These cars are made to go fast, and if giving the cars a paddle shift makes the gear changes quicker impacting on the acceleration of rhe vehicle, then exotic companies will do so.

Man the 360 sounded perfect. It was so raw and metallic sounding. No fake exhaust trying to make it sound growly and mean. Just a pure, high-revving, screaming little 3.6 liter V8. Love it.

I like this vid because you can see the advantage of f1 paddle shifters vs manual. For the ricers who claim they can shift faster no you don't wanna bag thru gears on a Ferrari. This isn't a civic with spoon gear children. I don't recall a short shifter made for a 360 and the layout in the console won't allow it. So good ol long travel it is.

Put a better driver in that 360, it should win until the end..coz the driver in the Ferrari shifted like he's cruising fast on the freeway...not really like in a drag race. It's a granny shifting. The Maserati was able to overtake at Ferrari 4th / 5th gear...too much time taken to shift.

As an Italian, I can say that the Maserati GranTurismo and the Ferrari 458 Italia are the most beautifull cars we ever made. I'd like to see a race between them, in which we see once the Maserati and once the Ferrari.

Watching this video I truly understood how much a sequential gearbox influences this kind of races: if the Maserati had a manual or the Ferrari a sequential (like in the 458), the Ferrari would have won.

Like the 370z, the 3.7 liter engine is a evolution of the VQ35 of the 350z, but the 3.5 of the 350z sounds much better than the 370z, to be really accurate, the 350z sounds nice, the 370z sounds crap, like a vacum cleaner. The 360 sounds fantastic, and can be a avolution and better engine tham the one in the 355, but i like the sounds of the older 355, and the looks as weel :p

@weed46 They both are great but the 355 has more maintenance and most are found in 6 speed manual. 360 is great but much more comfortable and with the upgraded f1 trans, less maintenance cost. I am in shock that the 458 is only an f1 car:(

@Mraptor55 Don't know about maintenance costs, but I would rather have the 6 speed manual than the F1 gearbox that's tends to be very jercky off the track, and aren't very fast. If you are a proper driver, you should drive a manual gearbox, you feel more conected to the car, and is more reliable as well. And to be honest, a ferrari like the 430 360 or 355 shouldn't be comfortable, they are just "go as fast as you can" cars, if you want to cruise, you should get a 911, 612 or 550....
