nice cage i have a lot of rotastak myself for my one hamster how long does it take u to clean the beast and how often do u do it? i do mine a bit at a time but i only have a quarter of what you have

I clean 2-3 cages and some tubing each day and it takes me an hour. It used to take me longer, but most of my time was taken up with disassembly and reassembly. Now I'm so used to it, it hardly takes much time and washing all the parts in warm water with mild detergent takes just minutes. My hamsters are both almost completely toilet trained, so that cuts down on the mess them make and helps keep the pieces in good condition.

It's like a little hidey-hole. The tunnel goes down one side, underneath that fake rock, to a little burrow, then the tunnel leads out and up, one the other side. Of course the rock piece twists and unlocks, so you can lift it off and clean inside....

I shudder to think, because I've been buying it over thirteen years! But when I think about how much it COULD HAVE cost, if I bought every piece from new...well, THAT just doesn't bear thinking about!And the years of fun for my hamsters have been priceless. I can also see that many people would have spent a lot more, replacing cheaper, worse quality cages every year or two when they got chewed, stinky or rusty...

why did rotastak stop making the lunar launch pad? i thought it was ace i dont have one but i mite but it and add it on to my palace nearly as big as urs :)

I don't know...I've never managed to find that out...Really wish I knew somebody who worked for the company...Maybe I might try calling their customer service line, the next time I'm in the UK.

It's certainly more time intensive than before I extended the systems! Luckily my girls are almost completely toilet trained, or it'd be much harder work! :)
