yo everyone, i was lookin through basic dj equipment for itch, and The Numark NS7 looks to be the best of the best for Itch and like top notch in just about every aspect youd want from a mixer, but i could be missin sumtin so im askin if u know or have heard or known anyone who has it and what they think, cuz they usually sell for around 1200 but i found a company in Taiwan selling at for 600 so might be a sweet deal if that vci 300 is missing something

@nerp23 The souncard in the vci 300 is actually quite good, N.I. audios are better but if you want precision the vci 300 is the way to go, if you like gadgets and a bunch of options vci-100 is great, but you really cant go wrong with either one. imo

it really depends on which software you want to use. The 300 is great for Itch- the 100 for Traktor.

since you had an opportunity to use both which software can you do more with, i had read your reviews and others, and it seems at the present moment i would be better off the vci-100 and traktor setup

if you want to play tracks and do basic djing then itch is nice and straight forward. if you want to dig deeper and learn new techniques then traktor + the vci-100 is the way to go.

Simple question... why is the VCI-300 nearly double for a device that runs a software that you feel is more basic? I know that build quality isn't an issue since the VCI-100 was built like a tank.

I know the VCI-300 has some sound card features but those are rather sparse; certainly not worth the extra $400...

I was really hoping for this to be no more than $600. They aren't going to sell too many of these for $900.

i need your opinion ean. i currently use scratch live when i do gigs but it is a hassle at times for the tech and other DJs coz i have to rewire the turntables/players cables to pass through the scratch live box and into the mixer. and there are times where i have to leave after my set coz i still got another gig to play at that same night. i am really considering the vci-300 as an alternative since its compact and i could just plug the main out of the vci-300 to an empty channel in the mixer.

I think Traktor is more powerful for electronic music. The vci-300 is only supported for Itch but we have a patch that will allow you to use it with Traktor.
