If I wanted to hear Skip's version, I'd have clicked the other link. Why be disappointed that you didn't get to hear a carbon copy played by a different person? I mean, if you ask a classical musician they might say a song has its written or "Platonic" form, but I respect subtle alterations in the name of expression, or being able to watch another's learning process instead of expecting everybody to live by a certain standard which suggests that one either be an instant virtuoso or stop playing.
I think you got the plucking/strumming closer than most covers I've heard. I was wondering if you have a tab for this or if you just worked it out by ear?
This is a cool cover. Reminds me of the movie 'Crossroads'....when the kid plays a blues song when he finds his girl has left in the morning in the rain......thumbing down a Mississippi highway...... He should of played this tune.....
As for the rendition, I thought it was brilliant. Respect.

amazing, could work on the outro and you would have the whole thing in full, cant underestimate the intro and outro licks when it comes to blues

Really dig your rendition, sang it quite well too.
Lovely guitar as well, Guild makes some sweet sounding acoustics, your model specifically is a beauty, I love it's thin body and tone.
