommended anymore when you use a UNIX/UNIX based system. Double check your logic next time.

  • @RaverAmbitions ???

  • It all depends on the maker of the printer, but I was not suggesting that is only printers but hardware in general, everything for Macs has to be specific for Mac, on windows everything works, even the usb data modems have issues on Macs, when u connect those to a pc they work immediately

  • Totally untrue. Don't forget that Apple was the first maker to universally adopt USB - back in 1998/99 with the iMac range. I don't have ANY connectivity problems with my Macs, whereas I'm ALWAYS having problems with my PCs. I'm junking my Toshiba laptop soon for a much better hardware/software combination - a MacBook Pro. I couldn't do my work with any old PC laptop anyhow.

  • I am ready to "compromise"

  • Crap! Compromise...seriously? Using apple is all about having to compromise, less options, less freedom. Steve's way or the high way

  • "When you're ready to COMPROMISE..." ha ha. Excellent choice of words Apple!

    So true.

  • PATRICK WARBURTOOOOOON!
