One of the writers said on the DVD commentary track of this episode that they actually filmed a lengthy scene where we see Vic confess to everything on camera, and that the scene was incredible (of course) but they had to edit it down to make time for other things in this episode.
@LeBronForTheWin What are you talking about? Two of his best friends are dead, the other is prison, he'll never see his family again and he's stuck on desk duty until the terms of his agreement are up. Vic lost everything he ever cared about.
@Slipknot808 Yeah but would he rather go to prison for life with no parole or just go on with life? That wasn't my point anyway. My point is that letting the truth out can be extremely satisfiying a lot of times because you get all of that guilt right off your chest. But it's even better for Vic because he let it out with no consequences, well except for the ones you mentioned lol but I mean crime and prison wise
Absolute brilliance, I love how horrified she was and the guy standing on the other side of the glass too, then dutch and claudette walk in and find out what mackey is really like. This is what I want to happen to Dexter in the series final, he confesses to everything and deb and all of them see the monster he really is.
@FangBangerable I don't know about that, I think the 5th was the best, but I think the Shield was one of the very few shows that never fell off, and that ended because it was the natural time to end rather than because it was getting worse as a show
Better than Mad Men, The Sopranos, The Wire, and yes, even Breaking Bad...and I've seen every single episode of each of those shows...this series was and will forever be the absolute pinnacle of great television. NOTHING stands up to the intensity of this series. My all-time favorite and insanely under-appreciated. Seasons 5 and 7 destroy any show's entire run, and I mean that with all of my heart.
Vick:- "Ehmm..un attimo che ci penso..ehm..si..ah...ehm..poi..no, prima..poi...si...scusa ma devo deframmentare..è troppa roba..eheh..umm..si..ecco ci sono quasi..."
@bnkosu definately. its all unsubstantiated allegations against Ronnie. All from an admitted cop killer. They didnt have any actual evidence against him.
@efs120 there IS no real evidence. Thats what Im saying. Hes got all his money hidden, he was always very careful, more careful then any other team member. Of the four witnesses that had intimate details about the Strike Teams dirty deeds, 2 are dead, and one is an admitted cop killer. The other, Ronnie, isnt going to admit to anything. He doesnt have to! They have no evidence, no witnesses. And the best part is, Ronnie knew NOTHING about the killing of Terry. Hes scott free man!
@Sodiumreactor Crimes involving money weren't the only ones they committed. Yeah, Vic's an admitted cop killer, but the circumstances he confessed under mean he was telling the 100% truth. Why would he lie in that situation? Even for just a handful of the bad things they did, Ronnie is up shit creek. Witnesses could also be tracked down for some of those other crimes.
@efs120 Are YOU going to believe a guy that killed a cop? A guy who WAS a cop and then killed one? Neither is any jury. Vic has absolutely NO credibility whatsoever. No jury will believe anything he says period. Didnt you see how everyone was looking at him in the barn near the end of the last episode? Plus, most of the witnesses are gang members/criminals and half are probably either dead, or incarcerated. MORE credibility problems. Ronnie is fine, he just posted bail!
@Sodiumreactor LOL OK bro...no criminal has ever been convicted as a result of testimony from another killer/criminal. I'm sure they couldn't even charge him as an accessory to murder, because who would believe a murderer? You are right on...Shawn Ryan definitely wanted the audience to think Ronnie was going to get away with everything, too.
Whoa, I forgot how good this series was. Will there be any series as great is this? The song is one of the sheild promos was right on point. Black Lab - This Night
Vic was a good man. He always looked after his men, but in the end, he saved his own ass. Like anyone else would. Anyone who said they would do different is either a fool or a liar.
Despite all the shit he's done, I was still rooting for him and Ronnie to get out and go to Mexico as worst case scenario. Even after he incriminated Ron, we're talking about Vic right? He always digs his team out of any hole. Well I guess his shovel became blunt and he couldn't dig any more.
Such a cowardly but true move by him, he's a survivor, he cares deeply for those close to him and does everything he can for them, but when it boils down to things, he does what he needs to survive.
@darkshad109 He had no idea Corrine was working with the FUCKING COPS ASSHOLE!!! Do you think that if he knew that he would've sold Ronnie out the way he did regardless? He had a chance to do it at the beginning of this episode, he didn't. Corrine was a disloyal cunt from season 1. Fuck you if you think otherwise. MACKEY 4 LIFE!!!
@darkshad109 "Such a cowardly but true move by him, he's a survivor, he cares deeply for those close to him and does everything he can for them, but when it boils down to things, he does what he needs to survive."
You contradict yourself like a motherfucker, you piece of shit.
@darkshad109 Go fuck yourself you two-faced faggot! You got yourself boxed into this situation. Better make more fucking sense when you post a comment next time.
Greed killed the team. Lem's dead, Shane couldn't survive alone and is dead, Ronnie got betrayed by Vic and will serve a life sentence, and Vic...will never see his family again and will have to work a desk job.
As much as we all cheered for Vic for 7 years, this was the moment in the series where I think even the most die hard Vic supporters realized just how much of a monster he truly was. Probably my favorite scene in the whole series.
Wouldn't it be cool if Vick did that long pause, then started sobbing and said, "in third grade I cheated on my history exam... in fourth grade I stole my uncle Max's toupee and glued it on my face when i played Moses in my Hebrew school play... in fifth grade I knocked my sister Edie down the stairs (breath) and I blamed it on the dog...

I felt bad for Ronnie but it doesnt pays to be the follower and not the leader.

even tho hes a bastard and got off scott free i feel bad for vick i mean at the end he has nothing left all his freinds are dead or in jail his family in witness protection and hes stuck at the desk
They couldnt convict Ronnie of anything because their only witness was Vic, an admitted cop killer. Ronnie lost his job and spent a few years in custody, but was finally cleared of all charges. He now plots revenge on Vic, with his allies Army (Shanes old partner) and Smitty.
@xs1ner I pulled it out of think air, Chong. And i think it sounds pretty good. Ronnie locates Coryn, and beds her, then contacts Vic and tells him the details. Vic cant do anything to crazy cause he is still employed by ICE. Its a great new series!

Most powerful scenes in this movie.
1. Shane talking to Lem before killing him.
2. The ending with Vic sitting alone in his office.
3. This scene
4. Vic's return to the barn, knowing he's fucked Ronnie over.
