Its actually from Mystic Cave Zone while playing as 2 player mode on Sonic 2 The Hedgehog on Sega Genesis.

(replying on normal account) The reason i know is because i have a Mega Drive somewhere, lol, i remember playing it in 2 player on that zone. Sonic 2 was definitely the best of the Sonic to Sonic 3 line.
