I study ancient greek at school. It's not like modern greek, but it's cool I think. Almost useless in Italy, but cool.

@Pingu29595 Ancient Greek is a very important language to know if someone wants to expend his thinking borders. Don't worry about if it's useless or not ,people who study Ancient Greek and other Ancient languages ,are able to understand things better. Better thinking,better knowing of european and world history ,better knowing their legacy.

In my opinion if you know Latin,Ancient Greek,Ancient Arabic and other ancient languages such as Gothic(ancient german) and Anlgosaxonic language...you are in position to discover how Languages are not so dead as we think.They are living organisms and those who make them their kids,they will read the book called "World" ,not just pages of it... like ordinary people.

@bromostomos they are very similar to modern greeks my friend :) every greek modern word has its roots from an ancient one.every one :) its like latin and italian.if y know well ancient greek u can understand many from the modern ones :)
