yo everyone, i was lookin through basic dj equipment for itch, and The Numark NS7 looks to be the best of the best for Itch and like top notch in just about every aspect youd want from a mixer, but i could be missin sumtin so im askin if u know or have heard or known anyone who has it and what they think, cuz they usually sell for around 1200 but i found a company in Taiwan selling at for 600 so might be a sweet deal if that vci 300 is missing something
Is the vci 300 really that basic as your replies to some other conments? I am just starting to mix and I would like to know if the vci is realy bad for the price I paid, which is 600?
I heard or saw that you can use the vci 300 with vdj is that right? and can you use any other softwear with the vci300? Last question: How can you make the vci 300 even more effective in terms of buying the effect controller or whatever?
Rico Suave wants his bandana back. Sorry man, couldn't resist. I didn't like the tempo change stuff tho, sounds like what I used to do with my Numark 1775 w/ built in sampler back in the early '90's.
ok..lets say that i got the vestax vci-300 with the itch software..and then i coonect it to my laptop ..but my laptop dose not have songs on it!!can i connect my ipod to my laptop and load the ipod music on serato itch??and plpay it though the vestax vci-300??
@nerp23 The souncard in the vci 300 is actually quite good, N.I. audios are better but if you want precision the vci 300 is the way to go, if you like gadgets and a bunch of options vci-100 is great, but you really cant go wrong with either one. imo
@nerp23 No disrespect but who would use the vci 300 in a club? You'd be better off using serato scratch live if thats your thing and better than that the cdj-1000/2000 (the standard setup in clubs). The
I am not to familiar with midi mapping, but i like the looks of this controller, seems more legit than the herc rmx (piece of ass). If this is a native controller to vdj, that would be great news. plz let me know thanx.
Cool. Great to listen to. But! This is trick is not going to impress anyone on the dancefloor. People pay good money to boogie, not check my skills! LOL
He ean i have a few?'s First is the scraching better on the vci-300 i love to scratch and i'm not wanting to buy new tables and the itch software seems good?
since you had an opportunity to use both which software can you do more with, i had read your reviews and others, and it seems at the present moment i would be better off the vci-100 and traktor setup
if you want to play tracks and do basic djing then itch is nice and straight forward. if you want to dig deeper and learn new techniques then traktor + the vci-100 is the way to go.
Simple question... why is the VCI-300 nearly double for a device that runs a software that you feel is more basic? I know that build quality isn't an issue since the VCI-100 was built like a tank.
I know the VCI-300 has some sound card features but those are rather sparse; certainly not worth the extra $400...
I was really hoping for this to be no more than $600. They aren't going to sell too many of these for $900.
For just a midi device, I agree- that price is high. however for those that want the specific performance of the ITch + VCI combo then that is the price they will need to pay.
could i hook up back up support cd players into th estructure of the vci 300 - basically does the thing have audio inputs? if so how many? i do weddings as much as clubs so i for my piece of mind i need a safety net if my program of comp crashes - i'll switch over to my cds...
i need your opinion ean. i currently use scratch live when i do gigs but it is a hassle at times for the tech and other DJs coz i have to rewire the turntables/players cables to pass through the scratch live box and into the mixer. and there are times where i have to leave after my set coz i still got another gig to play at that same night. i am really considering the vci-300 as an alternative since its compact and i could just plug the main out of the vci-300 to an empty channel in the mixer.
Ean, which software in your opinion is better for techno, electro or schranz... serato or traktor...?Will VCI 300 works well with trakor or it is only supported by Serato...thanks for answer:)
I think Traktor is more powerful for electronic music. The vci-300 is only supported for Itch but we have a patch that will allow you to use it with Traktor.
can u connect a cdj to the vestax?
